Something like this, loot respawn in the mod was feckin' terrible and once we get persistent stash spots it will be back to 'yawn..got 20 of every gun in game...' If you cannot find enough gear to survive in the first thirty minutes of the game, either the server is busted or you are still looking along the coast. Where the feck is this hard game i am looking for ???

One thing you need to understand is it doesn't matter how much would get taken away, death will still come even if it is on the form of throwing cereal boxes at each other :) They can add every item known to mankind into the game, and take away every gun or sharp implement, death will still happen. Death... will still happen.

I decided to ditch my backpack and run light the last week, as long as i have a can opener and bandage and a couple of rounds..good to go. Don't have to worry about sorting stuff out, swapping things out..do i really need this over this etc.

That was one comment made in the middle of a four hour interview :) What I'm referring to there, is that I see DayZ as having elements of the "ultimate multiplayer experience" but I was discussing with the interviewer all the things that I did not think were perfect about DayZ. We were discussing the ways in which I believe the concept - the core design - that I came up with is flawed. There are things the game cannot do because of the way I designed it. These are important lessons that I take heed of. However, they don't detract from the game at all, and indeed to change these would dramatically change the game and not necessarily for the better (for example: I could just be completely wrong). The DayZ game should head in the direction it is, but any future game I make should take into account what I feel are flaws in my previous design(s).

That is a really bad example :) People who couldn't see the game was super dodgy from the get go have only themselves to blame for throwing money at it (yes this includes you :D ) A few minutes of research before throwing your money at your screen always does wonders. Rocket is still in a major role for ten months, not having a hissy fit on the forums and also not lying and banning players and forum users.

Yes they are :) i was just thinking with a ground up build and Deans vision it could be a well more complete product out the door, for what he wants it to do. As much as the bi and DayZ team have done with what they it has been one of the best gaming experiences i have had, but damn..so many glitches and bugs that still need work after so many years :) It is like some of the bad stuff is built in so deep and it just cannot be made right. One can dream.
