    DayZ Update 1.5.7

Just had my first crossing with zombies on the new build. I walked passed many places, deciding that the head count was more than I wanted to deal with. Then I came across a barn with about 6 shufflers. I took my chances and managed to drop them all without much issue. I then went straight into the barn, looted it and left. 2 minutes tops. As I was walking away from the barn, I looked back and saw all the zombies respawn. I believe there's a range setting on spawning now to stop them from appearing on top of you, but boy they didn't mess about making their return. I'd have thought the place would have stayed clear for at least 15 minutes.

    Official disconnect thread

Would be nice to have an MMO style exit, where when a player elects to D/C the game starts a timer of 20 seconds or so. This means that they can't just drop the connection, it also means that should they be attacked during this 20 seconds, they can cancel the exit and deal with the situation. Another idea is to keep a character spawned on the server for 20 seconds after someone D/Cs, meaning that they can't run mid-fight. The first idea could probably be bipassed by killing the game process, but perhaps if it were combined with the second idea, then there'd be no escaping. As for MR DELICIOUS' problem, I'd say that's just a genuine bug that needs fixing.
  3. I was on US1 Hardcore yesterday, over a good few hours of play I saw the reported zombie count drop from 300+ down to 60. However when entering one of the inland northern cities I got myself into a scrap with 26 zombies, most in a single attack plus a few more in the minute before and after. I somehow survived it all, but the important thing was that the zombie count didn't noticeably change. The server was full at the time lots of people reporting being round to coast. I refuse to believe that nearly 50% of the spawned zombie count was around me alone.

    Spawn in, can't move

Yea, I've had that problem on a few servers now. Dallas included. You can elect to respawn, that allows you to move around, but you're invisible. All those diamond shapes you see when looking at the trees are other players trying to spawn. I don't know if it's the case that once, that happens, you won't ever spawn. I've been sat for just over 30 minutes now and it doesn't seem to be progressing.
