    Considering Purchasing the Game

1 - No 2 - No 3 - Yes 4 - No 1 & 2 - Look at the recent patch notes and then the upcoming patch notes. The devs have put a lot of things into the game, continues to do so and a LOT more is coming. I'm really excited for the future of this game. 3 - I may be a minority but I suffer relatively few bugs. The worst thing that has happened in the last 3 months would be a backpack and contents vanishing. Annoying but that's all, just go find another one and gear up again. Hardly game breaking. I haven't suffered a ridiculous fall damage since I very first started playing, nor have I had any issues with trucks recently (I did die from one when they first came out but that was months ago). Yes, zombies sometimes glitch through doors and walls - but if you know that, and EVERYONE does, then it's hardly a big deal is it? Just accept the fact that, for the moment at least, it does happen and plan accordingly. Besides, it doesn't even happen all the time, just sometimes and mainly if the zombie in question can go into an attack animation - that's usually when they pass through walls. So get into the house when it is far enough away and stay away from exterior walls. Again, it's NOT a game breaker, Personally, I've never seen a hacker either. 4 - 100% no regrets. I played it for 20 hours when I first got it (cannot remember when, maybe a year ago?) and hated it. Controls were clunky, game was glitched, I just thought it was terrible. Then I came back to it and gave it another chance. That was about 3 months ago and I've racked up over 300 hours in that time. Something just clicked and that was it. I'm not a fanboy, there are definitely some things that need to be fixed but, and it's practially a cliche now, it IS still alpha. The devs do plan to fix those things that need it and the whole zombie system will be overhauled, plus the game gets a new render. If you think it's quick or easy to do what these guys are doing then you are naive. It's not, it bloody difficult. It takes a lot of time and effort. But it IS happening. This game offers the opportunity to have a unique gaming experience like no other game can or does. Give it a little time, be patient and the rewards can be amazing. EDIT - Just to clairfy, my post isn;t directed at anyone in particular, just general comments ;-)

When you are in a BAD mood!

I love this video, everything the guy says is just amazing! Never has "I'm sorry" sounded less convincing than when the guy says it three times. "Ok, you can have my hammer" - Yeah, cos you really want a sledgehammer, they are just so rare - and definitely worthy compensation for him trying to KoS you Then when you leave him there with broken legs his whining "it's not gg" (from where I am watching it's a VERY gg for you) Finally, his wailing "ok be a dick then" when he's the one who has been a dick and has got exactly what he deserved. Well played sir, very well played indeed.

    How was your Day(Z)?

