Why do you think its because they want to seem epic? Its just simpler to use. Hell when I say sniper in games like COD its usually with a lot of rage instead of respect. Its a simple way of communicating a role for each person. The military don't use it to feel epic. I'm not saying players are soldiers, but those who would likely say squad or team isn't doing it to act like their Delta Force. -

Using military terminologies is a accurate and easy way of showing what roles people on your squad fulfill. You won't call your sniper "that dude who can shoot really well." Just saying sniper or medic is easier. Its not like anyone is roleplaying as military, but using military terminology can be simpler and more familiar for a lot of people. -

Yeah I remember hearing about Day Z from another guy on a separate forum. So I eventually bought it like a week later. The videos at first showed Day Z as a game where there are some PKers, but people generally will work together. Now when I get it que me being forced to kill everything that movies because I'm always getting shot at. Even when I first played the game the zombies I could deal with. The damn killers everywhere were a nuisance. -

So you want me to provide the scripts from a hack months ago using shit from hfbservers that was updated multiple times? Do you know how difficult it can be sometimes to catch simple shit? Hell even if the info was still somehow there I'm not sure what month it happened in. All I know is experiencing getting bombed to fucking hell. I'm giving you anecdotal evidence. Don't worry the next time I get bombed I'll make sure I'll save it for you. -

You've never been airstriked in Day Z before have you? There doesn't need to be any planes at all. A script kiddie will just drop bombs on you form out of no where. It happened to me and my friends when we were playing. We know it happened due to the scripts. -

Oh please get over it. The main reason why this game can be enjoyable and adrenaline pumping is because you are attached to your gear and you want to keep it. Guess what happens when someone with a Coyote backpack, NV gogles, L85, GPS and all the other goodies meets another player randomly? They shit their pants because they don't want to lose their gear.. When you have something you like and risk losing it shit gets so much more fun and even terrifying. -

I know a guy who was camping out Electro. He was finding bandits who were camping and killing players so he sniped the bandits. Eventually he was running out of food and water so he killed a survivor for supplies. The point is that you can find bandits without finding the heartbeats. -

I hope you realize that when you put on a camo or ghillie the zombie kill count resets until you disconnect from the game. You would know that if you ever had a ghillie or camo. -

On the server I play on a lot we got a couple of disconnecters banned. Of course in that situation you need the server admin to help out. Plus if the server admin bans the asshole its not like they can argue against it since they were disconnecting.
