So I haven't played in over 3 months, decided I'd try hopping on the game... I join a low pop server, spawned butt naked on the coast, which I remember you at least used to spawn with a tshirt and jeans before, but hey - no biggie. I start running down the coast, find some pants in a house. Drag em to my body... they dont go on. I try all the old tricks I used to know, like opening/closing all the doors to the house, stepping outside and vaulting, etc. Nothing works, so I move on. I find like 5 more shirts/pants along the way, theyre all like that. But hats/masks go on immediately... Is this a thing? I admit I'm jumping the gun b/c I literally just had this happen like 5 min ago. I did 0 research before posting this, haven't even tried swapping servers or relogging... but if this is a thing, maybe I should reconsider my return lol.

This kinda happened to my buddy last night... we were at NWAF, he was laying at the top of the fire station tower b/c he had a scoped Blaze. We hadn't heard any shots/seen any ppl for like an hr, so we were gonna call it a night. He goes to start climbing down, and all of a sudden he says "I'm dead". We heard no shots, and he said he was just crawling to the ladder when it happened... so I climb up there, and sure enough, he's laying dead up there and his pants/boots are ruined, which means he desynced through the floor and died. The worst part was when I tried to pull things off his body, it wouldn't let me b/c even though I saw him on the roof, his body was probably actually a floor down But yea, this type of thing has happened to me a lot. Not as frequently lately, but in the past it was terrible... some notable places it's happened to me multiple times is when walking around the staircase inside fire stations and the stairs to the roof of police stations. It can pretty much happen anywhere you're elevated, although even not elevated you can die... I walked into a chicken coup once and the second I stepped over the doorway, BAM - "You are dead." Sadly, I must report explosions are NOT gone entirely. I witnessed a carpet bomb at NWAF like 3 days ago... me and 2 buddies saw it up on the hill at the NW end of the strip, and it was a good 400 yards out so we tried logging immediately... ended up as freshies on the next server -_- Yay for hackers... I was kinda salty after that one b/c we had just killed a guy that had a ACOG scope and a NATO silencer that I threw on my naked M4 to make it godly, then 10 min later I'm nuked by a hacker.

I'm the same... my friends are the COD-loving type where all they wanna do is grab a gun, go to a high-pop and kill/die immediately (I like pvping as well, don't get me wrong). I personally like running around alone looting, it's relaxing, especially now that there are no zombies around lol.

I remember once like 8+ months ago, I was heli hunting on foot in a 2 man server, and I came across a heli just north of Green Mountain... looted it for a few min, and as I was running away through the field, the one other guy on the server runs by toward the heli, and didn't see me behind a tree. I let him get up to the heli and popped one in the back of his dome :) I also killed the one other guy on the server another time in the Novo clocktower when we were both freshies with shotguns lmao And there have been others as well, so no, you're not the only human magnet.

So I took a 3 hour tour across the top of the map checking those sheds... and I actually did find a hunter's pack in one of them all the way NW at Sinistok. Thanks for the heads up :)

My buddy found one the other day, and I got him the scope for it from a random deer stand. I spent like 3 hrs last night looking for a hunter's backpack though and couldn't find one... anyone happen to know where those typically spawn?

lol Yea, like I said... kill someone in Elektro and they're bound to either have a fully juiced M4 or an AKM with like 5 round drums

LOL I got a bambi in a low pop with one, although it didn't exactly go as planned... I set it up at the bottom of the stairs in the Cherno fire station, and I found a bambi outside... ran around with him for a bit, and then said "Hey, there's usually some good loot in the fire station..." I led him there, and he saw the mine... stopped to look at it a few seconds, and then walked by, up the stairs... When he came back down, I had my shotgun in my hand and I said "Hey buddy, I'm gonna need you to walk back into that corner...." He starts walking into a different corner than where the mine is, and I said "Nah bra... THAT corner..." He got the hint, promptly walked over to the mine, and a glorious explosion occured... which actually blew my legs off b/c I was too close to the explosion lmao. I had to crawl outside to chop a bush down to make a splint, but it was so worth it lol

Lol, this thread topic just reminded me of a moment a couple weeks ago... I was holding down the bottom staircase of the hospital in Elektro, my fresh spawn buddy had just gotten to me, and all he had was a pitchfork... and all of a sudden someone spawned in next to us, wearing a complete paramedic outfit. My buddy instantly starts skewering him with a pitchfork as he's screaming "STOP I'M A PARAMEDIC!!!!" I haven't laughed harder in-game since then lol

Yea I'm curious as well... b/c maybe it's not as rare as you think. Just go to Elektro in a pub server and get a kill, and you'll get all the rare shit you want; fully juiced M4's with like 10 (most likely duped) 60rnd couple mags, SMERSH vest, etc etc.

That's not ALWAYS true... I actually met someone in-game the day the prison island was introduced (so what, over a month ago now?), we ran around exploring the new island and checking out the new loot together, and we've played together almost everyday since then. Granted, that's a needle in a haystack/diamond in the rough kind of situation, but it IS possible to make friends on Day Z

I've found 3 of them since .54 patch; tan, olive, and black. They look awesome and the storage is great, but as was said already, they're not waterproof so I usually carry a raincoat with me as well for when I'm in a rainy server

Yea, again... I should run to the next area and have it be barren as well? Hell no. Why don't YOU do the running around for me, I KOS you, and take it all? It's either that, or I'm hopping. GG.

I just do it to find loot quickly. I mean really... If I ran to a military base to get gear, and there is no gear to get, am I just supposed to say "Oh well, lets hike for another 30min to get to the next decent loot spot and HOPE it hasn't been looted too"? No thanks. I'll go to a server that hasn't been looted, get what I came for, and be on my way.

I'm pretty sure we all get the point, but it's still a tired rant... boo hoo, there was no foreplay involved. Just wham, bam, get looted ma'am. Why would I want to talk to you when all I want is the stuff that you've gathered for me? You're not important, and talking to you will get me nowhere. Killing you will net me more loot to more efficiently survive and kill others with, and that's all I care about.

Seriously... none of my friends or myself can seem to find sunglasses of ANY kind since the update, and we've been all over. I've played probably like 20+ hrs this week, been to Novo, Cherno, Elektro, Berezino, and everywhere in between, and haven't seen any sunglasses at all. I need my Aviators!!!

Still haven't found any sunglasses :( I'm glad to see I'm not just incredibly unlucky though if all of you are also having sunglasses withdrawls

It's good loot IMO, found a black high capacity vest in the barracks first time there, some AK74 and MP5 mags, and a couple pistol grip shotties.

So you apparently don't play the game at all, as I'd say at least HALF my deaths (maybe more) have been by someone hacking.
