It's a CONSPIRACY

I'm just hopeful that a new update or beta will somehow magically sort this out Btw, has anyone tried directly contacting Rocket about this?
-
Caffeine doesn't increase stamina, it just makes you more alert and awake. In fact too much of the stuff would just make you even shakier

I started getting stuck on loading on every server since I downloaded beta 95417
-
Yeah, so basically since the latest beta I get stuck on the loading screen on every server I try to join. I want to play goddamit :( Anyone know what might be the problem here?
-
Yeah the newest beta In the OP I meant "since the latest beta" not "update"
-
Most people apart from me are playing fine though so I don't see how it's anything to do with an update

Zombie Spawning - Increase range to 1000-1800m (max view distance)
RobbL (DayZ) replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I believe Rocket made an update a few of weeks ago which would allow much more zombies, but seeing as he hasn't made use of it yet i'm sure this suggestion is totally possible -
Zombie Spawning - Increase range to 1000-1800m (max view distance)
RobbL (DayZ) replied to [email protected]'s topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
As well as the maximum distance, I reckon the minimum distance zombies spawn away from players should be increased. No more clearing out a town to find all the zombies have appeared again while you're still in it -
Removal of Sniper Rifles and Silenced guns.
RobbL (DayZ) replied to necroslord's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Oh yeah, because we all know you can pick up a nuclear warhead from your local supermarket. Seriously though, flamethrowers and maybe tanks would be believable as long as they were really rare, seeing as they're specialist military equipment. Whereas it's likely that sniper rifles are owned by many farmers and hunters, especially in a place like chenarus -
Heavily randomised amount and distribution of zombies in towns and cities
RobbL (DayZ) posted a topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
Sorry about the stupidly snappy title :P I was thinking that the perceptive zombies we have at the moment wouldn't be so much of a problem if the amount and distribution of them in towns and cities was heavily randomised. That way you could have a load of zeds hanging around a certain part of a city while the rest of it is empty or nearly empty, or you could come across a town with just two zombies in it. Would also make the game more realistic, unpredictable and fun -
Hotfix Build 1.7.2.3 Rolling Update
RobbL (DayZ) replied to rocket's topic in Mod Announcements & Info
I wish zeds weren't so evenly spread out in towns and cities. It's like 1 zed to a building. Makes looting too predictable. Maybe zed numbers could be focused in random areas of cities and walk around randomly in small to large groups. Currently zombies don't have any group behaviour, which I hope gets implemented in the future -

Ah ok, thanks for your help anyway Sorry to ask so many questions, but the download for 95054 is asking for a username and password for some reason -

Whenever I try to connect to the server I get a message along the lines of "kicked by battleeye: wrong version" -

Since when has the 'Children in Africa' argument ever been a legit argument? -
Why are people moaning about bear traps? They're not going to be common for balancing reasons, and on top of that they're not exactly found everywhere in real life either. Unlike barb wire i'm guessing that you can disable and set them off without the need of any tools, and then should be able to put them in your backback and use them for youself. All I can see bear traps doing is mixing up the gameplay a little, which is never a bad thing
-
Um, I don't know if this is really the right place to post this, but how will you be able to communicate with other players when global and side chat is disabled and you haven't got a mic?
-
Adding something which is impossible and stupid like the example you mentioned would obviously make the game unrealistic. Excluding something that happens in real life though wouldn't make the game any less realistic, especially when it's something that is irrelevant to existing mechanics. Take Microsoft Flight Simulator for example, it's one of the most realistic flight simulator games out there. However, there's no feature that involves the pilot needing to leave the plane on autopilot or handing controlss over to a co-pilot every once in a while so he can pop to the toilet. Does that happen in real life? Yep. Does excluding it from the game make it unrealistic? Nope.
-
I've seen some of your other suggestions and they're quite decent (I commented on your thread about helis), but you must have had a massive brain fart when you came up this. Just accept this might not be a great idea and drop the superiority complex
-
I have made coherent arguments as to why your idea is a load of crap, but you keep replying with faux-intellectual nonsense.
-
You seem to be going by on an assumption that just because something happens in real life it should happen in game. That's not what realism is about. If something is worthless to gameplay and immersion, it's worthless to the game This suggestion is just so forced and pointless May I just ask, are you autistic?
