If you would ever deem in necessary to have a Ghillie / fellow friendly player on your side, then I would gladly agree to playing together. I asked you in your official thread if you could share any knowledge regarding helicopter crash sights and how to effectively find them, as I am yet to find more than 3. I am unaware to if you replied. as I haven't been on for a while. Could you, if it please you, share said knowledge?

I've died over 50 times to betrayal and banditry, yet I am yet to feel the yearn to KoS. Why is this? It's because when I do something bad, I feel bad. I suppose I still posses morality, even in a video game based around darkness, uncertainty and manipulation. If I was to KoS, I am no better than the scum that exist to ruin people's fun. I do not want to be such a pathetic form of personality. I often find persisting through the sadness has helped me in many ways, not only in DayZ. I now find many friendly faces, because I have learned who is true and who is evil, and I dispose and assist accordingly. In the end, experience will see you through.

It didn't work at first, as the dropdown menu wouldn't respond. It took a restart of Steam, and a following of the steps you provided, and all was fixed. Thank you for this.

I have too much at risk to get mauled by Zombies for the low chance of solving a glitch. I've heard of many people doing many things to fix it specifcally, people have been cured of it from all sorts of strange behaviours, but they only seem to apply to the individual. One person may go swimming, and it was solved for him, but another victim of the glitch went skinny dipping too, yet to no avail. One person said he was cured when he fired a full mag of Mosin shots, I did the same, no progress... Strange little glitch, this one.

Half an hour's worth of non-stop travel, to put it into perspective... NW airfield to Novo / top right of the map (the fishing boat village). It would appear the best bet is to set up camp and hopefully not get shot from the fire's smoke "signal"?

So, with the announcement of the capability to report hackers, an updated security system in general, and 0.53 coming out soon, how's everyone feeling about DayZ at the moment? Personally I've always stuck by it, and recent news is certainly satisfying to hear. I can't help but feel that most of the complaining, cristisism and anger directed at the game is mostly speaking out of hurt, annoyance, and general over-exaggeration and immaturity. Of course, this game is hardly perfect, and constructive critisism goes a long way, but am I the only one that feels more faith than ever in this game? It is as if sensibility, patience and support was applied in the overall communicative mentality, this entire process would be a lot more positive. Thoughts?

It appears there is a glitch, currently, involving cold temperatures. I haven't been hot my entire character lifetime all down to the fact that I got cold ONCE and never stopped shaking since. I cannot aim down my sights without uncontrollable, rapid shaking. My entire body won't stop. I've heard of the issue before, people have even sat in fires to attempt to warm up, but even in my Ghillie, running around a lot, I am yet to find myself getting hot. Maybe it's because I find myself drinking from ponds often?

To generalise the way you do would be unwise. I've recently come into contact with 3 friendly people in a row, it is totally down to luck, who you come across and where. Being in the right place at the right time. There is no way to establish a certainty of behaviour in this game, you simply never know who you'll come across and what they truly intend.

I'm personally searching for knowledge of Helicopter crash sights. I have only ever seen 3 in my entire DayZ "career" yet I hear of so many people who own M4's and AUG's like there's some form of trick or batch of knowledge I'm missing. If you could provide me with the knowledge to where I can find helo crash sights, I'd gladly repay you with the little food I have from my tactical bush suit. I am currently in Novo. P.S If you could find a green or black Bally bally, I'd be very greatful, or again, the knowledge of where to find them.

Is persistence reliable enough to have that happen? I've never utilised persistence before. I often hear of "hive wipes" which I assume is the name given to the action of deleting everyone's DayZ character, forcing everyone to start again. Is this happening soon? If this is the case, I want to find someone to give my suit to, or go out in a firefight.

Well, I never expected such as successful chat. Thanks everyone, I very much enjoyed reading all of the things you had to say. Hopefully we can do this again soon :) I understand you may think of me stereotypically as a killer because I like the idea of concealment, but ultimately, you'll never know if you never try. Always try to speak. A lot of the time people are only scared, and if you can reduce that fear, you're more likely to get away with a great interaction, other than a bloodbath and anger.

I suppose you fire over fear of death? Well, for the record, I am always friendly, unless I'm alone... then I am simply a bush.