Joined the Musty server yesterday. Because of the time difference it was quite quiet, only around 8 people on. My intention was to make my way to Chez Eno's, then hunker down with the view to possibly meeting up with some of you guys in the future. My ping was never less than 100 (whilst on the server screen) but once into the game the connection felt absolutely fine and the action menus were all very responsive. Found myself just East of Cherno so I made my way along the coast. There was a small industrial area just inland nearby me so I swung over to try and find a melee weapon. Instead I found an infected. No problem, I'll just keep evading it whilst I check the buildings and sheds looking for something to hit it with. Ran over to a nearby workshop and found another infected. Sigh, it's going to be one of those DayZ... I kept sprinting in and out of the buildings, never stopping, just running into one door and out another or simply running a tight circle inside if there was only one door, scanning the floor for something and then running out again. I managed to pick up another infected, then a fourth and finally a fifth. All I needed now was the Benny Hill theme tune.. Instead I got a voice saying "need any help?" I said " I'm fine thank you, I'm just going to keep running until I find something to kill these fellas with, but feel free to help yourself if you want!" and the howling screams of the infected duly stopped one by one as my rescuer laid into them with his axe. I thanked him for his help, he said I was welcome and I think he got close enough to check my pulse before we both continued on our way. Not bad for a first encounter on a new server! I continued up the coast, finding the odd thing here and there to keep me going - a jacket for warmth, a bottle of water for hydration to make me stuffed, a potato to stop my hunger make me stuffed, and a Longhorn to defend myself with lose when I had to log off then reconnect 5 minutes later. ;-) I made it up to Elektro without incident and started looting the buildings on the Western outskirts of the town. I had just found a Repeater, for which I already had some ammo, when I heard gunshots. I couldn't locate them and I'm poor at recognising weapon sounds but I think it was a Sporter and a shotgun of some sort. I briefly considered trying to locate the people responsible before deciding that this really wasn't my fight so I ran back out to the West, then North and looped all the way around the top of the hill that lies to the North West of the city. As I made my way down the hill I could see the fire station next to the power plant. I know it's a major PVP area, which really isn't my thing, but for some reason I just couldn't stop myself from turning slightly towards it and I found myself running straight at those huge red doors. It was like someone or something else was controlling me and compelling me to go into the fire station. I didn't stop, I didn't check for other survivors and I didn't even scan the room as I entered it - a tiny part of my brain was trying to scream that this was not me driving my body, that this was not how I behaved but I had no control over my actions. I just ran through a set of open doors, immediately turned left and ran straight up to the shelves under the stairs. There lay a pristine fireaxe that I now realised I knew would be there. I picked it up, tested the weight of it, then slung it on my back. Suddenly the spell was broken. What the f*&k was I doing here? I sprinted out of the doors, jinking and weaving all the time and burned my way up the road leading North away from Elektro as fast as I could. Well that was...weird. There then followed a prolonged jog up the road as I made my way to Polana via Staroye and Shakhovka, attempting to achieve a bright green energized and hydrated status without blowing my own stomach up. I did it once, briefly, by being very careful and only eating and drinking a little at a time, whilst sprinting to burn off any stuffed effect, but eventually settled on dark green for both. I managed to swap out the Repeater for a Mosin with LRS (so maybe I can acutally hunt some animals again now!) and also kitted myself out with a cooking pot and tripod though the best box of matches I could find only had 6 matches in it. Still, beats the time I found that box with 1 match in it... Since the server was picking up now I left Polana heading due East, so that I would pass to the South of Berezino in order to try and avoid getting killed now that my destination was in sight. I broke cover on the coast road, a little to the North of Nizhnoye, turned left and sprinted towards Chez Eno. i found the well by the house which is where I think it is, but the house closest to the well didn't look very defensible to me so I moved to the next house up, went upstairs and logged off. Mission accomplished!

Encountering the new animal AI is a unique experience

lol, it's a zombie herding cow!!! And that music at the end, made me laugh. Also, amusing to see that the zombies will chase animals and then when they catch them...do nothing. You're lucky by the way, I like to play as something of a hunter and I cannot get within a mile of a cow now - they just bolt away at a hundred miles an hour and run until they disappear :-(

who's seen the abandoned soviet underground bases?

I was wandering around the very top of the map a few days ago - it's really good up there! Very pretty, lots of small villages and farming areas, a nice looking wooden bridge over a river and (spoiler alert!) lots of those cabins that always have a gun in the right hand corner as you go into them :-) Up there I saw a large slab of concrete with what looked like a ladder going down into a hole in the middle of it - I immediately thought it was some sort of bunker complex but didn't bother to investigate it since I didn't think there was any such feature in the game. Did I miss out on something cool, or was that something else? I also found the mining complex with all the bulldozers and diggers - that was really impressive and I'd love to actually be able to go into the mine system itself at some point in the future. There's also what looks like a lumber mill. Whoever is working on the very Northern most part of the map at BI is doing a fantastic job IMO :-)
  8. I like your video - the way you are laughing, not taking it too seriously and generally enjoying yourself is great to watch.

    0.54 Issues

I looked at the patch notes, but all I could see was a few things about animals spinning and "animal navigation" which wasn't very clear and certainly doesn't seem to indicate that cows now have a built in radar system to allow them to detect all humans within 500 metres. But, like I say, sorry if I missed it.
  12. krazypenguin

    0.54 Issues

Apologies if I missed it but I've not seen anyone mention animal behaviour in 0.54. It's virtually impossible to hunt animals now. I've not even seen a deer or boar yet but I've seen 6 cows and they have all spooked at incredibly long range, almost as soon as line of sight is established. They have then run off at extremely high speed until out of sight. Cows are domesticated animals and should not flee from humans, except possibly at very close range, unless attacked. Whilst it is more realistic for wild animals like the deer and boar to spook at longer range at the moment it is impossible to hunt as they spook at too long range. Unless you have a Mosin with a Long Range Scope it's virtually impossible to take out an animal - even my SKS with PU scope was useless. In fact, I suspect that the reason I haven't seen any deer or boars is because they may be spooking and running away from me before they are even being drawn on my screen. It needs to be looked into and balanced please.

    How was your Day(Z)?

