Have you been part of many Alphas ? It is moving along quite nicely, we are not even six months into the public Alpha yet, sure there was the mod, and pre alpha testing..but this is the official Alpha we are all playing now . Of course there are fast Alphas..and a ton of shit games released that can attest to that. Give me a decent tested Alpha that takes at least a little bit of time over half the shite on the shelfs and in Steam atm.

I can run max settings on 4gb ram, albeit resolution at 100% not 200 . Maybe once it starts slide showing/stuttering etc he may be hitting mid teens and dipping into under tens and even the ridiculous couple of second lockups. Lowering settings to lowest possible and then working up from there whilst in a city would be the first thing to try. With only 4gb ram you need to have a look at background processes and trim your machine down as much as possible, if win7 you can get it down to about mid 700mb at desktop, and check up to date drivers as well. If 32bit hit me with a pm and i can show you how to set up the 3g switch to use more ram

Plenty of people get away from the coast, i agree that a lot do stay and beat each other to pulps in the pvp spots but leave them to it if that's what they want to do :) Too many get jaded early on when they realise it isn't everyone holding hands sharing warm pipsis and watching butterflies. But 99% ..not a chance. And like any gaming forum, you gotta sort the wheat from the chaff, sort of like in game.

Once again, sounds like your playstyle is letting you down and you are being dictated by the way other people are playing the game..instead of playing around that. You have that chance for rp, every time you enter game. It sounds like you have been killed a lot and are extremely frustrated bro, like i said a few times..i think you need to look at your playstyle and wonder why are you getting killed so much ?? Welcome to Dayz Again..welcome. Hey...welcome..and thanks for the kind words. Sounds like maybe you need to change your playstyle ? Don't bring a knife to a gunfight. Yes..we are all pathetic, but please..do continue. Why ? There are hundreds and hundreds of vids or people role playing on standard full pvp servers. Once again, thanks. No matter what you do, what is implemented, how hard it is to survive, how rare bullets are..you will still be killed by someone. If there is the ability to strangle you with a daisy chain of sunflowers..then you will be killed. Once you fully realise and accept this you can change your playstyle to adapt. IGN ...who ? Is that joint still going..jesus.

Nice and amusing :) I didn't even think about moving morphine around so cheers. We find by logging out and logging back in at about the same time we end up with a very similar dusk/dawn light. Playing a couple of hours ago my partner went into night whilst i was still in good light so we both logged and voila, both in the same night mode.

I find opening a ton of web pages or running a few programs in the background whilst playing dayz somehow forces less memory usage. What am i not getting here ? This is after a few days of constant task manager monitoring. I did a whole lot of other screen grabs but these two are enough to show what i mean, and it is consistent every time. edit : If i leave the game to run it slowly climbs to the point where i get a ctd and memory usage is about 2.70-2.90gb (windows uses 750mb on my pc and i am only 4gb ram) the game is still in background and i can tab into it and hear and move but i am looking at my desktop. Never had this in the SA until the latest patch and now it happens every session i play.

I have no idea, that's why i posted :) I am win32 bit so only 4gb ram and using the 3g switch which forces windows to use 1gb for kernel instead of 2 thus freeing 3gb for other applications. Normally it is split 2/2 on 32bit. The thing that i am wondering about is why does dayz drop so much in memory usage and run perfectly fine but then slowly creep back up to the point of crashing ? Here is some more pics i did last night in a decent session which show from the start of the game and how even a single zed can spike and affect memory usage. Related pic series with notes If you see when i was 12 minutes into game i was using 2.54-6gb , after opening a bunch of tabs, fraps and photoscape and then closing the tabs i jumped down to 2.16gb of usage for quite some time until it slowly crept up. On a system with only 4gb ram from that is quite a jump. And like i said, i have had nearly no crashes with the SA, until this patch, which are now frequent.

PP in games looks like i just woke up after a huge night on the piss after swimming in an overchlorinated pool.

He was doing ok.. ..until he took an arrow to the knee.

Ashwood stick plus rope makes bow and there is the crossbow as well now. I used my one piece of rope to make the backpack and in two more hours i have not found another to make my bow. The hunt continues for my wanderer. He lives on 40 pop servers though so i expect him to be snuffed at any minute.

It's hard to go back after 200% res, i can run it fine in the wilderness and small..very small settlements but cities are a no go. Even trimming settings down and running 200% res with all on low is nicer than 100% on high.

Can't wait for the pushy ! I am not a big fan either but still there is no reason not to include them and they are a big draw with a lot of the fan base.
