Thanks for your insightful comments Buakaw, but by that reason no one can ever voice displeasure with the current status of the build. So your point is just noise. And if you read what I said, clearly a tall order, I just expressed a wish. Jesus, I hate the internet smart guys who think they're about 3x as smart as they think smart is.

It's also not survival when it's nearly impossible to die of malnutrition, infected, hypothermia, fauna, etc. Heck, about the only way the "environment" kills you now is lag/desync while changing altitude. This game needs strong infected back in force in a bad way - they never (?) damage your gear anymore, they rarely make you bleed, and there are never more than a handful milling around. Heck, I miss the infected that ran through walls - at least there were a lot of them and they were dangerous.

As others have mentioned, a fully urban map would be very interesting. The "cities" in DayZ barely rise to the level of tiny villages. But, I'd think something really defined by it's geography, like Seattle, San Francisco, Hong Kong, Singapore, Stockholm or, if you don't want to go that large (as that seems like it would be a ton of work) Cadiz. Just something that gives it some natural boundaries and divisions.

Well, if it's supposed to be a trophy, make it better. Right now, arguably the Hunter's is better (larger capacity, with only slightly larger profile). Make the Boar'sPack 6x6 or have a vertical slot to carry an extra weapon. Or just make the whole thing like a giant protector case. I like it. I'll usually make one. But, I'm rarely gonna go out of my way to get it. It's usually quicker to get a Hunter's.

I saw several in .57 experimental. They were spawning at heli-crashes. I haven't been to a heli-crash in .57 Stable ,not have I seen a barrel. They're pretty sweet though. Take up 4 spaces (so fit in jeans) but hold 49. A little OP that way. :D

I up-voted it. And am baffled that they say its the intended state. So, presumably, for balance, they want the improvised leather pack to be difficult I suppose. Seems odd considering some other elements in the game.

CR527 + Hunting Scope - Worth It?

This is exactly what I was gonna say. I've spent a lot fo time with hunting scopes on the Blaze, Winchester, CR, and Sporter. All but the CR are good to go (the recoil on the Winchester always pops your view up and right a bit - but with practice, you'll be back on target in a split second), but that reload animation on the CR taking you out of scope view is painful. -
I was running through the woods last night up north of Severograd. Hear a truck coming. It's also night on the server, so I hid behind a tree. He's coming right at me. I'm thinking, "how did this guy see me in the woods AT NIGHT?!?!" He drives right past me, turns into a little vale, stops. Jumps out. I have a bead on him. He just runs over into the trees and logs!! Thanks for the truck, buddy!

I noticed this recently, too. Chopped one down for wood and was surprised to see the stick leap onto my back. Not sure how long it's been going on.
