Well i've sent John a message on Skype yesterday and still no reply... Good luck with that. Lee is on TS but with his sound muted again no help and yesterday i waited on TS for hours with Lee in the 1 on 1 chan and Ian in the SALES chan but no help from there either. I sent support 3 message and today not had one reply. Vilayer is cheap but the support is lacking perhaps you have been lucky enough to have a server with no issues, thus you only have praise for them. I got a reply from Lee their CEO?? Saying "The issue with your server restarting i highly doubt to be a service related issue from us. As of late the HIVE as been under almost constant DDOS attack, if your server desyncs from the hive your server will restart. I will keep an eye on your server, if it restarts again please contact us." What should I do to it fix, well I can't do anything and hence why we paid for a Managed Hosting Service with 24/7 *YEAH RIGHT... Simply not a good enough,

I would like to know is anyone else experiencing this. Server Restarting randomly. I did a server STOP and RESTART hoping this would resolve it, but no it didn't. Then I managed to speak with Johnny on Skype yesterday and he did a server repair however, the issue persists? The first month we had the server it worked fine now it's been doing this for the Past 3 or so days. Restarting between 40mins - 130mins Truthfully I am get fed up with it as ppl are moaning about this on our forms and this is not what we are paying for.

DAY 4 of not getting our server Sorted. Now not even visible on ACP menu Status:Unknown Had 1 reply from Lee Yesterday pretty much asking me to tell him when it happens again.....

Zarmaka, I posted it here to see whether I was the only one experiencing this or perhaps it was a DAYZ issue not a Vilayer issue. And as it happens I did open a Ticket yesterday and another today, still unanswered. Well, now I know that it's not just our server having this as Jonesy is also in the same boat.

Try going somewhere, where you can use a way point to set distance to a tartget then begin to set the range using the notches on the sight that's how i did it and im ok at ranges from 400 -700m's now.

I notice very same glitch first about 6 days ago All gear dissapeared from the following vehicels after they were saved. Some within less then 7 hours after being placed in them. UAZ, Off road Toyota, Off road Military Landrover, ATV, Motorcycles. However all items placed in the URAL and tents were still there?

Not sure what is going on Johnny yesterday said he did a server repair and things seemed ok for a bit then again but later it just restarted with no ACP doing it. And today, been restart by it's self again? First I noticed it at 12:21 and it's restarted 4 times since then. I just (14:29) Stopped the server after a clan member said it restarted again. Waited 2 mins then clicked Start once, (i never click more than once I just wait for the Loading icon to dissapear) then went to the lobby and w8'ed for the Timeout to count down. Told my mate it's all back again. Within 1 min of being back in YELLOW SOLID chain appeared. And it's down again re-Creating. Seriously? Like someone else said it's Sunday Prime Gaming time and we can't ppl on our server. I've even change the MTOD lines to Say it's not us restarting but a VILAYER issue causing the restarts...

I've lost Gear in a ATV, Off pickup Toyota, Off Road Landrover, UAZ and Motorcycles. I 'ave save them and within 8 hours they dissapear sometimes less? However with the Ural all items placed remained in there for 2 days without saving??? This does need some attention not sure if it's been brought up before this Thread.

OFF Map starts when vegetation stops ie grass and trees There should be a warning in place popping up advising you "Warning you are leaving the battle zone, Items will not be saved beyond this point" Similar to many other games, giving you the heads up when you're out of bounds. And I agree that all off map Items should be deleted as it's not really in the battle zone. As for the players being off map, I've seen Vipeax post a reply regarding players spawning in dessert (approx 28K from Chernarus, I've been there) will be move to in patches to come with their gear untouched. Coz he checked this with another Dev member. The Map is big enough no need to go off map coz that just means you're GREADY...

Sandbags, Wirekits, Tank Traps 1.Remove it and it will re-appear upon server restart. Could we have it dissapear instead after X amount of time or permanently deleted of hive after removal using the toolbox? 2.Lower spawn rate on these items too Lastly these kits do need more hit boxes to remove them especially wirekits as they are just becoming a nuisance. To all the DEV team working hard to get the MoD back up and running. I just want to thank for you efforts and keep up the good work which is greatly appreciated. Credit where it's due as this was an unforeseen incident, yet they utilized it to do some Server Maintenance and they overcame obstacles with fighting spirit. Well done lads

Would it be possible for Dev team to create a Status Thread where only the dev have the ability to post updates and News as It's very time consumming going through posts to find out what's happing?

Want to know is there a reason my server is now showing "Status : Unknown" Not giving me an option to Restart or Stop it? Is this a precautionary offline measure?

On Top of the DDos attack we've got 100's perhaps more ppl trying to get their servers started again on top of 1000's of players server hopping trying to join servers desperate play. I am wondering whether it would be of any help for all servers to be disconnected from hive and perhaps a Request from the Dev Team asking for this to be done until matters are resolved... Really clutching at straws here tbh but I can't think those who have been eager to get back in flooding hive with requests is doing much good.

Just a quick note, He would not have had to be scoped in as there was Crosshairs on the Server, he could have just shot from the hip

I agree with the earlier post of not using 3rd person as i've been in similar situations hence why I don't use 3rd person view in general makes you sloppy and perhaps you can see the enemy better in most cases but in Fire Fights you'll fail as seen... So first mistake was engaging in 3rd person view once he knew where the enemy was, he could have swapped view as he had enough time. Second mistake was swapping out his AS50 for the pistol... on a server Crosshairs with on... Closing first door in the process exposing himself. I think he did hit him with his first shot perhaps lower body and broke his leg, the SD pistol as you later call the Mp5SD a peashooter, does even less damage coz some Zombies takes 4 or more clear chest shots to drop a basic zombie. He missed he 2nd shot clearly overcome by the moment, we've all done that im sure. I've had 2 of those AS50's and I don't miss like that as i did do some ranged target practise with friends. Lastly I can't justify calling that guy in the Camo a hacker of any sort as I think he could have been very lucky and was perhaps on the last 100's of bloody left as your shots through the window did some damage but he manage to drop out of your sight pretty fast which was unlucky for you. Nevertheless that was a pleasure to watch and I can't wait for Dayz to come back online for me to get involved in scenario's like that as that is was the game is all about.

What is would after having that verifying game files issue messed up.. Is trying re patching the dayz Mod files and then the beta patch... and perhaps a reinstall.... However since all servers are up in the Air and we're just Guessing I really do not know... What else to suggest... Have we had Admin on the forums posting any details of how long servers will be down... and what is being done to resolve this?? Anyone know ????

Well I agree with the wtf no more replies other than this. As almost all servers are slow and you get stuck on "Waiting for Chara" and not only that i've been trying to get on the forums for hours infact all day, to see what is happening..I figured the whole community trying to access the forums would have that effect. I even rolled back the last beta patch thinking that had something to do with the waiting for character to create issue that started around 8 hours ago, but still it's persists.... I find it very strange that there's no mention or acknowledgement of the issues we're experiencing??? People just seem to use it as a chat lobby via Global chat... I trust someone will shed some light on this ASAP. Just noticed the DDos attack... Hopefully this will get resolved asap then...
