For the first time in a dozen or so patches, I can see me getting attached to my gear. I can imagine the heartbreak when I load up a truck with all my goodies and die. Not like a hidden tent you can run back to - this will provide great tension, I think.

I wonder if it's the entire town's loot, or just a lot of specifically police car loot. Notice you don't see gloves or car batteries or hunters backpacks or hunting scopes.

You can't (at least I haven't been able to do so). It's bugged at the moment.

Maybe posted before and I missed it, but items in trucks now persistent. I was playing a few hours ago (SC-01). Parked my truck in the middle of nowhere. Just logged back in; my stuff is still in the truck, the fuel tank is full (was less than 1/2), and the truck is facing a different direction than how I parked it. Yea!!

I'm carrying 3. And 2 glow plugs. I gave away 2 glow plugs and a battery earlier, but can't find any takers for these. I've even driven my truck into Elektro, Cherno, Vybor, and NWAF, jumped out, and asked if anyone wanted it....crickets.

I ran all over the NW quarter of the map. I bet I went to 95% of the buildings. Didn't see a single fridge. What are they supposed to do? Just be stationary persistent containers? I did find 2 batteries and 2 glow plugs though!

Yep, but I've seen that several times on EXP. Never seems to carry over to Stable because of the timer on the latter.

Just logged in to remember that last night I got shot by a guy at NWAF. Didn't kill me, but ruined the truck battery in my M65 and the truck battery in my Assault Vest. I am one sad banana this morning.

Bout to jump on for an hour or so. Will be looking for auto parts, but if anyone wants anything tested or is curious about something, let me know. I'm feeling lackadaisical (or hungover) this AM; so could use some direction. :D

I almost always see goats in Vishnoye or Nadezhdino - probably 80%+ In fact, saw them in both this morning. They can be hard to find in he latter though, as they're behind the southern most house, so as you run in, they run into the woods to the East. Good to know. I may have just never fallen out of one before today. My falls are usually multi-story barns and trucks on their side - or, back in the day, before railings, police stations.

I usually play on my crappy PC, but after I read your screenshot thread, I installed it on my high end rig - cranked my settings up per your thread. Wow! It's beautiful. Can't see through the trees anymore with the Alpha to Coverage maxed, but at least I'll be killed in a stunning environment!

For a while, somewhere in .5x it seemed like fall damage had been nerfed. Then, it seemed like it was back; however, I just fell out of a deer stand (had inventory open and was walking around in a square to see what was there at night) and took no damage at all. Climbed back up and walked right back out; same thing. Apparently, in .58 your toon can survive a 6' fall without sustaining substantial fractures and boot damage.

One good thing about these invisible police car lootspolsions: I'm internalizing the location of possible police car spawns. I bet I have north of 1000 hours in this game and I haven't ever seen a car in half these places.

I just hopped on and found small loot splosions at all the police car spawn possibilities I visited.

DayZers must be kinder than I thought. I was playing on one of the EXP servers earlier when one of my builders came and knocked on the door. I got up, talked to him for about 15 minutes, then decided to walk the dogs. A couple of miles later, I'm back, gonna feed the dogs. Fed, kenneled, I decided to shower and go run some errands. Came in here to my office to get my keys, and see DayZ is still up and I'm sitting in the street near the police station in Severograd. Had to have been around 40-50 minutes, at least. I'm alive and well.

I'd estimate that 80% of the people I meet on EXP are friendly. It's probably a function of the DayZ SA Mind Reading system: you want an Axe? You'll never find one. You wan't to live? You'll be sniped on a 6 person server form 800m in the dark. You're just running around checking out new stuff without a care in the world? A guy will run up and ask if you want the UMP he just found.

I wonder if they just got wiped. Instead of fixed. I just found a few floating hats where the police car can spawn in Vishnoye on Southcentral 01.

It wasn't intended to be thinly veiled. Further, talking about something for even 30 years doesn't mean you're making sense. I said: You called me a hypocrite. Either you don't know what the word "hypocrite" means or you don't know what the word "except" means. If you could point to the place where I said (i) KoSers were bad or wrong, and (ii) I'm not bad or wrong, you might have a point. But you can't. Because you're more interested in having a point that being correct. In fact, I said that getting blown up was funny! When the only way to communicate is in writing - like this board, it's best if (i) not only are you careful about the words you use, but (ii) you also think about what you're reading. Did I lose track of what I ate or did they jigger with starting blood levels? I'm pretty sure I drank a soda, ate bacon, drank some water . . . then looked at my inventory a bit later and was healthy.

Maybe you should read my post again, bud. Don't know if you think I was "crying" about KoS, but hard to see how from my post. Also, kinda funny that you claim KoS is a "valid way to play" then tell me I can't do it to test a scope. So just valid sometimes? Interesting. In either event, I agree that if someone wants to KoS, they certainly can. Open world sandbox, eh?
