I was once chased from Kamenka to Berezino by three zeds, i think that was 1.7.4 in the mod when the zeds would never ever lose sight of you.

I am not about stopping banditry in any way or form :) I just think the zeds (in their hopeful final polished form) add just enough to make them worth while. Maybe if they actually made the ..i dunno..hard..then we can lose the zeds. Atm it is a cake walk to survive, and i'm not talking about holing up in the woods endlessly either. The game is just simply very very easy. There needs to be some sort of environmental danger added, wolves, dogs, snakes, random bears..something other than just people to keep one on their toes. I'm not a big base building fan but i can see it is something that many want and something that should be doable in game, i just hope we can't construct big persistent forts and crap that take an hour to build. Give me a way to scale a tree with a crappy tree limb ladder and make a little hide and i will be sweet.

Found one in the hangars at NEAF a couple of days ago.

Take out the zeds and then it just any other fps, on a bigger map. We all know they are not hard, but they still add to the game. No zeds in town, someones been through , or is someone still there ? That quiet moment when you turn around and a zed is right on you. The annoyance of having zeds fuck up a good stalk when you are trying to be sly, or the opposite . spotting someone stalking you because a zed rushes them. Watching players without weapons trying to deal with zeds etc etc. No game mechanic makes players not instantly kill. If anything, having a big built up base and shit will encourage insta killing.

I am hoping this will materialise and come through with the goods for a medieval fix. May check out Tibia later..i'm a bit of a graphics whore though :D

Are you right near the beach still? See if you can get someone to meet you as you spawn in and pop a cap in your head..might help.

Find a server, grab a can of noca cola or some beans or whatever you can find..duct tape. Wait a minute after you have put that item in your inventory. Make sure you are in a safe place when you log..no zeds..no people. Log out. Log in. Do you still have that item? Yes- remember server..stay on it. No - ditch server..repeat steps until Yes.

These are the two things that have kept me here from the start...well not long after anyway when i was impacted by my first death and realised... here was a game that was not like the others. Finally. Yeah i'm a Rocket fan boy Gonna need a defib !
