Many people want to auto run, but I think it again takes away from the massive size of the map. People will be AFK running...

I think it's a good idea but I would like it to be a VERY uncommon thing. Not for my own gain but, if it happens all the time it'll be no surprise when it happens again. I don't like the idea of having to maintain it really but, if there's a 0.1% (or lower) chance that your round is going to jam your gun upon pulling the trigger, the odd one or two people will have an epic fail moment worth remembering for all time.

What about taking a crap? I mean a guys gotta take a crap, right? All those beans should make you pass gas too. *Sneak by zombie, fart loudly* Zombie: O_O;;*staying away from that survivor*

1) Log in, find your location at the bottom right of the screen... Ask your friends location 2) Visit http://dayzmap.info/ and check for a point between both your locations. 3) Run. Anything else would take away from the sheer size of the map. And the map size is one of the best things on this game.

Because said person might kill you first if they see you. And as such, the kill or be killed rule comes into play.

People play this game very differently. Now I have the stuff I have ingame I am MUCH more cautious about how I play the game. I don't wanna run around shooting at people because I don't wanna lose what I'm carrying. Yeah, I can store things in a tent but with how the servers are at this current time I havent chosen a server yet. Anyway, When it hits beta, wipe away. For now, if you wipe my stuff It'll change how I'm playing the game. I'll play less cautiously as I won't care if I die or not for a while. And I'd rather stay as I am. A wipe for no reason, I don't agree with. But if the devs see it necessary to wipe it for testing purposes, then by all means. Steal my beans. Wiping to get rid of hackers stuff would put everyone at a disadvantage. Why? Because hackers would reacquire the best gear within minutes and we'd all have NOTHING.

Waiting for character to create is technically a loading screen let's be honest.

A method for punishing people who d/c with Zombie aggro is something that should be looked into. But again, those people who are unlucky enough to d/c because of their poor Ping etc will feel the backlash from that. Also if someone has been shot, yes, this should also be something that is taken into account. Once you are hit by a Bullet or Melee Weapon, a 60 second timer should start, if you log out during this time your character would not disappear but remain in position until completion of that 60 second timer. If you are killed during this your corpse should remain free loot for all. A warning marker should appear n the UI to indicate that you are currently in a 'not allowed to Disconnect' state.

And what happens when someone disconnects, through no fault of their own, but due to an internet connection problem? To find that they are banned for 15 minutes each time they d/c due to their poor internet or something similar will turn many people away from game. Use your heads. Edit; And when they get back in the game they are DEAD because some player killed them? :D And stole all their phat lewtz.

I googled this to try and pick up a backpack but.. That didn't work. But I figured it out, Just to make a new point on this, To collect a Backpack now, it seems the only way is by scrolling your mouse to 'Take X backpack' instead of 'Open X backpack' and you'll simply take it. I had abit of trouble when a backpack was piled ontop of some gear. I had to keep aiming around the pile of stuff until i saw 'Open X backpack' and I just scrolled. If you have the same problem, try doing this.