Thanks for your kind words. I tried to hook up with Eno a while back since I would love to play with you guys (another others who post here) but the reailty is that the time difference combined with my own work & home life schedule makes it very, very difficult. Also, I tend to get called away regularly which means I keep having to log off and random times. Oh yeah, and the ping is astronomical! I connected to a server Eno suggested once and my ping was running at around 160 - that's pretty bad! With regard to the cooking, you still need a cooking pot (or frying pan - more on that in a bit) when using the 8 stone oven - you just don't need a cooking tripod as well. Since the tripod uses 3 inventory slots and a stack of 8 stones only uses 1 it is way better to use the oven, I think. Some notes about cooking in 0.54. The cooking pot now only holds 4 pieces of meat (used to be 8) but on the plus side, the frying pan now holds 4 as well (used to be 3). Also, other than steaks, the only food that you can put into the cooking pot now appears to be the pepper. I tried all cans and all other fruit and vegetables and nothing else would go in there. I tried for 3 hours to find a cooking pot or frying pan so I could do some tests last night. In that time I found 3 Magnums (I took them all for the lols), a P1, 2 Derringers, and enough rifles to start a medium sized war, but nothing to cook with. Finally, as I was about to give up, I found a frying pan. And then I realised that I needed to find an animal to cook and a little alarm bell in my head went off. Animals aren't that rare but in the 3 hours of searching for a cooking pot I hadn't seen a single one - and I had covered a LOT of ground where I would expect to see them. Ok, no problem, I know for sure that there will be some around Polana, Shakhovka or Berezino and luck is with me as I find a nice blue truck. Good news for truck drivers in 0.54 - they are now way quicker, certainly to accelerate and uphill, even from a standing start - I didn't need to use the turbo boost once. Actually, i have to admit I was worried about using the truck at all since I had read some horror stories about them since the patch but my drive went quickly and smoothly. Within minutes I was at Gorka and suddenly saw 4 cows in a field, 2 close by and 2 in the distance. Easy pickings! I pulled up near, but not too near, to the animals, killed the engine and jumped out. And then all hell broke lose. Both of the nearby cows went nuts, running away at about a hundred miles an hour, jinking all the over the place. And they did not stop. WTF? Ok, where are the other 2...oh, they are legging it too. With a sinking feeling I started to realise why I hadn't seen any animals this session - it looks like the new animal behaviour patterns have made animals super sensitive to players - they will spook at incredibly long distance, I mean seriously, seriously long range - so long that most of the time they run before they are even drawn on my screen. Feck. I ran after one and every time I got within line of sight at any range, it just spooked and ran and ran. Finally, I lost line of sight to it, crept around where I thought it would be in a slight loop and, remaining crouched, I approached from behind a bush. Aha! Cow spotted, range 150 metres! The ground sloped away so I needed to stand to shoot it and as soon as I did it ran away again. Sigh. I tried again and again but just couldn't get even remotely close to it. Finally I lost patience, and just blasted away at it from about 300 metres using 10 rounds from a non-scoped SKS (half of my precious SKS ammo, all of which missed) and 18 rounds from a Magnum. 1 of the Magnum rounds hit which spooked the cow again (that, at least, is realistic) and it ran off again for another mile. I started chasing it and halfway across a field the server restarted. I gave up and went to bed. Cooking will have to wait. The devs need to work on animal behaviour, at least for cows that would be domesticated and used to humans. Players should be able to get quite close to them without spooking them, at least until they fired a weapon. Hoping the change to the frying pan (3 meat slots to 4) means it will actualy work now - will test it this weekend, assuming I can actually find an animal to cook! That means that the DayZ server you were on restarted or went down. Most servers stay up for anything from 2-4 hours between resets. A good server will tell you in the bottom left corner of the screen that it is about to restart. Wait 5-10 minutes then rejoin. Always note the server IP and port you play on to make sure you reconnect tot the same one as different servers can have different characters on them. lol EDIT - Oooh, something new (I think?) for server admins in 0.54 - on one of the servers I was on last night the admins were posting messages in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. i don't speak enough of their language to know what they were actually saying but they were definitely having a text conversation. Then, just before a restart, I heard a voice in English say that the server would restart in 10 minutes, then the message repeated in German and then was repeated as types messages in the corner of the screen. So it looks like admins can now broadcast a voice message to all players on their server?!

Best tactic in dealing with zombies?

