    Firstly, babies would die straight away in such a hostile environment with no coherent society, which renders having them completely useless and stupid in the first place... we'd have to have a full-blown society-building feature for something like this to even begin to work Secondly, the timeframe of gameplay in this mod is too short for a mechanic like this to work Thirdly, you go on about 'realism' yet the only incentives to engage in this gameplay mechanic is stuff like health and loot boosts, which is forced and unrealistic Fourthly, a mechanic like this would add nothing to the existing gameplay and would be detrimental to immersion for reasons mentioned above

    Maybe I could see just sex working to an extent, I mean it's in GTA (although it's only there mainly for novelty reasons) But if you think full-blown reproduction is a good idea for this game I suggest you go outside and socialise with real people for a bit

    You're missing the point anyway, even if it was realistic it would be IMPOSSIBLE to fit this mechanic into a game that covers such a short timespan

    Flatulence

    Since every other guy in this forum is making suggestions regarding bodily functions, I thought it was only fair if posted this. So here's the deal Rocket, add a flatulence feature to the gameplay. You have a 'gas meter' which increases whenever you eat, especially beans. The higher your level of gas the more likely you are to randomly rip one out. Farting creates an audible sound which can alert nearby players and zombies to your presence. Now you're probably thinking that isn't too bad and you can still go ahead and eat as many beans as you like. However, if you let your gas level get too high you may follow through when you fart. Following through makes your character stink for about an hour, and even if zombies cannot see or hear you they will rush towards the smell to investigate. So next time you're hungry and you fancy a tin of beans, you would have to think twice. Constructive criticism is welcome.

    I don't see the point of this whole reproduction thing, I mean why would people want to have babies? The incentives you mentioned are unrealistic, and the whole thing would feel really forced and unnecessary imo

    I suspect you're trolling, but if not may I say that people probably wouldn't want to bring children into a world of murderous bandits and scarce resources. People who think they can just spew out babies in an apocalyptic situation with no consequences for them or the baby don't deserve to be parents imho

    Even if the timeframe of the gameplay isn't taken into account, it still seems illogical that people would deliberately want to have babies in a situation like that presented in the game

    I haven't had sex for months and i'm fine... Why can't you just masturbate instead? Maybe porn mags could be added as an item, and help you lower anxiety quicker than just masturbating alone

    I'm just saying that in an apocalypse situation where nearly everyone in the world has died (we don't even know the background to the infection yet, Chenarus could just be a quarantine zone) my first few months would be focused on nothing but surviving, and characters in the game only last up to the maximum of a week or so. And the timeframe involved in actually having babies is longer still. People would probably be trying to reconstruct some sort of society before bringing more people into the world. How'd a baby have a chance of surviving in a land filled with murderous bandits and scarce resources? They'd be nothing but a burden in the short-term. The timeframe involved in this game is just too short for this sort of stuff

    I don't think this game will ever get to a point in development where adding reproduction as a gameplay mechanic is a priority. We'll probably have a flatulence feature before that where eating too many beans causes you to randomly fart and alert zombies

  22. Ideally for me the zombie behaviour should be like this: -Zombies should not be able to spawn within about 200 hundred meters of players. This would make it possible to clear out towns and parts of cities and hold them as a sort of base and safe zone for fellow survivors. -Zombies should also spawn in longer intervals, say every 20 mins. A player could come across a town empty of zombies which would notify them of the risk that there could be other players nearby -Zombies should run in roughly straight lines towards you, not zig-zag all over the place like Usain Bolt after one to many espressos and a few snorts of cocaine (or at least slow down slightly when they get into zig-zagging distance of you) To make up for these changes which you could argue make zombies less dangerous I reckon zombies should be made much more unpredictable as a threat -There should be roaming hordes of zombies, say 10-30 of them in size, that travel randomly across the map. This would make zombies a threat out in the wilderness as well as in the predetermined spawn areas -Some zombies should be stealthy. Zombies that are quiet and stick to corners, alleys, doorways, ect. that a player could run into without seeing or hearing them first -Also zombies that can play dead. Some should spawn as what appear to be corpses, but jump up and attack any player that comes close. Zombies should have a chance of appearing to die when they get to a low amount of health, but like above, jump up when a player comes near. This would make players much more cautious of corpses, worrying if they're dead or not -Zombies should be more lethal when they actually reach you. Maybe they could have attacks that knock you down onto the floor, and it takes a short amount of time to get back up

    I don't think prostitutes would still be plying their trade after a killer virus has wiped out most of the population and people are desperately fighting over tins of beans

    bump. Go play ArmA if you want to use these fancy guns, chances are they've already been modded in. Why hunt for a gun you will probably never fire or be a [redacted] and DC once you get shot at?
