Hello everyone.. I just wanted to share this site that is giving away a copy of ARMA 2 Combined Ops on Steam. It is a contest, and it will close once it reaches 150 entries. So, i thought this would be a good place to share this - if you have friends who would like to play the game but can't afford it, or if there are people who would like to play and don't have Combined Ops this is a nice chance to win the game through a contest.

I don' see how can this be a scam - you don't have to pay anything or give out personal info...

i like this idea This. I vote for NO STARTING GEAR. It is very doable. I've done it a lot of times by just dropping what I have and seeing where the wind takes me. +1 to this! I really see no reason why you should start with bandages and painkillers - flashlight is ok as a starting gear, as it's so dangerous to turn the damned thing on!

I never had any success with cans, I just can't get them to go where I want...

Yea, the thing is, you have to throw the flare before they agrroed on you, then wait for them to go for it.. I used this tactic successfully a few times.

The thing I found useful is using flares as a distraction.. I just throw a flare in the opposite direction to where I want to be.. Zombies swarm to the flare, and than I can go in...

I am having the same problem.. I actually thought that i need to find batteries for it in order to work, lol!

The game is much more intense this way, though I think that they should increase the chances of finding a weapon - I looted three or four locations today - and I found lots of ammo, frag grenade, smoke grenade, but not a single weapon... After some time looting defenseless - you make a mistake and die because there is no way to defend yourself without a weapon.

I am also having the crosshair problems..

Hi, I have troubles running the Dayz 1.7.1 with arma2 beta patch 93825. I run the GreenManGaming version of Arma2 and the only way I can play Dayz is trough SU... So here is what I did: 1.Updated Dayz to 1.7.1 through SU 2.Updated ARMA2 OA to beta 93825 patch 3.Copied the beta .exe to my default game folder I put in SU 4.SU detects the patch - the game version is now 1.60.0.93825 5.When I press Launch, the game crashes giving "Error creating Direct3D 9 Graphical Engine" I was able to run previous arma2 version with Dayz without problems. I was searching the forum but the only solution involves modifying shortcut target line - but i can only launch the game through SU. Anyone?

I fixed the issue! Apparently there is a Beta ticker box in SU, just ticked it and it is working fine now!
