    BattlEye Failing to Initialize

Good deal. I'm definitely gonna do a bit more reading and playing around until I get the hang of things. I've just always loved this genre and finally made the move to build my first gaming PC so I can actually play the good ones. Anyway, I really appreciate all of the help buddy. You really helped me turn this nightmare around. :P

    BattlEye Failing to Initialize

Well, I finally got a game to boot up. I ran through and verified all of them through Steam as you said. Then I opened and played a game through Steam as well as the Launcher. Both routes allowed me to join a server. I just played on two different Vanilla servers until the mods are done downloading. The loading screen to join into a game takes about 5 minutes now, which was discouraging at first but I feel better that it actually works. Now i'm just getting my ass kicked by zombies. I feel like I just run and run and can never evade them. I thought you could at least punch them, but apparently you can't. I finally found a hatchet to defend myself with, but while being pummeled by about five zombies trying to pick the hatchet up, my character just decided to stand there and continuously throw flare after flare after flare instead of picking the hatchet up. Then I died. So I figured out how to close doors finally. I ran inside a house to bandage myself since I was without a weapon. I shut the door, then the zombies all glitched through it. Then I died. My last spawn I ran and ran until I stumbled upon a shotgun. I could finally defend myself. I shot one zombie and then came a horde because of the gunshot I assume. I ran inside a building to bandage myself and shut the door. Started to bandage, then they all glitched through the door into the room. I died. Is this something that happens on all servers? Or are there servers where they can't glitch through doors? I understand YouTube videos typically just highlight the good portions of gameplay, but I haven't heard much on zombie door glitching except for H1Z1 recently.

    BattlEye Failing to Initialize

This was my exact sequence: 1. Purchased Arma II: The Complete Collection via Steam (I wanted to have the most up to date textures as well as play with mods) 2. Went to bed last night with Arma II downloaded and the rest qued so they would finish overnight. 3. Once all downloads were complete, I launched Arma II until I was at the main menu of the game. Exited to home screen. 4. Did the same in this order following: - Arma II: Operation Arrowhead - Arma II: Operation Arrowhead Beta - Arma II: British Armed Forces - Arma II: Private Military Company 5. Then I ran the DayZ Mod. I initiall tried to get into a couple Epoch servers since they had more players. This is when I was first prompted with the BE failure. After some digging i've just been trying to join two different US Vanilla servers. I am currently downloading all 30 of the listed mods on the Launcher, which looks like it will probably take the rest of the night to complete, there are a lot of them. And this may be a silly question, but how do I verify a game through Steam? I made the original purchase and downloaded them through Steam to begin with, if that matters. Verify Arma II: OA just finished on the launcher and said it wasn't able to validate 4 files, they will be reinstalled. I am now verifying Arma II through the launcher. I assume I will need to relaunch the games to initiate the "These 4 files will be reinstalled."? I really appreciate your help here by the way.

    BattlEye Failing to Initialize

Spamming didn't work. I tried to join server a good dozen times to no avail. Still receive the same message about BattlEye. Are there more mods than the 30 or so under the "mods" tab on the launcher? I just started to download all of them so it'll probably take a bit. I've just been trying to join a US Vanilla server. Also went into settings on launcher and clicked "Verify Arma 2 OA" and it has been sitting at 0% for about 5 minutes now. Will update if the status changes.

    BattlEye Failing to Initialize

Just downloaded the Launcher. Game started up, it said connecting to host. Then I received the same "BattlEye failing to initialize" error.
  6. .... is the error code I get trying to join any server. I recently purchased the complete ARMA bundle from the Steam store last night for $40. I spent about 10 hours allowing each game to download. I opened Arma II, then Arma II: Operation Arrowhead, then the remainder of the games and then opened the DayZ mod last. The instructions seemed rather unclear. BattlEye installed twice throughout this entire process. I kept getting a notification from Steam of a product key that would need to be entered. I was never actually prompted to enter a product key through launching any of these games. And still have not as I have launched every one of them numerous times. I've spent the better part of the last two hours trying every solution I could find online. I don't know if I have properly installed everything. I do not know if there was a sequence as to how I need to operate and run everything. I'm just totally confused to be honest. So far, I've downloaded DayZ Commander, and I get a "server timed out" message when I try to update anything. I've uninstalled BattlEye then tried to reinstall a handful of times. I went into the BattlEye folder in both Arma II and Arma II: Operation Arrowhead and tried to change the privacy settings to allow full control. I may not have been changing permissions correctly? I don't know. I just built my first PC last week and have spent the past few days watching hours of gameplay and reading tons and tons of reviews to decide between H1Z1, Day Z Standalone, Miscreated, and this Day Z Mod. I chose the mod and this process has been nothing but a headache. Any help is appreciated. If you need any additional information, just ask.
