Debug monitor will be gone in 1.7.3 !

I reckon the less info the better. Should get rid of the kill confirms while they're at it. Less distracting info the better. -
personally i'm a fan of the good ol' alt-f4 combo. some twat starts trying to "light me up" for absolutely no reason (i don't even have an axe, etc), i'll alt-f4 just to piss them off. if i was armed, had some good gear, had knowingly put myself in a hot spot, i don't do it, i know the risks - they're what the game's all about. but to kill someone just for the sake of killing them... ALT F4! cry me a river.

mistrust has spread through dayz like cancer. sadly dayz is probably an admittedly extreme but vaguely accurate depiction of what would happen irl... good old humanity - we know what side our bread's buttered.

Welcome to the dayz forums... Besides there's absolutely no reason why it couldn't be done - the ouya supports onlive.

Good information about ARMA II and Harddrives
twotoes replied to The_Man's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
what he said. i wouldn't use arma 2 as any kind of benchmark - the engine really is a bit farked. also, i run two 7200rpm (i think) HDD in raid 0 and never get any jutters, so i'm thinking past a certain point SSD and Ramdisks aren't gonna make a difference, but then i am using a raid array... something else, make sure you've installed native controller drivers. my mobo uses an intel controller and installing the RTS drivers and software makes a huge difference - for example: write back cache is disabled by default in MS's built-in generic drivers. -
not too sure why it has to be one or the other tbh.

So I think I'm about the point of throwing in the towel 3x combat log story.

So noob wanders over to a tent, get shot, dc's. You actually care about pointless killing so much you start stalking him, and make a second kill attempt. He dc's again and clearly got wise quick, and proceeded to give you a taste of your own medicine. So he's now running around with your gear. LOL. That's quite funny. -
installed this and now i can select dayz in expansions as it's nowhere to be seen...
-
He had... a fridge... ? ...
-
LOL. Um...? Who squatted and pinched one off in your water bottle?
-
LOL. Jesus Christ... Don't give up the day job dude.

weird - new profile resulted in massive fps boost
twotoes posted a topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
as the subject says - i created a new profile to match my mumble and tspeak name, suddenly DZ started performing better...? at first i though it was probably just the server, but i've noticed improved performance across many servers and in single player as well. bizarre. -
Which is better; installing DayZ manually, or using the Six Updater?
twotoes replied to Simu's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
just to be different, i'd say Six for install but not to launch a game. use the in game browser with filters to launch. just put dayz in the mission field and you're good to go - no waiting for the game to load. -
are you forcing anything through the NVCP in either the global or game specific profiles?
