So I got my cousin to join my friends private shard server and I was able to convince him to help me so he got new gorka gear (shirt and pants), a fireplace kit, logs and matches to lit it, new military boots, and a heat pack. When my cousin finally got to the building my character was in zelengorsk and i signed in he had started the fire next to where i logged out and dropped the new gorka gear with the boots and heat pack in the pants next to where my character logged in. So i put on new gorka gear which none of it was wet (and it wasn't raining and we were in a building). I used the heatpack and stood next to the fire still hypothermic and it was spamming it at this point. So i stood on the fire and it said my face was melting and that I was burning yet I still died from hypothermia. I literally got full dry gear and everything possible to warm my character up and none of it worked. I was able to get my gear since my cousin picked up the better parts of my gear and dragged the rest off my body. But still it seems stupid that i died despite having literally everything possible to heat my character up

My Friend hosts this private shard server I play on is there anyway he can set the weather/change the season does anyone know because he said himself that he can only change the time of day and restart the server. However I've seen a few public servers that say they have it set to warm weather and average about 10 players on at a time from what i've seen so are they lying or is there a way to set the temperature?

I know for sure that private server owners can't. My friend owns a private server and he can only restart/take down and change the time of day. Like I said in my post I thought I had a gorka shirt and it was about a month or two since I last played and it was with a group of friends on the private server but they have moved on since then to novo so they are across the map from me in the private server. Each of us had a thing we carried I was carrying most of the drinks minus a canteen for each of us if we got seperated or needed to drink while we were looting, and I have all of that but the stone knife because it wasnt in at the time when I last sinced out and matches I was suprised I didnt have because I usually have some.

So I was playing on my friends private hive server and I joined it earlier today. When I first joined it said I was alittle chilly which I thought was strange because when I logged out last I was wearing gorka pants and shirt. However when I joined today I was missing my gorka shirt. So I thought perhaps I remembered wrong and I put it in my bag yet when I checked my inventory it was gone. At this point (about 2 mins not raining wasn't damp before) it says i'm damp and cold. So I grab a wool coat that I found inside a building in Zelenogorsk and I took off my gorka pants and tried to put them in my bag which I couldn't despite having enough slots. So I temporarily dropped them on the ground and put on some Cargo pants I also found in another building. Despite running around and putting on new clothes that couldn't possibly be damp yet, I became freezing. So I figure it was time to stop half assing this (because before it seem rather easy to regulate temperature and to stay out of the danger zones, unless I was hyperthermic and had nothing to drink and wasnt near a water source, Ie lake, ocean, river) and I tried to find matches and couldn't after searching five houses well running around to try and somewhat raise my temperature I became hypothermic(five mins). I searched five more houses and despite other loot I couldn't find matches and I have/had the campfire ready to be dropped and lit. However after those last five houses my screen started to gray and I wasn't going to die with a fully custom m4 ,from temperature, even if it was on a private hive. So basically that was my adventure today and my question is has the season been set to winter? Or the month to december? Because I read around and a few posts said it has been. If it has been set to winter/december when will it be set to summer/spring again? Because I won't be playing till it is or I'll just die and lose all my gear from a crap death to being to cold. (more like I can't without dying from hypothermia)
