[Video] MP-133 Shotgun (with a pistol grip) Field Test
RanshiTV replied to RanshiTV's topic in Gallery
You won't hear any complaints from me for Necro'ing one of my threads! haha. If you have something to add to a particular topic, I think most would prefer that you necro the old thread, rather than creating a new one (up to a certain point, of course, but I'd say a month is pretty reasonable). I've used the gun a few more times since this video and it generally leaves me feeling underwhelmed. Occasionally, it'll kill a player in one hit if you land it square on their head, but generally speaking the accuracy (especially at any kind of distance) is atrocious and the damage is very hit and miss. Of course, I'd pick it up if it was the only weapon available...but I swap it out as soon as I find something else. It does look pretty cool and it's satisfying to shoot...so I can see why you'd use it as a zombie blaster (especially if it kills in one, which it ought to). I'd still rather carry any other weapon though - whilst I'm no bandit, I like to be able to defend myself from bandit attacks! Killing bandits is far more enjoyable than zombie slaying, in my opinion. Thanks for watching our videos! <3 -
If you want some constructive feedback, I think there was too much build-up (even though it's a short video) to what turned out to be a rather uneventful climax - so I found the video a little...err...anticlimactic. It was a pretty straight forward kill and then the video just seemed to end suddenly. That's just my opinion, of course. A lot of my earlier videos were a bag of a shite, but hopefully they're improving slightly as I make subtle changes based on viewer feedback. :)

haha, I cranked the saturation up in post-production....maybe a little too much, but the game does need more color!

Hey...thanks for watching! I'll shoot you a private message with my steam name, system specs etc. You're welcome to join us for a session sometime.

It turns out people get REALLY mad when I shoot in third person...haha. Sorry folks, I'll try and be more 'l33t' in future! :)

Thank-you, kind Sir. All must bow before the Holy Shovel!

I'm hoping this was a one-off glitch (or distance related, although I agree that you SHOULD be able to hear a gunshot from that distance...haha). This is one of our biggest gripes, actually. I usually play with a friend and we have to call out every gunshot we hear, otherwise the other may be oblivious to it. Usually, I hear them and he doesn't.

Are there any other melee weapons you can use, besides the knife? e.g. can you face-plant the sharp end of a fire axe? What about the tin opener, does that work?
-
Haha, they did make me chuckle. Friendly as you like, but boy did they have taste for human flesh! :)

Thanks, Red! I agree that it wasn't one of our best, but you've got to throw a few mediocre vids out there to make the better ones shine! haha. We've been bumping into a lot of French guys recently - although these fellas were keen to point out that they're actually from Corsica - an island off the coast of France (and actually closer to Italy than France). Corsicans aren't too fond of the French, apparently. :)

Haha, do I detect a hint of sarcasm? Was it really that dull? I'm genuinely interested to know, so I can try and make future videos more entertaining! I suppose this wasn't a high action video, it was more to demonstrate the kind of interactions you can have when you play friendly. :)