If you have a reasonable melee weapon kill them. If not, run and evade. Decent melee weapons include - fire axe, splitting axe, hatchet, ice pick, sledgehammer, pick axe. These are the only ones that definitely work for me, other people may have success with other weapons, but I always struggle with anything not listed here. To attack them simply stand still facing them with your weapon raised as they approach you.. Just before they reach you they will usually lunge\jump - sidestep them so they pass by and then turn to face them again. They will turn and walk a step or two back towards you - at this point swing your weapon at them, remembering that it is the arc of the weapon that determines where it will hit, not the white dot in the middle of your screen. A common mistake is to aim low because you are using 3PP view (which encourages a more downward looking apsect) but a head hit is way more effective so either us 1PP view for melee or just practice aiming higher. Guns are a bad idea because they make a lot of noise which attracts every infected within miles and, even worse, other players. However, it is incredibly satisfying to stand in a town square with a shotgun wasting infected by the dozen. If you chose to run the trick is to break line of sight. When they lose LoS they will stop and go into hunt mode - if they cannot see you they will use audio to try and hunt you. You can try slowing down and creeping but I prefer to just keep running and rely on continually breaking LoS until they are so far away that I get away. Using low fences helps a lot as they cannot jump and have to go around them. However, always be careful to make 100% sure that you've definitely lost an infected before you drop your guard. I've been sorting out my inventory in a forest 3 minutes after leaving a town, having thought I had lost my pursuer, when they've finally caught up with me. Scared the hell out of me... Edit - for me at least, doors and walls are no guarantee of safety - infected regularly glitch or phase through them - be warned...

I killed a guy - my first in DayZ

I say beans to you. Annoying guy won't leave you alone, ingores loot to keep following you and repeatedly draws his weapon when he thinks you aren't looking? He was only ever going to attack you.

    How was your Day(Z)?

