    DayZ survivor snooker

As much as I love killing players purely for the joy of it I was quite keen to try out my friends new system, he calls it survivor snooker. If you are familiar with snooker skip the next bit, for those that don't know how the game works heres a very brief explanation. There are 22 balls Cue ball - white = 0 points Reds (x 15) - 1 point Yellow - 2 points Green - 3 points Brown - 4 points Blue - 5 points Pink - 6 points Black - 7 points The idea is to pot a red and then any colour, then another red followed by another colour (colours are replaced after potting if reds remain on the table) until you miss one and then your 'break' is over and your opponent has a go. The highest possible break is 147 which can be achieved by potting all the reds followed by blacks then clearing up the colours from yellow to black in sequence. For the sake of survivor snooker the cue ball is your ammo and the colours relate to any item of outer clothing or backpack for example ... Items that score = Hats Coats Backpacks Trousers T-shirts Shirts Bandanas Shoes, weapons and tools etc don't count. my highest break so far is 26 Red baseball cap - 1 Brown trousers - 4 Red t-shirt - 1 Black backpack - 7 Red t-shirt - 1 Pink baseball cap - 6 Red bandana - 1 Blue shirt - 5 my break was ended by a sniper shot from the cherno apartments lol, Every kill counts and you take the highest score available, the trickiest part is being patient, do you kill the next guy you see even though he's wearing all fucking green? or do you let him pass and hope some pink or black wearing target may be along soon? If by some freak occurrence the player is wearing nothing that scores it is classed as a miss and the break ends, same with your death. It adds a neat twist to the already fun activity of killing players and I highly recommend you give it a go and post your highest breaks here. Happy hunting and keep them cues well chalked ; ) edit - the Karmaterror rule - green = red, red = green. eg green is 1 point, red is 3. Increasing kills as well as speeding up break building.

your genius suggestion has transformed this sport from a slightly tedious grind into a joy filled celebration of murderous technique, just racked up a personal best break of 32 green everything blue backpack green coat brown trousers green trousers black backpack green raincoat brown trousers green backpack black backpack my break came to an abrupt end when boredom got the better of me and I shot a naked freshie with a shovel hahaha, got to work on my self discipline

    DayZ survivor snooker

exactly the same as snooker, unfortunately red is not as common as it could be so it can take a while to build up a decent break but it's doable. really annoying having to let a couple of blacks and pinks pass by while waiting for an elusive red to come along lol. Be a bit more interesting when more vehicles are introduced, they will definitely count so here's hoping we see red hatchbacks.
  5. First off, ok, I can hear the cries of 'WHA??? but it's a 'post apocalyptic survival sim'' whatever you say, it's still an FPS, albeit with added depth, it's got guns and players and is first person, it's got First Person Shooter written all over it and it's still alpha and very far from completion, this fact only serves to prove my argument that DayZ is the best FPS ever made now and it will only improve. What other FPS makes dying so painful? you die and in most cases you lost everything, your loot, your health and your position on the map??? What other FPS makes it so hard to get yourself armed??? What other FPS maes the simple act of killing so difficult??? 40 players on this map??? It's a mission and a half just to find the fuckers lol What other FPS makes you hunt for supplies in order to maintain your character. makes you invest so heavily, forces you to care about living??? What other FPS gives every kill the same level of utter satisfaction??? What other FPS lets you restrain your victims and smash their heads in with a fire extinguisher??? What other FPS makes killing others feel so sweet??? you know how it feels to die fully geared halfway to a destination with no explanation and that makes the act of inflicting death on others all the more sublime. I love PVP, I love shooting players in all kinds of First Person Shooters, you name it I've probably played it and enjoyed killing players in it but I swear to God, no game gives me the thrills that come with the kills like DayZ. I'm no psychopath, I have plenty of empathy, I can symathise with my victims because I get killed all the time, I don't bleat about it, I celebrate the fact that other players are out there, like me just having a ball killing other players, I salute my killer and as I wait for my respawn I replay my characters final moments with a grin on my face, and anticipate my next life with great excitement, will I kill before I die? will I manage to kill several players? what gun will I find, what ammo? will my first kill be melee? will it be with the fists? I cant tell you how excited I get when waiting to respawn. No other First Person Shooter does this for me, DayZ is the best game ever made for killing other players, thank God for DayZ

    I am a lover, not a fighter...

OP gets my beans, I love his approach to the game and it's this type of player I enjoy killing the most. Only 3 times have I been blessed with the gilt edged opportunity to kill a cratfer, when I see the corpse up close with the homemade backpack, the bow and arrows and all that crafty crafter tackle, I swear blind it brings a tear to my eye. A real moment to savour. I'm welling up now, woman pass me a tissue. I wish there were more players like this who put so much effort into the game and who had such a clear vision and ethos in regards to their approach to DayZ, then again the pleasure of killing them would diminish if it became too much of a common occurrence, all hail the crafters and may I have the pleasure of killing another one bloody soon.

is DayZ the best FPS ever made?

I can't stop enjoying it, I'm a PVP enthusiast and just for the record I never cheat, although I guess you were kinda being tongue in cheek with that comment. What a game this is, when my mates told me about it I thought, nah, running about looking for tuna? no mate, not for me then when I actually played I was blown away, 'WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME IT WAS AN FPS?' I screamed? 'What was all that nonsense about survival?' they laughed and said 'we told you you'd love it' and I do, best game I ever played.

    Whats your gear run

I don't know the map well enough to have predefined loot runs, but I am beginning to learn which buildings have a high chance of providing guns and ammo and that is my #1 priority, I eat and drink as and when I stumble across supplies while searching for guns/ammo or hunting for players. For me it's all about the PVP.

    Social psychology

I killed 7 players today and I didn't need anything. I did it because I like shooting people in online shooters and, dress it up as a survival sim if you want, but ultimately, when all is said and done a multiplayer online game that has guns is an online shooter. I never grumble when it happens to me, in fact I usually laugh at my own foolishness, if a player gets the drop on me he earned the kill fair and square, if things were reversed it'd be him staring at the black screen, that's the way the cookie crumbles. Today I enjoyed killing those 7 players, I don't know them, they may be lovely people, they may be strokers, it matters not, for me the fun of this game is to be found in hunting and killing players, I never interact when in possession of a loaded gun, I may interact if I have no gun or ammo but only to keep them around until I am able to kill them. I love the feeling of looking down the sights, popping off a few rounds and watching them drop, it's something that I will never grow tired of. I am sure I am not alone, I think the vast majority of players also love shooting other players, that is a universal truth and no amount of crying or tinkering with game mechanics will change it. Killing players is just plain fucking wonderful.
