I would appreciate if the mods would not move this topic, just because no one looks at the troubleshooting section. :) Anyway, I never have any problems with my DayZ, but a few hours ago after running the game perfectly (except for frameskips lol) I get this error when I start up my game http://i.gyazo.com/3d875c361de202cb534b2a91adfe3dd3.png Then after you I ok I get this http://i.gyazo.com/4deed227dc752280fe6f7b27978f68a4.png I have done everything from uninstalling then reinstalling DayZ, .NET, and C++. Then after checking the DayZ tab there is some new news on 0.55. So should I be worried about this or should I just wait until tomorrow and maybe my game would work? If anyone else has this problem feel free to say what you did and if it worked for you or not.

Will this be fixed when 0.55 is released? almost broke my computer trying to find a solution for this and I really don't want to do this stupid workaround.

As you all know, in 0.55 I believe. The new renderer and the new 'Horde' Zombie Ai will be implemented. VIDEO HERE - I understand that a lot of people on the forums disagree with what I have to say on this but, How will this affect player interaction? I hope the devs realize that the main part about DayZ should be its player interaction, and how in one second you could either be dead, or be a killer. This video for example, would it even have happened if the horde ai was implemented? With hundreds of zombies in the field where they were having that chase? VIDEO - I just feel like they should make the zombies secondary, I wouldn't mind having a lot of slow zombies, or maybe not a lot of fast zombies. But now we will have a bunch of fast zombies ruining player interaction because everyone will be too busy fighting zombies. And if you think DayZ should be about the zombies than the player interaction then I don't know what to tell you. I just hope the devs don't make this affect the realistic player interactions that have made this game so known, you don't see videos on youtube about DayZ zombie telling, you watch the videos about the good vs the bad people, the people who don't care and decide to kill everyone they meet. And how some stand up and take the fight to those bandits. I know this was a ramble, but please don't mess this up Devs... :(

A few of my friends want to get DayZ, but unfortunately it is too much for them, I am not complaining because I bought DayZ for $30 in the winter sale. But when do you think DayZ will come on sale again? I heard that in the summer sale dayz was like 75% off. Thanks

Yea It just shoots the full 60, but I honestly don't care because the whole mag switching is glitched so I don't even bother hitting 'F' when the icon pops up

I have my cfg file messed up and I would like to know how to 'Reset' it. Do I delete it, then run DayZ or Something? HELP

I heard that 0.55 has been implemented into the experimental branches, and I have to ask. Is the new render implemented? I cannot wait until I can actually get upwards of 30 FPS instead of getting 7 FPS in towns like Zeleno and Cherno. :) EDIT: I am fully geared out, but I wanted to see some of the new features in 0.55. If I update my DayZ to 0.55, will I lose all of my stuff or will I still have it when I go back to 0.54. Please Help.

The server that I go on is having an issue, I contacted an admin and he said the server is updating and stuff, I asked him if it was 0.55 and he said maybe. Is anyone having a similar issue?

That never happens to me, It legit sounds like you are being bullied. So find a new server or something. Yeah people can be dicks but what are you to expect when playing an online game that millions have.

Yeah haha I had an MP5 with all the attachments with my group and I saw this guy and I opened fire while he was standing still and I only knocked him out. He later had a friend that shot us lol

That is legit stupid as hell, I would be down for that to be a feature. But they don't get up at all, just fall off. They wouldn't have the necessary brain function. and before you say "OH THIS ISN'T A VIRUS THIS JUST MAKES THEM ANGRY NOT ZOMBIES" If that was the case they would not run and walk around like idiots, they would also punch instead of doing the awful swing instead. Its funny cause I am legit camping on top of the NW Airfield Firestation right now. huehuehehue

Thanks for responding dev, after reading every reply. I can see where you all are coming from. Also dev can you guys please add more sound options. Like V3S Sounds, Bullet Sounds, MOSQUITO AND INSECT Sound Sliders? Just so we can balance things out for ourselves. :)

I think this new change is okay, what really worries me is how many zombies there WILL be. Like I want there to be more, intelligent zombies. But 200 increasing to 2000 is a lot. I just hope they mean it will be spread out serverwide, not like there will be 2000 zombies in elektro. You know?

I dunno why but after 0.54 everyone like lags and starts 'Skating' around the map. Like if I try to snipe someone with a mosin they teleport and It is hard to keep up with them. This also happens with zombies, I also have amazing internet so its isn't that. Anyone else having this issue? :( please fix this.

Hello, I don't know if you guys saw my Discussion about the Insect noises in DayZ. But considering DayZ is in Alpha. I understand, the last post was talking about later when the game is in beta or something. There will be an option to turn certain sounds down. I don't own any other BH Games. (Though I want to get Arma 3 when it goes on sale) So I have a question. In other BH Games like Arma 2,3. How are the sound options? like is it vast and it allows you to customize the sound to your liking. Such as: -Sound Sliders for Certain Sounds like the Insect noises. -On/Off Switches for Certain Sounds. Thanks, I understand I was being a little mean at the last topic, but I just wanted to be able to enjoy DayZ. Cause it really is a fun game that I love. So I would appreciate the help. Thanks :)

I updated to 0.54, and now if I am in a field or something I hear this REALLY ANNOYING SOUND of like a Fly or something. Please have an option in the settings to enable the sound of them or not. I LOVE DayZ, but I also have really sensitive ears. So when I hear the loud buzz of a mosquito or something. I have to take my headset off for a second. Please make this an option, or tell me how to remove this PLEASE. I have had no luck creating topics like this on the Steam forums for this game, I hope people on this can help more. :(

ITS NOT A BIG DEAL, ITS SOMETHING THAT IS ANNOYING. ITS NOT GAME CHANGING ITS AN ANNOYING SOUND THAT IF SOMEONE THAT LIKES THE GAME DOES NOT WANT. THERE SHOULD BE AN OPTION TO TURN THE SOUND OFF. I am not gonna turn the entire fucking game down because of a stupid sound. Literally at the prison island 3 hours ago. I killed 4 people. Because there were no insect sounds at the prison island and I had my game sound so I could hear footsteps. I got like 7 cans of beans

Some of you guys are so inconsiderate, Mosquitos weren't even in the fucking game a week ago. And now you guys are acting like they are your gods? For some mosquitos provide extra immersion. But for others Mosquitos completely take us out of immersion. I can't even play DayZ without bracing my ears for another fucking fly-by. I googled 'disable ambient sounds Arma 2' and there are ways to turn that off. So why is it a big deal, you guys are forgetting this is a game. That everyone should be able to enjoy. Also if I have to, is the code of DayZ similar to Arma 2 code? I want to see if I can use the same code to disable those sounds.

I don't think you guys understand as much as me and the other people with similar ear problems. All I want is an option to turn off the sound they produce. If someone doesn't have sensitive ears and wants to be immersed, THEN DON'T TURN THE SOUND OFF. Like honestly everyone here is taking this as a joke when me and some people with the same problems can't enjoy this game as much. Unless the Mosquitos can suck your blood and give you a disease and Flys can take your beans. It shouldn't be a problem, its not like this is a major thing in the game. So would you guys be cool if the devs added an option to turn sounds like this off?

Im not asking them to take it out of the game, that is the devs decision. I just either want them to show us how to disable it via the code or something. Or to have an option like other games do. The point that I keep bringing up on a lot of topics is DayZ shouldn't be something that gets boring because it is too realistic. If this game is so realistic that I can't have an option to turn off something that makes me not want to play a game that I love. Then I don't know what to do.
