Hello Dayz Dev Team, first of all - a big Thank You for all you are doing! I live in Prague and when I see you sometimes rolling updates at 23:00, I only have respect for the great work you are doing for all of us here. I started out with the mod and as standalone was coming out I was sure to buy it, just to say thanks for what a great idea and game mod was. I have around 200 hrs in standalone and I like it, especially how much work is put into it, I´m sure 2015 will be amazing. I have a couple of questions about the game, centred aroundthe areas that are not discussed as much as others, hope you could find some time to give us at least some answers to those you can answer. a) I would like to ask about the net code. Right now the CQC is really like throwing dice. Who gets bigger number wins. On many occasions I have pumped 6-7 rounds from a shotgun into somebody just to be killed by an axe or so and the other way aound. Are there any plans to fix the overall structure of the net code so that this doesnt happen? Especially when more zombies are added, they will become more of a strain on the server and it could even go worse. This also affects medium and long range combat in many ways. b) The clothes. What I have noticed is that clothes and items in them provide great protection from bullets. Eg. I got shot two times from repeater or Mosin (another time) at like 5 meter range , results : Ruined jacket and the items inside, the same for pants. No bleeding, 0 damage done to me. This doesnt happen all the time but alot of times clothes act like superstrong body armor. This makes weapons like shotgun, blaze, mosin etc. much less usefull, because you first have to destroy the clothing and items inside them before you can finally shoot the guy. Its "ok with AK" (patent pending) cause it fires 10 rounds per second, but with mosin or blaze every bullet matters, especially with the desync and net code. I dont know why, but If I snipe somebody from a range, they usually die in one body shot but at close range 2-3 are needed. Is this intentional or just a bug /placeholder? c) The running. Are there any plans on introducing stamina or slowing character movements - sidesteps etc. ? Right now trying to shoot moving target with single shot rifles at any range is almost impossible. All the movements are superfast. You can basically zig zag and almost nothing can hit you at 200 - 300 meters. Thank you very much for your answers
