I found plenty of loot, My problem is that loot didn't feel like persisting and neither did my military tent. If you can't find loot you need to change towns or search harder.

My friends use their own steam accounts on my spare pc, The game remembers the last name used. You can change it at the main menu by clicking on it.

I just did it for science. 1 hit = 1 animation. Perhaps your issue is related to desync or lag because without lag and desync every animation of an attack lead to only 1 hit on my screen. Zombies are hard, When you shoot with an ak101 pretty much every zombie nearby comes running, I love it.

Sorry, I get mean when I run out of vodka and can't play dayz. The maintenance was set for 8 hours instead of just 3 so I knew it was likely 0.55 would hit stable unless they ran into problems. Morning everyone. Today's Stable branch maintenance is scheduled from 08:00 -> 16:00 (CET). No wipe of the character database this week.

The radio could also take cassettes which record noises so you could leave it playing sounds to lure players into traps. Or even a mp3 player which is capable of playing mp3 files on the players computer like many other games use.

I've been secretly hoping that they would add a radio which could be used as a distraction for zombies as well as play music in game.

It probably isn't a raised point. Report it here so they are aware of the bug.

I like that we spawn mostly on the coast. It means when you encounter a player inland they are likely to make survival decisions rather than make the decision to run at you no matter what because there are no consequences. I have encountered players at the most unexpected towns inland. If people have trouble getting from the coast to any other location inland they need more practice. I prepare for battle at every single town. So many times I have run into a building and found a person who then tries to pull out their gun but can't because I shot them in the face since my gun was ready. Part of the fun is never knowing which towns are empty and which towns have someone hiding in a corner of a building.

If they cleared ban lists every month or few months it would at least allow you to rejoin that server one day and actually record the false ban the second time. However I don't see that happening so there will be no end to it.

It depends on the server. Some servers handle it fine and some struggle which leads me to believe part of the problem is that the server is using terrible hardware.

All I want is for the public server ban lists to be cleared and admins to be punished when they ban people for no reason. Even if we report public servers for banning people without reason it still doesn't clear the ban list so their servers are still pretty safe. It would be cool if it was some kind of gesture like a handshake so both characters had to do the gesture to avoid annoying trade requests.

I was so disappointed in the mace that I ended up leaving it in a police station.

While complaining doesn't help we need a discussion about what to do about unjust bans, Having to provide video evidence is ridiculous unless you happen to be recording all of the time. If they simply cleared bans after a time period it wouldn't matter so much because at least then you can rejoin that server at a later date and get the evidence.

When servers break the rules and you can provide evidence the server gets taken down. They already got their money so they don't really care if they take down the server. If you had reported a server you would see that they respond extremely quickly and take action immediately, This shows that they do care or at very least meet their obligations as a server host. The employees I have spoken to at various server hosts have been very helpful, I highly recommend reporting servers which break the rules. Also the employees I have mentioned it to agree that the current system for reporting unjust bans is a joke.

I don't think you understand. They pay for a public server which is linked to the public hive. This means that it's the same character as all public servers. If they kick everyone from their server and then go around the entire map collecting gear without any risk of other players then hop onto another public server and use that gear, That is literally pay to win. Dayz has those rules to prevent it from becoming pay to win. It isn't about whining because you can't play a single server when you have hundreds to pick from it's about preventing dayz from becoming a pay to win game.

Yeah It is a bit of a joke that they can kick people rather than report people. Say you do get banned for no reason on a public server you need to provide video evidence of that ban or nothing happens to the server in which case the rules might as well not exist.

Or alternatively I could report their server and get it taken down. I lose nothing by being kicked, However by kicking me they break the rules and get reported 100% of the time. Definitely no need for me to pay for a server.

If they want to kick everyone they should have paid for a private server, It really is that simple.

I killed two people with the mp5 today, Seemed to work perfectly fine for me but I was within 50meters both times.

It's basically logging off and back on for an advantage. Say that I am in a building and someone goes to enter that same building but I shoot at them. Then they stand outside talking to me telling me to come outside but I just log off. They enter the building and I log back in standing behind them and shoot all of them.

Like I said, I have no problem with server hoping. I will loot an entire town or several towns and/or bases then server hop. However logging into one helicrash and then server hoping to 30 different public servers while my character sits in the same place isn't really playing the game.

If you are following roads you should be on the side of the road/grass/trees/bushes because its generally harder to see a player running on grass than a player running on the road. Also the easiest way to help your friend would be saline and splint or morphine. I wouldn't recommend taking your own blood for your friend simply because you called yourself a noob and noobs need every drop of compatible blood they can get. To make a fire you will have to combine sticks or firewood with rags, bandages, paper or books.You need to make sure you have 5? sticks or firewood attached to the fireplace before it will allow you to light the fire with matches. I also found a few pictures of houses that tend to have good loot/food/guns/ammo etc
