Steam won't connect to the internet yet I can access Chrome? I saw on reddit a command you type into the cmd menu and that worked to open up Steam, but when I played DayZ No Servers would pop up. Help?

I've had this same exact problem. Download and Install Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Redistributable : http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/search/result.aspx?q=vcredist%202010&form=DLC Also, download and install Microsoft Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/search/result.aspx?q=vcredist%202013&form=DLC Then Restart your PC. After, make sure you run Steam as an admin though. (Learned that the hard way) If all else fails, JStewart @DayZFeedback, told me to move you Steam folder onto your desktop and uninstall Steam from the control panel then re-install Steam. If these don't work, like Franzuu mentioned, DayZ feedback is a life saver! :)

I got it to work today after running steam as admin. I had to run it as admin to allow the Visual C++'s to install. Thanks greatly!

Happened after 0.53 and still continuing. When I click play, the preparing to launch DayZ appears then disappears and nothing happens after. In the Steam Libary, next to DayZ, "synching" in blue appears for .50 seconds then disappears. Also, in the bottom right corner, where my avatar and "view friends list" is, the blue outline around my name turns green when I click play then it turns back to blue. I already validatied game cache Reinstalled DayZ Installed Vcreditst 2013 x64 bit Removed all launch parameters Attempted to launch DayZ.exe and DayZ_be in the SteamApps>DayZ Really frustrated with this has been happening since 0.53. I havent played DayZ since January. Help?

What does this download do? I don't have admin rights, so I have to explain to my dad what this is. (Im 16 and still not an admin lol)

Yeah, I tried running DayZ.exe and DayZ_BE.exe When I run it on DayZ.exe I get: "The program can't start because MSVCP120.dll is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem. (I tried reinstalling and still nothing) When I run it on DayZ_BE.exe I get: "Exception Processing Message 0xc0000135 Parameters 0x00000 (list of numbers and letters keeps going on)

I've verified the integerity of game files already and reinstalled DayZ and nothing.

I'm on Windows 7, do I still need to do this?

Okay, I got lost right when I opened it. What do I do after I open action center? And no, I didn't edit any files.

I cant because I cant even enter the game.

How would I check if it's blocking it? How do I know if I have a firewall? (Sorry, I'm a complete noob when it comes to this stuff)
