can any of you guys with good fps tell me some config file changes you have made? that havent sacrificed graphics too much.

Hi everyone so im getting pretty annoyed right now, people are either trying to troll me or they're tweaking things, on the dayz Facebook page a couple of people told me that they were getting 40fps in towns, yes in towns with r9 270x graphics cards and i5 processors on max settings. Now the thing that made me think they were lying is that i have an i7 4790 and a gtx 970 and in game i cant even get 40fps on low settings in towns so i don't understand how these guys are? so is there actually anyway of getting good fps on this game without turning settings right down or are they lying?.

i just find it stupid how after all this time its still in a too much of an early stage, look at h1z1 i enjoy that game not just because its good but because its "playable", i would enjoy dayz if it was playable to an acceptable level but its not and hasn't been for two years or however long its been out. they need to make that a priority and theyve been told this by many paying customers, we dont want stupid things like buses and tents. we want smooth gameplay. you could make the greatest game of all time but if its not smooth its not going to make it.

this game doesnt even use 800mb of vram...... it actually runs smoother at higher resolution than it does at lower but i still get 20-25fps in small towns..... dont blame my system (gtx 970, i7 4790 and 16gb of 2133mhz ram. can someone point me in the right direction.

same server and everything il try get some screenshots etc tomorrow to show you, in this town while on 1080p i was only getting 25-30fps, when i put the render resolution on i was getting 45fps, i was like wtf.

whats with this game lel, i can hardly play at 1080p with my beastly rig, yet if i put the render resolution to 4k i get double the fps, i wonder if its because it will use more of the gpu than 1080p would, has anyone else noticed this or is it just me ? my pc specs are as followed, sandisk extreme ii ssd (dayz is installed on), 1tb wd green, msi 4g gtx 970, i7 4790 and 16 gigs of corsair vengeance ram, i hate people who say "upgrade your potato" its like yeah because thats a potato rig.
