I know that I have already made this statement before but not officially in the suggestion section. But please implement proper window mode. I run in window mode now but the game pauses video feed if the DayZ game window is not active. I hate this because if I get a message/email/call/etc in on one of my other screens I cannot interact with it without making sure I am in a safe place or exit altogether. Please DayZ Dev team implement correct game windowing. Some of us like to multitask while playing.

Was on the exact same server type? When dickong around on othwr servers I have logged off and when attempting to log back in to that server And it has changed from public to private. Of course joining a public server again restores my character. Just a thought.

Oops, sorry I was so caught up in my glitch douches rage that I forgot to comment about the OP. I also feel your pain I have had countless team mates blown up trying to active mine or have a grenade that hits an invisible wall in front of you and comes rolling back to your feet. Not to mention the number of broken legs activating the bear trap. Ahh, so many fond memories but I better wrap this up because I need to get back in to play more DayZ. What can I say...

I am totally with you Funkmaster! That is one of the most annoying things about DayZ the gloating douches that kill you because they exploit a glitch or other bugginess in the game! RAGE!! I'm okay now sorry about my unsightly outburst.

To me it seems like a bad memory chip. Is the memory error always in the same memory address block? I know you are thinking "but everything else runs fine." However DayZ has memory allocation issues and may be using memory blocks that other tasks never allocate. Run memtest86 just to make sure that the issue is not you memory. Oops, just saw that you said you did a memtest. Could be a Virtual Memory issue where there is bad sectors on your hard drive. Set your Virtual Memory to 0 then reboot and set back then reboot. This will completely clear the Virtual Memory sectors and re-allocate.

Anyone know why the devs are resistant to making the tablets not able to be combined, it has been suggested under "stackable" items numerous times? Now with the beginnings of the disease system getting implemented I find myself carrying more meds. If you have a group of 1 water purification tablet and a group of 3 why can they not be combined? I understand that it cannot go back into the container but I should have the option just like bullets to empty and combine. Actually I would prefer if the "empty" action was automatic with both tablets and ammo so that it would eliminate the extra stupid step.

I am in total agreement! They finally fixed the horrid "jumpiness" so you can get in and out without dying but now the damn truck is as fragile as a piece of glass! With server desync/rubberbanding you almost are guaranteed two flat tires every time you drive for any distance. If not totally glitches into a fence. I mean it is a military grade transport give it some durability. Not to mention if I can put a passenger in the cab then a gas canister should certainly fit instead and if I have a cargo V3S the cargo should support more than people like gear, tents, gaa canisters and any general rubbish I wish to throw in the back.

I for one am for the grenade launcher because the current state of the throw item in-game is so inconsistent that when using a grenade you have a 50/50 chance that you are using against yourself.

You can search for stones and craft an improvised knife using any gravelly area, i.e. beach, railroad tracks, arched alleyways, etc. Just look for gravel its a little picky at times but can be found all over the map not just coast.

Hey SMoss can I get some clarification on the tent persistence since the roll-back to the legacy loot system. The status report was a bit unclear as least to my reading of it anyway. Do you mean that moving forward with 56 or do you mean moving forward with 55.127157? Since the status was posted before the latest patch 55.127157 I didn't know. Basically, I just want to know if I put my tent and garden back down and stock up will it stay after the server maintenance next week?

I definitely think the loot system and distro needs work in the sense of logical loot location. The Dev team has listened, understands, and it is a WIP. Isn't that what an alpha is all about. I appreciate that the Dev team is open to listening to the community on suggestions and problems. However, this community for the most part has sounded like a bunch of spoiled brats. ...the zombies are too easy and too few ...the zombies are too hard and too many ...the loot is too prevalent which is unrealistic ...the loot is too scarce and poorly distributed. Stop moaning and adapt

Well the question is are loot landmines activated? If not then it really is not a problem as player set/activated landmines are not likely to be wasted in random places but rather used as perimeter defense and as such should be persistent.

I have successfully setup both civilian and military tents on public 0.55.127157 3pp. My question is "Are tents fully persistent now?" meaning will they and their contents remain after the weekly server maintenance occurs.

I know I have stated a similar suggestion about spray paintable items but certainly the firefighter helmet should be able to be painted just like all the other helmets.

I definitely would like to see blood trails for tracking. Basically all real life tracking models should be available such as tracks, blood trails, broken branches, and matted grass. Currently there really is only matted grass if someone was crawling would love to see this expanded.

Anyone else having an issue joining certain servers where the DayZ SA crashes to desktop with error popup Cannot open file %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\DayZ\tmp\__cur_mp.ebo? I am able to join must servers fine but this one server keeps doing this.

May want to pin this topic and solution as I saw that yesterday there was quite a long sidebar in exp .55 about this exact problem.

Thanks Franzuu, sure enough using the -dologs causes the game to crash joining certain servers. I removed it and was in like Flynn.

Using the V3S quite-a-bit before and after here are my thoughts; Before: Better and more responsive steering this made it feel more realistic to me. However the momentum issue ruined it as downhill was lightning and uphill was snail. After: It jumps and jives all over the place just walking up to one it starts hopping. I have flown flipped and tumbled all to land back on wheels and drive off. However, I feel that the momentum issue was resolved and now going up and down hill feels more as it should. Final thoughts: I like the realistic stability (rubber to the road - weight) of the old V3S with the momentum tweak of the new. But they still need to fix that the truck cannot drive through signs or fences.

I find it pretty messed up that if you die that all your stuff just vanishes. I understand that your body may decay and so can cloth items fine but any metal items should remain. I mean come on if you are with a buddy they can strip you naked before your body disappears but if you glitch/fall alone all your stuff is gone unless you can beat the body vanishing countdown.

I have also noticed that doors that are closed appear opened while zoomed in and go back to closed when you zoom out. Certainly something strange going on with the zoom graphics feed