Today I killed my second ever player. But before I tell you about that, I need to give you some context. I've now seen quite a lot of DayZ videos where players get hit in the head and knocked out. i now understand, sort of and not that I would ever do it, why some fresh spawns will try and duke it out with fully kitted out players, even ones armed with guns - because one lucky hit is all you need to knock the geared guy down for a few seconds during which you grab his weapon, kill him, then loot his corpse at your leisure. Actually, the fact that most geared players wear a helmet which prevents this from happening seems to have escaped the attention of the sort of player that does this and I find that very amusing. However, if you don't have any head gear you are vulnerable to a single lucky or well aimed hit. Point one to note! I've also seen, and experienced, new spawns trying to attack me even though I was a new spawn myself and then, when I have run away, they have chased me relentlessly, for miles sometimes. 2 stand out instances are the guy who chased me all the way from Kamy to Solnichniy shouting "I want to give you Ebola" non-stop. I replied "Sorry, you want to give me a bowl of what?" then he asked me where I was from (still chasing me) and I, of course, replied "Chernarus" and asked him the same question. He said he was from "the nuclear disaster at Chernobyl" Fine, I can play this game WAY better than you my friend. "Oh really? What year was the disaster then?" "erm...19...49?" came the hesitant reply. Sigh..."Mate, if you are going to come up with a back story for your charcter, at least research some of the key facts" I berated him, applying additional insults based on his overall lack of preperation and failure to fully immerse himself in the whole RP experience side of DayZ. One must take ones simple pleasures where one can ;-) Fortunately, as we continued to run down the road I spotted someone coming the other way who was armed with a fire axe and I yelled for him to please take this freaking nutter out for me please, which he duly did, as I kept on running. The other experience was actually last night, where another feckless maniac kept trying to punch me. I kept him at bay with a sledgehammer, my only possession, but he kept ducking out of range as I swung. The stand off continued until i tricked him into backing away only to put the sledgehammer on my back, turn 180 degrees and leg it. I made it to a small cluster of buildings with maybe 10 metres on him. I vaulted a low fence, laughed as he smashed into it, then jinked my way through the town, twisting and turning, jumping fences, running for walls then breaking at random angles, etc.. I lost him within 30 seconds and got away. So, my default tactic for dealing with hostile randoms is to run because I know that I can lose them. But what if I am not alone...? For something different I joined a random, high pop, persistence off private server. I'm in Kamy and the police station is just in front of me. Ok...let's see what DayZ has in store for me. On the way to the police station I grab a hatchet from a shed then round the corner and oh look, an AK-74 sitting on the roof of a Police car. No mag of course, but still, just lol. Grab that (even though I'll never use it) and raid the police station. I clear the ground floor and am just about to go up the stairs as another fresh spawn enters the building. We both back off in surprise and he opens comms. "Don't kill me please, I am friendly" he says in very good English but with a German accent. "No worries man, you don't kill me either, ok?" I reply. Whilst I quite fancy the idea of hooking up with a random player to see what happens that old DayZ "trust no one" thing kicks in and I find myself saying "Ok, nice to meet you, I'm going to go off this way - see you" and I run out of the side door. I hear him reply "ok, bye!" and then I'm out of there. Kamy's not that big but it's still a decent enough size that I'm happy to continue looting the North side of the town even though there's potential danger in the area - besides, I got quite a good vibe off him. I'm actually mentally kicking myself for not trying to play with this guy when I find a Longhorn and fire axe. Right, I don't need the hatchet and I don't want the Longhorn - let's see if I can make a friend. I find German guy in a house near the police station, ask him if he wants the hatchet or Longhorn and drop them on the ground between us, then back away. He's clearly both surprised and suspicious - this obviously hasn't happened to him before but he thanks me graciously (a very polite man!) and takes them. Then, for some reason, I again back away. Argh, why can't I just ask him if we can stick together?? What the heck is wrong with me that I just cannot trust someone, even when I am playing what is effectively a throw away new spawn character?! I return to "my" end of town to loot some more and within 30 seconds I find a Mosin. Right, an AK-74 might be great and all that but..yeah, let's be honest and practical here - I ditch it and grab the Mosin. I move into the street and see 2 players doing the dance of death - my German friend is being attacked by a new spawn. Remember my rule for dealing with hostile new spawns? That's right, run. But that's when I am alone and now I am not. One lucky hit from the maniac will be enough to incapacitate my friend and then it's game over for him. The maniac isn't using comms, nor is he responding to anything we say. It's late, I'm tired and I don't want my gaming experience to be ruined by a total f**kwit. Mainly though, it pisses me off greatly to see a decent guy having his game ruined. Frankly, it's rude and I do not like rude people. The fire axe comes out and I launch myself into the melee. The maniac takes an axe to the body and starts bleeding. I just stand there, swinging my axe in a slient, cold fury. He takes another hit and drops to the floor. I check his pulse, see his name is Sacha and then open comms. "Sacha.....you're a pratt." He's never going to get up again but I bury my axe in his head for good measure. My second ever kill and I don't feel an ounce of regret over it. The gene pool is a little cleaner now, if ony for the next 30 or so seconds. ;-) The German thanks me for my help and finally the ice is broken - we've got a common bond now, a shared experience that ties us. He asks if we can run together and I gladly say yes. Finally! We loot the rest of Kamy together, sharing loot and gear equally. He clearly can't believe that he's met someone who not only doesn't want to kill him, but is actually asking him what he needs, pointing out where stuff is and sharing. We make it halfway to Msta when I have to go. I really don't want to but my time is up. I drop my Mosin and Fire Axe for him to take and log off. Today was a great DayZ :-)

    Crafted Leather cloths

Re the tanning, it's not quite balanced at the moment. You are correct that boars make 2, cows 3 and deer 4 pieces of hide, but that's not in proportion to the amount of inventory space they take up. For example, the boar skin takes 10 slots in a 5 long\2 deep config but only gives 2 hides but the smaller deerp pelt (4x2) gives 4 hides. Huh? It feels a bit counter intuitive. Also, why can you only make the leather sack our of boar pelt and not the others? Then, when it comes to actually tanning them, you cannot combine bags of lime and you have to have enough in the bag to tan a full pelt. So a 30% full bag of lime cannot tan a deer hide at all (needs 40%) nor can you add a 10% bag of lime to the 30% bag to make the 40% you need. Annoying! I also lost a lot of meat and a cooking pot with the changes in 0.53 - is there no change log where we can find this stuff out? That said, it's still enjoyable learning about the changes and finding new stuff out. Plus, it really feels like the game is moving in the right direction with the advances in cooking and tanning etc.. I'm very optimistic for the future :-)

Wear ALL the leather!! But yeah, other than the storage vest with its very useful 10 slots, it's not really worth the effort unless you are playing a natural survival\wilderness hunter type. And no, not waterproof either.

    Death by Overheating.

