That's a nice little run :) I haven't done the any deer stand searches for a few patches now though, i just use them as a reference point.

I am hoping we see things in the future like abandoned camp sites with shit strewn around, doors ripped half hanging of the side of the caravan. Car on the side of the road with a flat, jacked and ready to change out, bags in the boot (that's trunk for y'all good boys) , bloody dried smear marks on the quarter panel, drag marks into the forest. Pile of dead infected outside the door of a house in the middle of fuckbutt nowhere, more inside leading up some stairs, busted down door at the top with still more in the room of the owners last stand. Dog bones on the floor where his faithful companion stood by him to the last.

4. Meet, be wary of each other , move on. Happened to me heaps. No conflict and no teaming up, just a tip of the hat and move of to wherever we were both going.

From the X .. tempted by the closeness of Balota i would probably head in and check the hangars and the tower for a weapon, do an about turn and hit the apartments in Cherno (backpack mainly, but beans and water bottle as well)) and hospital (morphine) then straight up to Stary/Novy area by way of Zub to begin the heli wreck hunt. The Kozlovka/Zeleno/Vybor run is tempting from there as well.

^ I do generally come in from the East with a scoped gun, you can sus out Sniper hill and the rest of the town for zeds from behind a nice little rock pile below Pop Ivan Hill.

You need to find your own tents, you can loot others and then hack them down with an axe if you want or just leave them and take what you need. Once you pitch your own tent you can pack and move it as long as you are alive, once you die and respawn you lose the repack ability. That Fal you scored is a beast of a gun but you can only find ammo for it at heli wrecks so it can be a burden.

Came back to say this as i forgot it in my op, Frag as ever on the ball. Vanilla is killa :) and yes, it is Hetfield..with a splash of Mustaine.

Once you get in the general vicinity of Stary roam the open plains and hills in nice big arc, look for the tell tale smoke of heli wrecks and always keep an eye open in the forest for tent stashes. If you look at the Chernarus map and draw a diamond from Vybor to Gvodzno/Berezino/Mogilevka- within that diamond, mainly in the open field areas is where you will have the best chance of finding wrecks and your hoped for sniper. Stary, and the barracks at NW field are your next best bet but the adventure in exploring the map, finding vehicle spawns and small out of the way towns is awesome. Never..ever, do the heli run without 2 x morphine :) Get away from the coast, it's a hole ;)

How does having no weapon spell the end of your life ? I cruised through Elektro yesterday, hit the shops, the top of the hospital, the pub, the church and finally the firestation where i found an mp5sd. All the time drawing and losing aggro and not getting hit, infected or dying. The funny thing is the amount of people i am now seeing dead with only a weapon and no ammo..it really has skyrocketed . i don't think many people are adjusting to the new zeds very well at all.

Every dev or mod maker needs to go in with that in mind which is why i have been such a fan of Rocket so far. He did not make the mod to appeal to the masses, it just did. You should put a sign on your wall Razor.. ' THIS GAME WAS NOT MEANT FOR MAINSTREAM CONSUMPTION ' ..and don't deviate from that.

worst thing is when you are at the top of the map, geared to the hilt, eject when that happens , run back and you only find flies..no body.

After a few days playing on this latest patch i would say (imo) that it is definitely heading in a better direction. Nice work Razor and crew :thumbsup: the zeds have been a joke for so long i forgot what it was like to be worried about them, and the loot was so plentiful i could be fully geared within under an hour of play and sitting back with a multiple choice of weapons wondering which sniper i should throw away. much better señor.
