So I spent about 6 hours in the last few days running all over the NW and SE quadrants of the map (basically covered all of the 2/3 of the map running NW to SE) on a private server I play on frequently (UN Clan #2) - there is just no loot at all (other than dynamic spawns) - a few sodas here and there, the occasional hoe or wellie. I've read (on reddit) that private hives don't have enough traffic (i.e., server hoppers) to work correctly with the CLE as currently implemented. Anyone have any info in this regard? Thinking of loading up my public guy and seeing if things are different there.

The last build of EXP had these exact same problems with lag/camps.

This is almost exactly my approach. And while I don't like to play in groups, the people I build camps with, to a man, are people I didn't kill when I could have, and instead, started a convo with.

So on the camp/lag issue, it seems to be irreversible to an extent. I now have moved well more than 1/2 the camp, but the original location still has the lag - even though it has less loot than before the problem started. ETA: Maybe it has to do with available loot slots. It still has more of those (as I haven't been able to pack any tents yet). ETAx2: finally broke through the threshold. No lag at either site. Gonna have to find another place to put up camp though, as I don't want to add to either. Have to wait til tomorrow, though, trucks are out of gas.

It seems to be just within around 250m. Heck, I was looking for camps earlier by running though the trees with my inventory open, constantly trying to "view contents" of my medkit. When it stalled out, I started searching and circling. But, when I'm no where near camps, things run fine.

fings gonna be mad when he comes home from work and figures out I broke our camp. Especially after I told him to be careful about letting it get too big. :blush:

But there barrel is full and closed. :( If I can get it open, I'm good, I think. ETA: and it's great stuff - multiple MP5s with mags, multiple UMPs with mags, AUG, Blaze w HS, Maxed out Mosins, many handguns, Hicap vests, boots with knives, etc. I'm a dirty, dirty hoarder.

I got greedy. Had a camp with 2 tents and 2 barrels that worked as long as you relogged. Brought in 3 more tents and a load of loot. Now it's daid. ETA: And it's a private shard, so I can't even take it to another server. :(

This lag/camp bug is driving me nuts. I want my 4 barrels, 5 tents, military tent, and 3 trucks all in the same picture, dammit!!! ;-) ETA: relogging had been working, but now, it's completely frozen. And I don't even have the trucks within 500m.

Good lord people, there are more places to hide camps than the forests around Stary Yar. This morning on a private hive, I found 4 camps in less than an hour. And to speak to the loot situation, few had much worth stealing. Mosins, a single CMAG, some batteries and plugs.

A man after my own heart. I laid in the trees E of the Quonset hut @ Myshinko a few days ago on a low pop server and murdered 7 hoppers. Felt good. :D

Exactly! I want people to know it was found, not just items glitching away. Also, unless it's the several full autos, all military gear sort of camp (in which case, I try to rob them blind), I usually only take a small, needed item and tell them my name and that I took it.

Don't be so sure. I went from a 7 yo (at the time) high end rig to a new i7-4790@4ghz, Phanteks Cooler, 16gb of quad channel 1866 RAM, 2x 4gb GTX970, etc., and my performance improved substantially. Can't wait to see how it performs once we get some optimization.

I wish people would leave pens and paper in their camps. I found 2 today. Wanted to leave a friendly note, but couldn't.

Your toon can sprint for hours carrying 60kg of gear in the hot sun, but can't tear up a t-shirt with his bare hands. Makes perfect sense. :D

I've been having trouble with one barrel. But, it was always with a truck down the hill - maybe 60-110 m away (hard to tell when the elevation is so different).

Has anyone noticed that relogging seems to fix the camp/lag issue. But, if you wander too far away from camp, you'll have to relog again when you return. Why would that be the case in either event?

If that's accurate (and it sure seems like you're right), that's horrible. That means eventually, the world will be full of useless loot.

I dropped a bolt quiver 2 days ago that's still laying in the grass where I dropped it.

I set up "starter" barrels - I like to have them with a good vest (hicap or plate+), pistol and mag, medkit, matches, burlap, rope, food, boots+knife, and maybe some spare .308 or Mosin ammo. I put these in the S and E. Right now, I have 3 barrels in place, but not full yet (can't find a damn glowplug, so I'm stuck hoofing it - which makes for slow going).

Yep. CTD after painting my blaze and then immediately dragging it to hotbar. Was able to do it again (found more paint), but want to monkey around with it before filing a report.

Killed by a server hopper in a police station within 5 minutes of joining. Love Stable. :D

I work from about 5am to 11 am most days. So, I may have hit the sweet zone this morning. Done with work as of a few minutes ago, wife just left town for 2 days, can't work out because of an elbow injury . . . who's gonna play DayZ for the next 12 hours? Me!
