what kind of video settings are you running for it to look like that? (besides the gamma obviously lol)

ive been through some pretty dense sh*t up in the woods of northern ontario and i can say for certain that a plastic compass placed in a jacket or pants while busting through the brush does not take damage. also, something strong like a knife or magazine does not take damage. i can see it being valid if you were rolling around with berries in your pockets but otherwise most things would not take damage just by running through the brush. (granted i wasnt wearing trackpants and a rubber raincoat tho so im sure certain clothes could be made to be more susceptible to wear and tear )

nope. your public guy is fine. private and public are completely different sets of characters. you can play on as many private servers as you like and none will interfere with your public server guy.

Oh yeah for sure sorry. If the visual fixes it then definitely some bug saying youre unconscious when in fact you're not. Hopefully someone with a bit more experience with that can chime in and help you out lol

Try going to config and then video. See if that brings back your screen. I know sometimes i would get a blank purple screen after loading, i could hear sound as if i was ingame but it would stay blank screen. Just by going in to video settings brought my screen back and i was good to go. Maybe it could work for that as well?

Change servers until you find one that has loot. May take a few (or dozen) tries if certain servers havent changed since the roll back.

are blue berries bad in.54? I know when the wasteland servers were all the rage in .55 i ate tons of blue ones and never got sick.

But even with hicks admitting many servers were truly broken and thats why they had to revert to the placeholder system; everyone still seems to think the roll back was because of casual coastal noobs who couldnt find all the guns and ammo in 10 minutes. But again, beating a dead horse. The testing continues for all..

No, remember the dayz elite hardcore knew everything. Those finding broken servers like you and i and many others are clearly dress wearing broom fighters on the coast.

Hey all, was wondering if anyone else was wishing there was an app out for Dayz like wow armory. Anyone familiar with that app would know that it is very helpful for all kinds of reasons but i think for Dayz it would really help for trading. I know for myself i hate having to alt-tab out of the game to make a list of my inventory in order to post trades here on the forums, for fear of someone attacking me while im out of the game. Or having to take a screen shot and try to remember the condition of each item etc. Dayz Armory App would be great to be able to see your chars gear/inventory while away from the game and allow people to see what they have to trade or what they need to replenish next time they log in. Also could be used to see what kind of gear looks like on your guy or whatever. I know the game isnt about "playing dress up" but cmon they wouldnt have 40 different jackets/shirts/pants if there wasnt some dress up element involved. But yeah, someone should get on that lol

Showed up after everyone had gone. About 940pm. Looked like a kickass bush party the early morning after. Gear laying around everywhere, burned out campfires, an old beat up truck out front. All that was missing were empty cans and passed out guests! :) Hope to make the next one!

question about servers... does bohemia make money off of the number of servers that are online? as in, if a bunch of servers start folding due to people leaving the bugged out servers....does that affect bohemia's income? would it not stand to reason that they pretty much had to roll back to a more stable loot system in order to appease all the people who rent servers if everyone was dropping the bugged servers for more properly stable loot servers?

read the stable 0.55 update. it has lots of stuff about the trouble some are having. some servers are not spawning loot properly, so they are basically empty. http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/223239-stable-branch-055-discussion/ outhouses and cars seem to have the most items. but again if you're always coming across those and they have no loot, you may be on a crappy server. so bounce around until you find a sever that has loot. (you'll see it's a massive difference) also, you might have to resort to apple and berry picking for most of your food supply until you can get some actual food. again, broken servers are barren wastelands. working servers are much much more survivable.

agreed hunting needs to be a bigger part of the game and needs vast improvements. i don't want to have to spend all my free survival time playing farmville.

seems like a common thing with being randomly cold. even if you jog around a bit and have on pants/coat/hat, as soon as you stop to pick apples or berries it takes no time for you to cool off again. what's the ambient temp in chenarus anyways that a gorka jacket/wool coat/bomber jacket/winter hat etc. can't keep you warm during a sunny day?

yeah because everyone like yourself kept saying "loot is easy, move inland" and so i did, and died, many times with many chars. i don't get to play for hours on end like some people. so it took me a while to find a server that works. it was only a few days ago that they admitted there was a problem with certain servers. and since then i didn't have much time to play except for what i posted. so is that good enough for you, god among dayz forum posters? king of the game and all that it entails. i bow down to your supreme sense of righteousness. you sir, win the internet because you know exactly how everyone plays at all times. wow, just wow.
