I agree with your method. I just don't understand why people buy an alpha game and expect it to have stability and be overloaded with features.

Don't act like you know everything. I for one have experienced my tent disappearing on my home persistent server. There is either a 50/50 shot that it won't stay, or they don't work all together. I left the server for an hour to got eat, came back and it was gone. The server had just reset prior to me getting back.

Short post. So crating things like a pure survivalist or trained soldier, most people reply with normal people don't know how to do all that blah blah blah. Well what if books could teach you to say, make rope from grass, sew a =insert clothing item= and so on. Bad idea or good? Not to mention this gives books a proper use.

My character is proceeding to cry like a cannible all the time, except ive never eaten human flesh? Could it be a random server noise? or is my character glitched into thinking he is a cannibal for some reason? Its a real pain in the ass because i like to snipe, and that constant crying is just ruining my gameplay. All in all i will file a report, but this post is really just asking, is anyone else having this issue? and if you are, is it possible that a the crying is server wide? Thus one cannibal crying makes everyone hear it regardless of distance? It just sucks because i feel like i may have no choice to kill myself and start anew.

Update. If this happens to you I don't think you should worry. I left to another server and it stopped. Must have been some obscure glitch.

Long story short, I want to hunt helicopters, but persistent servers are bugged to crap with em. How can I go about finding a non persistent one (how do I know if a server is persistent or not besides the server name) ty to anyone who can help me. Gonna go get taco bell breakfast. Just wanted to get a community response in this. I find that people, even well geared people on exp kos exponentially less, is it just me? Or do you lovely people also find this to be true? I would assume likely character wipes on exp propagate this, thus people don't really care...

I have nearly 300 hours logged and have never seen killed or witnessed a scripter/hacker. Yet it seems like the forum makes them out to be everywhere all the time and game ruining.... Am I just really lucky? I'm not bagging on people saying that they ruin the game, I'm just saying they may not be as invasive as people claim. Is this true? Have I just been fortunate?

Have you ever played dayz drunk or with an altered state of mind? I did last night and im about to right now. Well last night i was 6 coronas and 3 shots deep in rum, and decided to play. Got on my geared toon, ran around, looted, then it happened. I saw a guy and in my mind i decided i wasnt going to engage, i was just to drunk for it. Well that worked until he saw me. He proceeded to shoot the shit out of me, nearly missing every shot with an akm, he was jsut spraying like no tommorow, did nothing to me but break my leg, me, ultra drunk, put him down in less than 3 seconds after he began to spray me down unsucessfully. but since i was drunk, of course i forgot to double tap, and he got up and killed me while i was splinting up. GG. And in the end i concluded playing dayz drunk is a great idea. PS: some people really suck at aiming, i owned a guy that started firing at me with an automatic gun before i had my weapon drawn, and in the end he did kill me, but in the real cqb area, a very drunk man, destroyed him in combat... sad ;(

Short post. I ran up the tower in Novo. There was a guy right in front of me. He wasn't moving our anything and had nothing drawn. He was just there. Then all the sudden my legs broke shirt got ruined and I heard 2 gunshots. He still hasn't done anything. I then killed him. Wtf happened? I mean i killed him and lived, but what in the world happened?

*disclaimer* This is more of a cathartic post than anything. Well. To start off, i generally play with a group who commits banditry, but solo i generally do not. I was fully kitted out, and ran into a newspawn. he asked me not to shoot him, i told him i wouldnt, he seemed like a cool guy. We ran around for 3+ hours, got him fully geared and chatted on our treks across the map. In the end, after 4 hours of chillin and talking.. He just shot me in the head, and while unconscious, he told me "dont trust anyone, bitch." and proceeded to finish me off. I then proceeded to stare at the "Youre Dead" screen for atleast 5 minutes solid. So i came to the conclusion that now... Everyone i see is going to end up in a body bag. :| Im not raging because a 100+ hour character died, or that i lost all my gear that id had for a quite a while. Im rather salty only because, if i really couldnt trust someone whom i played with for over 4 hours, and talked to nearly the whole time, who can i trust. I was anti KoS for a long time (Once again, im a very nice person when i play solo, and even with my "bandit group" its usually just handcuffing and having fun) But now i completely understand why it needs to be done. Getting killed by a newspawn thats found a gun is one thing, but helping someone for four hours or so, and talking about all sorts of topics, then being shot by them? Its kind of disgusting. PS: Tool that killed me, i hope you like my gear, and i hope you get fed multiple bottles of disinfectant. /Endrant

I did actually run into the old man zed just north of electro/cherno area. IN THE MIDDLE OF THE WOODS. He is a freaky lookin Frutha Mucka.

Its happened a few times to me, ill be looting and going about my buisness, my character no longer responds to my commands, it spins and crouches, it runs, all sorts of crazy stuff. Not my pc, and my ping was fine, what the heck is this? +it also constantly causes me to pull out my fists and punch.
