That drives me nuts. I went on just now (SC02 again). Looted Koslo, Drozhino, and the S half of Zelno. Not a single round of .308 - or a blaze now that I think of it (haven't seen one all day). Everything else out the wazoo. It's not as if I don't know where to look - my typical primary is a Blaze. I wonder if it can be server dependent somehow. I've checked far too many places today (I've looted 75% of the southern half of the map - bet I played for 5 hours today) for it to seem like just bad luck.

You've seen it since the last exp build? This morning, after the persistence wipe, on SC02, I looted (at least 90% of the spots in), in this order (* indicating that I know I was NOT the first one there): Nadez, Pulko, Pogo, Rogo, Chopper crash, Veresnik Base, Vybor* (about 50%), Lopatino, Chopper Crash, NWAF*, Myshinko Base, Myshinko, Pusto, Kabanino, Cherno (only small parts) and it's burbs, Elektro, Staroye, Guglovo, Novy, Stary (only small parts), Mogilevka (about 50%). I did not see a single lose round of .308 nor any boxed .308. I did find a few snaploaders. If it's spawning, it's bugged. I found a lot of most things, but none of that. And oddly, not a single Mosin.

I understand it's irrelevant -but that's just what I have heard. However, the bug mentioned above (where it takes a minute to perform any action), has made me decide that, going forward, I'll have many camps of only a single barrel. On the S and E, those will be starter kit barrels: vest (high cap or plate carrier with the trimmings most likely), pistol+mag and ammo, boots+knife, food, medkit, compass, matches, and either a long gun or a battery and plug. Further, NW, I'll have barrels with only high end equipment in my barrels - better rifles with mags and scopes, smersh combos, the occasional hunter pack. If I would just spread out the loot that's in my current camp, I could go from beach to fully geared at least thrice. Leaving it all in one spot is just poor risk management. But, I admit, its nice for the pretty pictures.

That's exactly what's happening to me.

Anyone else having serious lag on SC02? I've tried several other servers this morning, and all work well. But, SC02 - unplayable - takes 1-2 minutes to get a menu option to open a can of soda.

It's always one of the main things I look for. Strangely, even though I rarely hunt anymore, and always carry a can opener or improvised knife for cans, I feel naked without my pristine military boots and pristine boot knife. Can't tell you how many times I've risked my life going through tents looking for a stupid knife. Then, when I find them, I put them in barrels with vests, pistol, mnedkits, and food, so that if I die I have a starter kit. Then, when I die, I don't want to use my stashes, so I just go looking for more. This game doesn't make you crazy, it reveals how crazy you already are.

But, with so many people playing.... I look for areas of the map where no one would EVER go. Then I go there looking for tents. :D

I was actually less than 20m from my camp when the servers went offline. Had just dropped everything off at camp. Was heading over to military tents to load up, so had absolutely nothing on me. Was all empty inventory. When it restarted, I just went to the tents. On the way found 3 cop cars. By the time I was leaving the tents, I had a smersh vest and pack, plate carrier w pouches and holster, SPOSN, boot knife, MP5, 9mm, Blaze w scope, battery and plug, and a few other odds and ends. When I stopped to loot the very last structure in the tent city, I got shot in the back of the head. :D

I'm so ready for stable. I don't PvP in EXP. But, over the last few days, I've been shot at 10:1 v. talked to. Can't wait to go slake my rage on mooks in Stable for a while. Bring on the murder!!

Fing and I had a similar camp. Enough for 10, if not 15. Someone found it and took everything but a few of the barrels. Last time I found someone's camp, I left an MP5 with mags and an extra combat knife in boots, and took a bit of food. Left them a note saying that I might use their camp to drop stuff off, if that was ok. Got wiped before I could go back and see if they had moved or responded. Much more interesting things to do than just throw stuff on the ground and drive off with the guns.

I know what you mean. but on the other hand, everyone here can be on the lookout for fireplaces at the top of deerstand ladders.

Booby Trap!! Someone built a fireplace at the top of a deerstand ladder. As I was crawling up, I thought, "is that a fireplace?" Moments later, the fireplace blocking my entrance, I fell backwards to my death. :sadbanana:

There is nothing I like more than stealing someone's truck right out from under them. But, even I felt bad about this one. SC02. Only me and one other guy on the server. He drives up into Lopatino and jumps out to get water. Sees the police car and heads over to it. I've already looted it, so I ran to his truck (he took the glowplug, but not the battery), insert my glowplug, and off I go. only 2 people on the server. That sucks. Still getting the holstering bug, but rarely anything else (very occasionally can't pick items up, but may be tied to my spamming of water fountains).

I've wondered how that works with guns. I've dropped guns on the ground near/in my camps before. They have stayed for days. Does the CLE recognize them as being in player "inventory" or are they hogging up a worldwide gun spot?

I found a boar a few builds of .58 ago -maybe a week? Haven't seen one in the current build.

That was me. I found the far western crash. Hid an MP5 in the trees near 005 063 so I could pick up some of the crash loot (I was already pretty loaded down after coming up form Myshinko base). When I came back a few hours later, the MP5 (and of course the crash) was gone. Only about 5-7 people on the server - seems unlikely anyone looking for the crash would have gone into the trees where I put it.

Agreed. My experience is that they work until it's done. ETA: sorry, should have checked Steam first or read the rest of the posts. It was already out before I posted this
