In the case of a zombie apocalypse I would only have to walk down to my basement to find a gun lol. Anyway, about gun laws, yes in western Europe, you would probably find fewer guns, but don't forget this game takes place in an unstable eastern European country. Such a country is probably gonna have a lot more guns.

Change the sight meter back to the way it was!

Update sounds good, but it doesn't seem to say anything about fixing the ninja zombies. Changing the sight to the body instead of the head may change it a little, but it doesn't change the fact that zoms see you way too easily now. And they can't have zoms spawn in buildings and spawn us with no weapons. The zoms camp the buildings and you cant go in to get supplies.

Friendly survivor system (hard-coded 'friendliness')

I thought any other game there was about shoot first' date=' ask later :p No well, this discussion is over since many persons want to stick to certain realistic aspects (and ignore many others, of course). It's true that complete strangers shouldn't trust each other, however this is a game a that's a huge obstacle to create complex interactions. There could be done some changes into the mechanic to create mistrust and make it less black and white. Doesn't matter in the end, stop beating the dead horse heh. [/quote'] By any other game, I meant Co-op games or MMOs where they have special mechanics to link up together or whatever. Day Z is supposed to be a zom simulator. It is supposed to feel natural and friendly fire mechanics would break the immersion. And not being sure if you can trust someone does lead to complex interactions, just in a different way from other co-op games. Same as why I don't like the survivor/bandit mechanic, its artificial. Morality should be real, not artificial. Someone else has a thread about getting rid of the humanity system that you could read. -
Dear developers, Zombies and ninjas are very different things. The zom's increased senses are making the game unplayable. Sometimes zombies see me even before I see them. One just saw me around a corner! I'm sure he didn't hear me because I was sneaking around crouched. Then I got to a warehouse and closed both doors. A zom magically teleported through the door and I had to shoot him which aggregated more zombies that teleported through the door and I had to shoot them too. Note that the first zom had not seen me yet. Maybe once they see you zoms shoud be able to open doors (not teleport through them), but there is no reason why a randomly wandering zom should open a door and walk inside, they aren't that smart.

Is it just me or does making the player spawn with close to nothing AND making zombies line of sight further seem like a bad idea. I unfortunately died last night so I spawned this morning to see I had nothing. OK, so go and forage for supplies. Problem, guns can be hard to find and zombies see you much easier. If one zombie sees you, well, you better just press the respawn button because your done. Loot other players for supplies? Problem is they all died with nothing either so nothing to find there. As of the patch I have not seen a single body with anything other than the flashlight bandage and painkillers you start with. BIGGEST PROBLEM: Since the patch I have seen many zombies CAMPING buildings with supplies. I didn't think it was possible but yes zombies are camping. Result: You have no weapons and desperately need supplies, but you cannot get any because of Z improved vision and amazing supplies camping abilities. This makes it very hard to get back on your feet after you die. Before people call me a noob and a whiner, please realize that I am just trying to make suggestions to make the game better.

This advice would be great if I could spawn... Now it just says waiting for character to create, even if I quit and retry multiple times.

Well that's irritating... Global chat? So can you chat with people that are near you? Which channel do you use to do that? The direct communication? Yes' date=' direct comms. Also, remember to read the patch notes, it will save you some frustration. [/quote'] I'm already quite frustrated... The new patch seems impossible unless you spawn near some good supplies. And that only happened once for me, at which point of course the game glitched out and I died for no reason... Now I keep spawning near places with no supplies, no weapons... but plenty of tin cans. I see lots of players corpses, but because of the new patch having you spawn with close to nothing none of the corpses have anything on them... Really disappointing. If only I hadn't died last night right before I logged off!

I started playing the game last night, and had loads of fun (and irritation) but I started playing again this morning and I am completely confused. Now when I spawn, I spawn without a pistol and only a backpack and painkillers. Whenever I get attacked by zombies, I always start bleeding on the first hit now. I logged out, closed the game, then noticed that the arma symbol was still on the taskbar. I clicked it and it brought me back in game and said I was dead! wtf! I logged out! and closed the game. It seems like most servers do not have chat. How do I know what servers do and don't have chat? I'm tired of waiting for a server to load just to realize it doesn't have chat and then quit.
