Just so you're all tracking, Starcraft 2 took 10 years to develop and release... just saying.
-
I would just try to email steam support. I'm sure they have an address somewhere on steam FAQ
-
some cites are worse than others bro, the game isn't optimized yet. dayz is fun, but welcome to the struggle.

Dude. You Don't Need To Capitalize Every Word. There Is Never A Time Where You Will Do That In Any Type Of Environment. Never. Ever Never. You Just Fried My Brain. Welcome.

Blaze is one of my favorite weapons.... iv never had problems dropping players with 1 or 2 shots... chest/neck is always 1 for me. I generally hit those shots with a downward angle.. so that might make a difference

Did I do something wrong? Sniping in the Airfield
twr replied to FrigginTommyNoble's topic in General Discussion
Don't feel bad, iv killed 10 in a span of 2 hours. ;) -
I'm waiting for the .59 to experience the new vehicles... thats about it. i could care less about the zombies, player interaction and pvp is aways where the money is.
-
yea this use to be an issue where if you went into a server too soon before restart it wouldnt be able to find your player connected to the hive and would think you're a freshspawn...
-
the barrels and tents stay on the servers you dropped them. youre on person gear goes with you...soooo if youre carrying a tent in your hands it goes with you.

Call me a fan boy if you will, but I'm pumped!

for those saying its not a big update i disagree. .58 stable is leaps and bounds better than .57 CLE is working, maybe not perfect, but its working and def has my approval. choppers are working, they respawn every 4 hours, and occassionally spawn in loot during that window. they do not need server restarts. barrels and tents are also working. anyone who was missing the above stuff is going to have a great time in .58 -
Global Chat Debate. Green Mountain, and radio's.
twr replied to 97ADU Doug's topic in General Discussion
im pretty sure in the mod the radios located in ATC's served that exact purpose... they broadcasted longer ranges and anyone that still had their radio they spawned with and on the channel could hear it. disclaimer... i never played the mod, just remember one of my buddies talking about it. i could be wrong. -
while i think they will be rather easy to enter.... finding those explosive charges wont be easy... id link them to about the chances of finding grenades... i suppose it depends on what you consider hard to build... a base like the one he showed in the picture should take you at least 2-3 weeks of building/searching for supplies, if not longer... i also liked the idea of your dead body containing a "key" to your base... unless you die right outside of it, the person would have to figure out which base it goes to... i just don't want the charges to be super rare, and need 3-4 just to enter a base, unless they have 3 walls i need to enter. heck, what about crafting explosives out of fertilizer? thats already in the game.... fert + container + gasoline/diesel + igniting system(radio/rag on fire/detcord and battery) could make small bombs (water bottles) or larger bombs (barrels anyone?)

you do you boo boo

lol bingo, have some beans.
-
he probably wanted to light them all around a city or something. dude wants interaction.
-
agree 100%... they need to make entering bases realistic. arma 3 is ridiculous, 3 charges for cinder wall, 5 charges for steel door, 2-3 for floors. 1 charge would blow down a cinderwall, wood wouldnt even have a chance. Hell, water charges are used to "force" down steel doors. 1 charge should be enough for me to enter someones base. 1 charge on a drum of diesel, and their base shouldnt even be there. after listening to hicks talk about bases at RTX i think hes going to make entering bases rather easy. he wants you to build bases out of the way, hidden, thats you're security... not the walls itself... and sure as hell not straight on NWAF
-
people already do that to loot hoard. i know a few guys that have 2+ accounts so that they can go pickup their tents and gear whenever a persistence wipe happens.. more people do it than you would think.
-
dude by the 35$ version... then buy another 35$ version for your friend... you still spend less $
-
if you look like you need killin i oblige you. if i feel like scoping in cherno, i pretty much kill everything with a gun, its ok, you freshies are safe... unless you pickup a gun of course :) i also expect to be killed in any interaction i have, why? well that's how the cookie crumbles.

didn't want to read... this could have been said already... right now clothing does a great job absorbing alot of damage... if you have pristine clothing, you will take more shots than someone who has worn or damaged. same goes with vest, ect.. there is also an issue with desync/ping, some of your shots could have not registered, or, you could have even killed him after you died. iv seen plenty of times where i drop a guy, and as hes falling or laying on the floor he starts shooting and i die. my advice would be to just keep on, keeping on. you will get better with practice, and try to use your brain to your advantage. there have been plenty of times i survived because i ran into a advantageous position and just waited the person out. you can practice your aim on zombies, but there is no substitute for the real thing. get a buddy and travel in pairs.. that way if you die, maybe your buddy can kill him and youll still maintain some gear and not have to start from square 1. your pc could be an issue as well, if you have out dated hardware it makes playing and FPS that much harder, believe it or not, you are at a disadvantage. happy hunting.

this is exactly why i support base building with a limitation on how close you can build to existing structures.
-
the game was terrible for a few patches and saw a sharp, sharp, decline because of it. once they optimize it a bit better and get some decent patches out the population will hit a uptick again. people are just waiting for a GOOD patch to come back and play.

i would rather have basebuilding than have barricading. It will make the game feel like you can build a home. every other bulding or worse would be boarded up and eventually un-enterable. i think the solution is to have the bases where they can be destroyed or entered with explosives. but, it shouldnt take 5 explosive satchles to blow a whole in a fence(overpoch), one should do. real life, 1 block of c4 will create a whole in a cinderblock wall, if its reinforced with rebar, you better have a tourch though. however, it will still destroy the cinder wall. wood doors can be opened with just DET CORD. no c4 needed. make it realistic, and ill be fine with whatever.
