I never tried but seeing that you could apply tape to it in the first place tells my that it should work. When using tape, sewing kit/leather kit you more often than not need to apply it several times before the item is getting fixed. You can never get it back to pristine but should be able to get it to worn

Oh god yes, i am so tired of getting that red text while having my stuff on the ground or standing in front of some rare item that you now can't pick up and god forbid that you happen to be inside a building a couple floors up "always afraid to glitch thru the floor and die upon impact when i start again" or even worse V3S

Yea im really careful everytime i'm gonna take a pic, i would hate myself if i suicided my kitted character

Hi peeps, i would love a drum mag or two for the AKM i have. I have tons of 5.56 ammo "P", sword "P" and random stuff. Edit: the trade have been done so the sword is now gone.

After reading thru these forums for the past week one thing keeps coming back and that is musty. Might start with a new character on that server just to see what all the fuss is about, what i'm hoping for is more player interaction and not just KOS which seems to rule most of the public servers i've been on

This dayZ was cool, saw four V3s 3 of which i drove the last one was crashed over a tiny fence... Also found two heli crash sites, not often i've seen this much vehicle activity on one server

Well well, shit happens. Is there any stable, like really stable servers "public" pers on that you can be sure wont disappear? Cant see a reason to pitch a base otherwise

Also find a info page about the server: http://dayz-servers.org/server/2872/ Looking thru this thread i see that i come across a bit desperate which isn't the case but it sucked a bit seeing that we are three players playing/looting together and that tent was filled of the best stuff we found together over the combined 150 hours playing

Yea we have the ping set to zero, shouldn't there be a way to search for IP numbers if they now changed the name of it?

well yesterday could have been a tad better, had the game glitch away my server list "favorites" so i actually don't know where i pitched my mil tent stuffed with equip <_< Then later on after going thru the NWAF and looted a Ammo box "p" "finally" and two "p" round mags for the AKM i then ran to Grishino to check the police station and then my game crashed.... in middle of zombie infested Greshino.. As expected next time i started up i was standing on the coast "Cherno" and seeing that i have my tent in the northern parts "if i ever find the server" i will have somewhat of a run to do. As a sidenote i had the game crash on me three times yesterday and before this patch i never crashed once, is the game less stable now?

A couple things, my long range scope disappeared in this patch from the mossin i had on my back also public servers DayZ ES 2-3 and 2-5 have some sound glitch.. I was going to throw up my tent on one of these servers but when looking for a good spot i constantly heard footsteps behind me and random sound of doors opening and the inventory sound "when combining ammo". Had two friends to join me on those servers and all got the same problem. We later went on to another suitable server to pitch the mil tent made a fireplace and made a couple garden spots. We all saved the server as favourite to be able to find it easily later on and now it doesn't appear for any of us in the fav section and that is a big issue because we filled it with mil grade equipment this night..

Vest, jacket, both bags and a bow. Tried a suppressor today but apparently thats for 0.54. The most useful of the items were the vest

I use the leather one, its 10 slots and the high cap is 12 isn't it, did both backpacks but cant really see a reason of making the leather one seeing that it has the same amount of slots but is a lot brighter and therefore easier too spot. Made a leather jacket as well but that one couldn't handle rain at all and my character got wet instantly when it started to rain... The west is awesome tho, wish you could use spray cans on them tho, its a bit bright. Did do a fire yesterday and cooked a lot of meat, where/how do you find the rocks to make a proper fireplace? Is it true that i actually have to use a pickaxe or is there another way? not that keen of carrying one around

So ive been staying away from NW airfield like the plague but tonight one of the guys i play with wanted to go there so we went. We approached the airfield from the south doing a loop from devils castle and when we entered the airfield it was a heli crash in the middle of the runway, two of us stayed in bushes and covered most of the area with mosins while the third guy ran out with an empty inventory to collect the goodies. After he came back we watched the area for a couple extra minutes for movements but seeing that he could run out and back without taking any fire we then went in and started looting from building to building. Got myself a AK74 "p" fully kitted and and a SPOSN backpack + tons of ammo. Seeing that i already had the mosin on my back i decided to take the AK in the hands and run to a safe place when i stopped in a bush for a drink... Ofc i then dropped the rifle which seemed to have glitched away > :( I wasn't going to keep it anyway but had plans to trade it for a tent/military tent. Im pretty sure that the compass north is pointing towards east, at least in 0.53 stable. So that western edge could be the northern edge. Also i read that the clouds always blow towards the east

so, had 24 hours played rl with my character and killed countless of zombies and sadly 1 player twice seeing that he attacked my crew twice. I am one of those ppl that rather help instead of killing another player but if they attack what can you do.. Currently searching for a tent to set up base but haven't find one yet, I have tons of 00bucks and .22 ammo so if anyone needs that my ingame nick is christoffer. I would easily trade some weapons or gear for a tent if anyone is interested? Edit: oh crap! thought this was the thread "how was your dayz", *sigh* oh well

well don't quote me on this but as far as i gathered it seems that if you go back to the same kinda server your old character loads as you left him so my guess is that you played on a hardcore or privat server then went back to public were you left your old character. I took for granted as well that this was some bug but it seems like i didn't understand how things work yet.. Been playing on 5 different servers today and i managed to log into my "first" character every time as long as i choose a server that had the same properties.

I hear you guys but it feels a bit wrong to get killed just to be at another spawn point "the cards have been given so to say", i bet my current "first" character have run 3 marathons so far. I've been in the southwest corner and are currently on the northeast. Sure its a long run from time to time but i don't mind really, rather that then begging to get killed. It kinda ruins the illusion for me that i'm trying to survive even if its only in a game.

So i kept me first guy alive for 15 hours real time game time now and so far i had 3 player interactions, the first guy stumbled upon me when i was looking thru a barn and he instantly yelled friendly and before i could respond he ran full speed out of there over the field :| . Today i met 2 more peeps one up north by rify, looked like a fresh spawn and he told me to kill him so he could respawn in another area? I kindly refused seeing that there were 3 zombies closing onto him anyway so i guess he got what he wanted and i also got a distraction for the zombies. Then i finally met up with two friends in Novodmitrovsk and there we found player nr three that yet again told me to shoot him "wtf" then he started punching my friend so we took him out, 2 min later the same guy came and started the same routine yet again and we took him out "yet again" then ran from the city and logged off. Now to the question, why have two outta three players asked me to kill them so far? I saw in the history after we logged off that we were on a "friendly" server so ive been thinking that maybe they are just trolls trying to bait for a ban? I have no idea what they were up to otherwise

Thx mate, im pretty sure i wouldn't click on a private "because private sounds like it would be private" server but i can't be certain if i did or not. Either Way it was great info that those spawns a new character, gona start to write down which servers i'm playing on then. I thought that it automatically saved the one you were last on but this is not the case then? Also i saw a yt video that explained that the server type dayZ was night servers and dayz server are daytime is this how it works or was the guy wearing too much tinfoil? Cred that the mods are actually actively involved in these forums :) I'm a member of many game forums and most of them have mods that dont post but only lock threads.
