I have no luck with the fuckers. I have found about three in over two months, scored an FN FAL at one, sfa at the other two. I am probabloy the worst guy to be posting in this thread but from what i have read the best places are in any of the open fields once you get towards the top two thirds of the map. The heli crash map seems to agree, do a search for it, it is still up everywhere on the net and the dayz wiki, but they are a random spawn.

qft Berezino Zelenogorsk Solnichiny Pogorevka Pushtoshka Castle Zub, Rog, Devils castle Deer stands Elektro and Cherno are ok for gearing up quickly, get the basics then gtfo.There is a whole other world out there once you bail from those two sniper ghettos.

Yeh dunno, i tried the proggie for a while but it seems random, sometimes i get no servers out 1700+ , sometimes i get 6-10 sometimes i get a hundredish, sometimes i get the lot. Not bagging the proggie, it just seems very hit and miss atm. Last time i tried it a few days back i got 20 or so servers restarted it and then got 0. Six finds all the servers all the time so i will wait until Commander is a bit further along, seems nice since it has the filter options. Maybe its to do with your change log ?

i would say you shot her in the head. .. or of course some random guy shot her whilst she was unarmed with no supplies leaving you as an armed and dangerous person with goodies in your bag to just walk out into rainbows an sunshine and a chance to get payback on him .. which is more believable ?

I wonder if he had nvg's though, sounds like no seeing as he ran over you not long before. When he spots you with a hatchet following him..course your going down :) You may have been 30 feet away when he spotted you, and you are not going to get him from that distance but what was your plan ? Were you going to hatchet him or ..? He has to think you are, he was probably thinking...thank fuk i saw you when you were still out of range. Your going to get killed a lot sneaking around behind people :D I will observe, try comms, only kill if they are close and i feel i will be found, especially someone creeping around behind me with a hatchet.

No worries Digital, we have all fucked up somewhere along the way, fuk me, i have heaps, you want a book ? lol. Its what you do afterwards that counts. Hey it might just be a game but still , we wouldnt all be here if it didn't mean something, even the ragers :) There have been a few guys here that have put up some good post's i thought , they should give you some faith in people, even on the interwebz..just gotta sift past all of the kneejerk reactions, sometimes it can be oldskool , like the maniac crowds at a witchburning :D

Back in the day CoD used to be a good game..what was that 2003ish ? Before the developers destroyed it with achievments and all of the other crap..the hackers totally destroyed the online fun. It went to shit. A lot of games and simulations also went to shit and became unplayable because of script kiddies/ hackers whatever you want to call them. By hacking you are helping games be destroyed. So you spawned a few crates of guns only for yourself. doesnt affect anyone ? People come along, find the crate get the gun..pew pew..they die and lose the gear, what about when they want it back ? Hmmm.. maybe they decide to spawn their own box to get their gear back because they have never had the (insert righteous gun here ) ..and it is easy too right ? It does affect everyone. Games become unplayable, servers go down, sometimes genuine people get banned. Luckily enough i have not come across a complete server death, fireballs, weapons crate, been teleported or anything else yet in dayz, yeh yeh..fuckn touch wood ! I am pretty sure that eveyone who does not hack does it because , basically..why? As soon as you do the challenge is gone. you just fucked your own game by making it a zero challenge. Did you buy the game just to beat it as quick as you can any way possible -or for the enjoyment you hope it will bring and getting past the obstacles set within ? Might as well play poker with 5 year olds once you start cheating, it has the same benefits. 0. All cheaters ..because thats all they are, there is sfa in the way of skill used, they may all sit around and pat themselves on the back, but it is just cheating. Pure and simple. Want to get to the end game instantly, want the highest score on a server, want the best gear, just want to grief..whatever. Lame as fuck and shows their low view of themselves while trying to elevate it in the eyes of others. The other side is us guys who do not cheat, the affected. We end up not playing games because of the cheaters, i would not touch another CoD or Battlefield game with a ten foot pole because of the ruination of the series by cheaters, but i dont wish cancer on them or death, that is just a kneejerk and childish reaction. Yeah they suck..but death or cancer..lol ?..our useless system wont even knock off pedo's or murderer's , and cheaters are nowhere near that. You earned your ban, you piped up and put it out there, i can respect you for that, your post is a lot more readable than many of the inane rubbish and rant posts you see on this forum . You definitely stirred up a hornets nest and it should make you aware of how bitter people are towards others wrecking their leisure time. Laptop, and oldish. Mid range card , not much grunt coming out of your gpu, probably going to struggle man :) Best you could do is to make sure she is running lean, minimise your background processes, make sure all of your drivers are up to date, lower your graphics settings, overclock your gpu and card and see how she runs.

In the beginning we were just doing the whole collect , shoot zeds like mad, journey around a bit but we always seemed to get stuck around the coastal area with one of us getting injured/ dying and having to wait for someone to respawn/ or come and fix the wounded. We were caught in the helltraps of Balota Cherno and Elektro, sure we trekked up north, grabbed some better weaponry , rode around on some bikes, did an ATV tour, ended up helping as many new spawns as we could by guarding them while they gunned up in the coastal spots. Then we made it our mission for a while to take down every barbed wire door blocker we came across, which we still do. Current objective we have is to get a total of 1000 zeds each and i want tosecure myself a DMR , i have never made it past about 180 odd, even in the early shoot sprees, and i have only ever managed to find one DMR which was just recently lost to a connection issue whilst i was swapping out backpacks.I would like one again for the scoping/recon/overwatch ability . 1000 may not be a lot, but we are not just going to be sitting back plunking zeds from a safe distance, we only nail them if they are between us and what we want and we are in a hurry,or if they are aggroing on me or my small group. Atm i am only at 285 and on day 9 i am hoping to make the grand without dying, had some close calls with zeds, been sniped at NW field and nearly bumped into a whole clan in a forest who never saw us, was touch and go whether we would try and take them out, steal their gear, but we decided life over one or all of us going down, plus my lady said they may have been a bunch of good guys (yeeeeahhh riiight :) ) So this is our latest goal, 1000 zeds each plus a DMR for myself, my lady is happy with her close support Kobra. My mate i generally travel with is at 200+ with something like 20 days , he is the overwatch lad with his trusty DMR (bastid ! ) , my lady is at 72 zeds with 9 days.alive, she is my close in six watcher while i am generally point. We have a nice little routine going and dont rush in where Angels fear to tread so i have hope for our goal. Between us we still have a total of 0 murders which is something we would like to keep as well, unless its a kill or be killed situation.

Up to 305 and still alive, been a slow night :) Funnily enough we were talking about swimming over to Skalisty the other night. The boats look as slow as a wet week plus finding fuel ..probably quicker swimming :)

Morphine. matches.knife, hatchet, water bottle, they are the only mega essentials for me. After that i like to get a Mak/m1911 an AK Kobra and and at least an Alice. Thats enough for me to survive till whenever. Everything after that is just candy.

Q. possible to have running waterways ? creeks etc or is that a major rewrite of map/code etc. Q. What are some of the extra building mechanics..could we make a lean to shelter instead of tents to save equipment, make a raft etc. Q. Chance of getting a magazine jam or a barrel blockage ? Q. More wildlife ..crows at dead bodies, cats, dogs in cities ..very rare chance of a bear ? Q. Actual supermarkets with a lot more items instead of the tiny corner stores ? For instance you could change to hiking boots and grab a proper outdoors jacket to combat the colder conditions at night. Q. Chances of an overflight by a military plane..just cosmetic for atmosphere. Q. More carnage in the cities, the streets are too clean ?
