I have helped a few new spawners get geared up in Cherno and been rewarded by not being shot when i directed them to a gun. True story :) One guy ended up following me around like a lost puppy dog after he was geared up and i had to lose him in the hills when he kept following me. Last i saw of him he was doing 360's in the forest looking for me. Poor bastid.. life is hard in Chernarus, and lessons are brutal :)

It has been stated many times that you will not be banned for picking up a hacked weapon, only for hacking them in. I have seen a couple with people i have killed , i simply hide the body and their gear so no one can come along and get it, i couldnt be bothered playing with weapons that are not meant to be in game, i will leave that for the pretend players. Check the dayz wiki for a weapon guide. after a little while of playing you will become familiar with what is in game :)

You should do the singleplayer tutorial missions so you can get familiar with how your gear works, how to move/run/crouch/prone etc, how to use the weapons/reload/aim/sight/zoom etc. Once you get comfortable with how the arma gui works (it is quite easy once you do the turorials) then you can change your keys to where you are comfortable. I have all of my keys based around the arrows so i am not searching the keyboard when in a tight spot..The four arrows are for moving , numpad 0 is crouch, right ctrl is stand up, end key is vault, numpad 1 is prone, right shift is 2x run, page up and page down are zeroing, enter is open doors, - near numpad is wide view. Right click on mouse is run/ walk.

Totally, they are going to be randomly left everywhere in the bush where you cannot see them , around deerstands etc. Don't ever travel without at least 3-4 morph :)

The horrible bloom is because you need to disable Post Processing in the Vidoe Options. Esc>Vid options>advanced. Blocky textures, unsure..could be a few things, video card drivers or try lowering your settings in the above advanced settings maybe.

Seriuosly ? lol but anyway..at least you apologized for being a twit :) Cool vid Ace, i am a crap sniper, it just isn't in my make up..i am more of the assualt type guy who needs a sniper backing him up :) I may play around with the trainer when i get home though and see if a can get a bit of competency going. Axing snipers on the other hand... :D

Tuggo sums up the whole thread :) Nice shooting..bet your heart was pumping just before you pulled the trigger on the first shot. :D I have managed to only have been sniped twice in two months of playing and i have no vendetta or hate against the snipers, the map is well big enough for it. Without snipers and bandits the whole Dayz experience would be boring. Wether they loot or not is up to them, who cares ? Like the OP says he plays it his way and thats about the end of that. To me the three guys come across as newbies who had never been to Balota before and were just checking it out like a happy little bunch of kids running free at the beach..surfs up! Unluckily they took no notice of the sharks signs and were promptly eaten. Bet you next time they will test the water before they dive in, lesson learnt.

Agreed, some vet servers have 3dp on and ch on..how is that Vet ? Atm the recruit/reg/vet/expert does seem meaningless.

I made it from Cherno up to the field last night..only my third visit in two months. I was ping kicked when in the treeline near the southern barracks, then made it back in on another server, managed to crouch about 5 feet and was kicked again. my last attempt, different server again, i made to the outside back of the barracks and was kicked again so i decided on waiting until tonight to try again ..man am i taking my chances when i log in tonight :D Weird thing is first time i made it all the wya up to the barracks, i could not pick up an M16 on the ground but i could pick up random other stuff. I dropped my AKM to swap it for the M16 , AKM disappeared and it refused to let me pick up the M16. Luckily i had an M14 in my backpack so i left and headed for the hangars, Found an AK74S that i could not pick up either. I left the server (BRA2 vet i think) and when i respawned at one of the US expert servers i was back at Vysota, obviously there were some major desyncing issues or whatever but at least i had my AKM and M14 on respawn..made the journey back and then the whole ping kick issues started. Hoping for a better night tonight.