Odd - I almost always wear pristine raincoats and I never overheat. Cannot comment on the ghillie overheating specifically, but as a general observation, I think that people tend to underestimate the importance and severity of the status messages - the game tends to compress time and the effects of various things, even if this seems unrealistic or a bit silly. As an example, cooking meat now almost always results in my character becoming "hot" because you have to stay too close to the fire to check the meat. Now that hot status doesn't mean that he's just a bit warm and needs to get away from the fire for a bit, it's more representative of someone who's suffering from serious heat stroke and requires either medical attention or some amount of time in a cooler environment with adequate hydration to recover. Annoying, yes a bit, but it is what it is, at least until the devs make changes. ;-)

Here, Devs, a word in your shell like..

What, in case the water source came to you? If you go unconcious the only thing that is going to save you is a friend, in which case you know they are coming and it's worth waiting for, or a random stranger who just happens to be friendly and also has a saline bag on them. The chance of that happening is so slim that it's really not worth waiting for. However, the fact that the game lets you make that decision of whether to wait in vain hope or just respawn is a good thing. For what it's worth, I once waited 27 minutes for a friend to try and bring me back from unconciousness before we decided to call it a day, but that's was my choice and I'm glad the game let us try it (we only failed because we didn't understand the mechanics at the time)

    what is duping?

Technically, necromancy isn't a bad thing - it's traditional meaning is to do with talking to the dead for purposes of divination. It's only fairly recently (maybe last 100-150 odd years or so) that the association with actually raising corpses, particularly to form armies of undead, has developed - mainly due to lots of really bad novels. However, if you want to read a good novel about a necromancer take a look at the excellent Johannes Cabal series of books. On topic, incoming lock?

    How was your Day(Z)?

So having spent 2 weeks looking for a single Iz-43 shotgun until finding one yesterday, I just found 2 more within the last hour! I have to agree that the shotgun doesn't feel very effective against other players, on the 1 or 2 times I've had to defend myself with it, but I just love it for killing infected. :-) Edit - oh yeah, re the compass. I once got a pristine, worn, damaged and badly damaged compass (i.e. one in each condition) stood facing South and all 4 gave a different direction. None of which was South. Also, for me at least, the sun is almost always due South, not even vaguely East or West! Greetings fellow Dinger, I am indeed the same one from WoT.

    How was your Day(Z)?

DayZ taketh and DayZ giveth... I've played on the same server for a long time now. It's a clan server but I've met the clanners in-game and they were good guys and girls. The server was always available and resets were always regular and predictable. I never got kicked and never met any dodgy players. It's the server where I learned to hunt, cook and tan. More importantly, it's the server where I kept my stash, became confident in the concept of leaving gear and guns in the open for days on end, albeit hidden in trees and grass, and where I knew I could retire to eat and drink, heal my wounds and sort my loot out. It was home...and last night it was gone. I'd figured something was wrong when my stash first disappeared last week. I guessed that the admins had changed it from a persistence on to a persistence off server. I was disappointed that they did this without any sort of warning - I thought they were better than that. I stuck with it for a few days, still not sure of the persistence status because it seemed to be changing on a daily basis. Then, last night, I connected as usual and just as I pressed the button I spotted that it said "1PP" - yup, they had now changed it to a 1PP public server. I have no objection to playing 1PP, I already have a few such characters, but again it was the lack of notice to the players that upset me, and of course I can no longer play my primary 3PP public character on that server. Time to move home. So, a fresh start and a fresh challenge. I've kept a stash that has acted as a base of operations and tied me to a fairly restricted area, which was fine whilst I learned some things. Time to roam the map now and see what fate has planned for me so I selected a random persistence off server (persistence on is just too buggy for me really) and off I went. In the first building I found my favourite gun - the IZ double barrelled shotgun. I've been looking for one of these for 2 weeks now since my last one simply disappeared from my backpack one day. I already had 60 shells and a snap loader for it so I was very happy, as you can imagine. It took a while but I eventually found a hacksaw and was finally reunited with a beautiful sawn-off shotgun :-) I'm currently packing that and an SKS which is pretty much my favourite load out. Now if I can only find a Magnum to go with my Magnum speedloader I'll be ready for the next wipe! ;-) Finally, whilst roaming around in the North I stumbled across a fantastic site - a car graveyard with about 8 military trucks in it. I don't normally bother with military clothing but this was impossible to pass up. I love that even when I think I know the map, I find new things that I had no idea about. I really must explore more of the world!
