  1. did I understand the twist right: you have to sit there, in corner or bush for 2 minutes without moving, then disconnect? how do you think this game, as full of desync as it currently is, is going to record that you are not moving your ass certainly for 2 minutes? sounds really bad. better idea would be simple countdown before game disconnects.

    Some of the modern warfare 3 kiddies too play like they are ex-soldiers. I´d say, add it! it´s zombie apocalypse! lets make it even harder! killing zombies is already hard enough with constant fatal bleeding from little scratches and fact that if you shoot, you´re pretty much ringing dinner bell, so why don´t we make it hard to kill players? lets add consequences!! in reality there´s always consequences for what you do!!

    You are now talking about repeating crossbow. Do we want, do we need new weapon, CROSSBOW weapon in game just for that we can shoot faster? no thanks, I can find faster makarov or enfield or winchester, much more common than current crossbows in game, frankly I´d rather equip hatchet or crowbar than one of those horros, and this game has already issues, deal with them first, then add extra content.

    No, sounds extremely wrong and it would just minus the effect of removing makarov and five clips from starting. There´s surely better ways to make spawn camping more rare. and this game has already so many desync issues, how do you expect them to do something like that out of nowhere? it´s not as common to get shot at spawn area as it seems, just avoid huge cities like cherno or electro, go to small towns or head to the inland. Simple as that.

    which? shake or laughter? cuz if you shake, you shake so little I haven´t noticed it, and if you laugh, then count me deaf, I haven´t heard such thing even if I´ve been around bandits

    oh yeah, make them survivors shake so badly they don´t have no way to shoot bandits that have killed already so many people and gotten their equipment, and have anyways more experience with the game. More power to powerful. but yeah, I don´t support idea of making anyone shake because of killing other players, but I support other things hinting insanity, like random laughters that can be heard by other players (but not zombies).

  9. 1st one... maybe some blunt axe? lol meh. 2nd one... one of the worst ideas I´ve seen. 3rd one... not good, it doesn´t sound realistic that there is always something on fire. if you don´t like night, then don´t play at night. 4th one... just go find some random bandit/survivor tents/camps that other players set up, sometimes you can find akm´s in those. though those can sometimes be guarded if other players are online. 5th one... there is local chat in game, which you can use if you and your buddy are close enough to each other, like yelling distance. Side channel still works on some servers, but it´s being removed from the game. Good thing, everyone were anyways just using it to ask "who´s shooting at x are?!?" or asking if someone would like to group up, reality being that they´ll shoot you immediately when they see you.

    you´ve killed people in Afghanistan, and you have come back from there to your relatives, family, friends. But in world of dayz, most of the population is dead, it´s end of the world, not just another war, there´s nothing to go back to, no homeland in which you can be called a hero, army boy. I replied to your comment on similar topic same way, but you never replied back. also, it seems you don´t understand that we are not discussing about making it hell to be bandit, we are talking about adding realism and immersion to game. Be bandit however you want, but it really is that right now dayZ is just pretty much call of duty with zombies.

    Hordes!

    I think this game needs hordes. I think zombies are currently too stationary. I think this game needs varied from small to huge hordes that wander to one direction. Just like something what happened at the end of walking dead season 2. compare it to like wave of water, or avalanche or something, idk. One zombie hears a gunshot, it starts to walk to the direction it heard the noise, other zombies start to follow this zombie, then more and more zombies add up to the group as it goes to that one direction. don´t know if this is suggested already, but anyways.

    well, people wanted realism and immersion from dayz, not just another call of duty with zombies, thats why we compare it to reality :) in my opinion this would be nice little way to add it, if done right.

    why you think that they have not taken anything from your dead body? why do you think that your missing body has just vanished? it´s a game/mod. bodies vanish when nobody´s around after time has passed.

    Yes, but we are now talking about zombie apocalypse, where almost everyone is dead, and you are all alone. that´s the setup. this is not war. After you came back from afghanistan, you had your friends and relatives. In zombie apocalypse, you don´t have nothing to go back to.

    Sure, they might do that, but how does it affect them? you forget that Human is social animal, it WILL go insane in isolation and constantly killing others. To what amount? it differs. For playability and thinking that this is game, I think it´d make sense to keep it just voices that arent there and random laughter that other players can hear so that this doesn´t just become some player kill penalty, but isntead part of immersion.

    If characters grew up in this environment, whoa they are blessed with randomly, magically popping cans of food, cokes, ammo, weapons. No, I´d say it´s been about month or two after zombie apocalypse.

    it´s not about punishment. it´s about immersion. last time I checked people wanted this to be realistic, hard, simulator-ish. title makes sense, not all but some what he suggested makes sense.

    ALTHOUGH, if those hallucinations were like paranoid, imaginary noises only you hear, that´d be really cool. Imagine yourself, bandit, at cherno department, you start to hear footsteps. Sounds like next prey! you wait and listen footsteps get closer to you, he/she is right behind corner, you´re already wondering what loot you´ll get... then there´s nobody. then you laugh like maniac to your silliness. Really nice idea!

    because punishing for zombie kills doesn´t make sense like this does. And firing at zombie is pretty much punishment itself, as theres good chance you´ll get entire town after you, and gunfire will give players near you hint of your location. I like idea of random laughters and maybe little uncontrollable movement, but suicide and random firing is too much. I don´t know about hallucinations though, it´d be hard to implement in game, and this game already has enough bugs and desyncs. EDIT: however, I dont like the idea if random laughter affects noise meter, it´d be better if random laughter would only be heard by other players, giving maybe a bit warning who they are dealing with.

    my source is roosterteeth´s podcasts, (I think it was gus or burnie) I clearly remember them mentioning that there have been talk about it. Again, I am just telling what I have heard. but yeh, that´s my source. Could be that they are too just telling what they have heard, and this is just random rumor. However, seeing how big thing dayZ has become, multiplying Arma 2 sells, it´d make sense for BI to want dayZ become part of Arma 3, some kind of thing between mod and standalone, and for team rocket I think making dayZ standalone would be way too huge project, unless they find funding for it. edit: yeh I´ll shut up with this, its offtopic.

    rocket, however, works for BI. I have heard more talk about dayz being made part of arma 3 than making dayz standalone. Making it standalone means making enitrely new game. Do you realize how big thing that is, considering that dayz devs are not currently, at least directly, making any money with this?

    there´s been talk about that Dayz will be part of Arma 3, im not entirely sure if it´s just random rumor, but were that the case or not, he´s talking about pretty much certain future where rocket and team will make tons of money with this.
