I Know a lot if guys who's hobby is to camp high value loot areas for unsuspecting prey to pass by... When I'm bored I make myself comfortable on the sniperhill at neaf on empty servers and I don't have to wait long for some sniper practice...

I always happen to carry a m4 and a mosin and after some time when I want to switch dem I happen to somehow drop one of them without the possibility to pick it up again... I think it happens when I drop the one in my hands and then pull the one on the back to the ground. Then I can see it lying in front of me bit it can't be picked up :( So changing my primary weapon often gives me a good reason to go to airfields looking for new lrs/acog and all the other attachments that were lost.

Cool Story bro... When I shot people I also tell myself they are bandits, server hoppers etc. Helps me get over killing innocent people...

Place yourself on the tower at neaf. Population doesn't matter, a sniper will take you down soon...

lolled hard ^^ should have written it a bit more like in an encyclopedia: Sniper: Person living on hills and buildings overlooking high traffic areas. They spend most of their time lying on their belly, crouching like snakes. Some move that little that you could think they are asleep or dead, but they are just waiting for their ususpecting prey. Common loot obtained from snipers are mosins with lrs, compensator and bipod. Best tactic to take out a sniper is to sneak up behind him from an unsuspected direction and knock him out with an axe

Log out near nwaf and search for a recently restarted server or a nearly full one and look in all the hangars there, I always find at least one, usually 2-3 there

I think it helps a lot if you don't try to make headshots but aim to the center of the body. Thus you can land hits even if you zeroed +/- 100m wrong

I think perma-death is one of the main concepts and thus I don't think it should go the way tents did in the mod. There has to be some system that prevents you from retrieving stuff from a dead guys storage magically knowing its location...

i shortened the quote but i think you got what our problem is -.- it took you more than 10 bullets at 100 m to kill 2 guys. thats a problem for me. i understand, that being one-shoted to the leg with mosin was overpowered and unrealistic but the current system is the same way incorrect.

I used to love the mosin but it has become the worst choice for me since people can take more rounds than it can load to kill (at least it feels that way). Some time ago it was awesome even in close combat because if you hit your first shot everything was fine and you could compete with m4 and sks. But now, in the time you can shoot mosin one time and this single shot can hardly kill a well equipped person, you have 30 m4 or 10 sks bullets in you... So right now I stick to m4 or sks but I don't like them because of their lack of accuracy past 400 m and especially I don't like the sks because I can't mount the lrs and can't attach the bipod....

i can guarantee you find at least one in the hangars doing a run at the nwaf, best done on full servers because people that played the mod are scared as shit so they'll never go there

I believe I cam run from any spawn to a major city or an airfield with primary weapon spawns within 10 minutes... You can run from berezino to nwaf in a maximum of 15 minutes if you don't get lost in the woods

Hero shoot people, bandits shoot people, where is the difference? Btw maybe it was no fatal because in the current state of every single can of beans absorbing huge amount of damage, I believe there are no fatal hits to top.geared players with the mosin

This game freaks me out. never thought of myself to react that way when i encounter someone, but since dayz i happen to expect the worst of everyone:

safest thing to do is going on a full server and looting NWAF. But with just 1-4 Players on the server you'll probably die... because if there are little people on the server everyone thinks "oh how likely will it be to meet someone when there are 200 km^2" but in fact it's very likely because there are only the serverhoppers in high value loot areas (just as you when you join a low pop server) and with many people everyone is too scared to go NWAF because he thinks there are dozen of people waiting for him. but in fact they are hiding somewhere, or sniping fresh spawns or running pantless with an axe on the coast...

Hey i'm sure i read that this is fixed in some patchnotes... So you won't get sick from charcoal tabs anymore when you take them if you're not sick... So i tell you why I took out my axe: I was a new spawn, only had a sks with 9 rounds and no ammo for my revolver. How can I be sure he has no sidearm and will rise. Even if he was a generally friendly player, sure as hell he wouldn't be amused somebody shot at him. as adrenaline was pushing through my head the only possibility I saw was finish him. Afterwards I know I could also have searched him..... So yeah, now I know better and maybe I announce my entering of every building now in direct communication.. or at least try to safe my victim

hey guys, just to clarify, i'm in no case proud of this kill! I wanted to show you that there can be situations where you have no time to think about what to do and just happen to react on your reflexes. I felt really threatened when I was confronted with a person sprinting at me with helmet and tactical west and some woody thing on his back (nobody can tell me that he could have said in 1/10 of a second if it was an sks, mosin or just the baseballbat). furthermore there have been so many reports of people just running towards you to punch you in the face... I don't want to justify this kill for which i am really sorry, but i really want to see someone in the same situation reacting different...

because i just spawned and only had the nine bullets i fired and i was afraid... btw he was not clearly dead as you can hear the "ouahhhh" when i hit him with the axe

right, thats the point why i posted it. i never thought i could become one of those but please tell me you would have reacted different when you encounter someone in a high value military spawn area sprinting towards you...
