Hi retard feeling newb guy who has no clue. I would suggest browsing the forums as there is a plethora of posts contained within that will help you out in all of the areas you ask advice on. To make it easier on yourself i would suggest to run through the ARMA tutorials that are part of the stock game. This more than anything will get you used to the game and how to interact with your backpack and items. Talk is through direct chat, 80 metres and people can hear you or 40 metres range and they can see your typed text, it is hit and miss buggy though and more than likely you will get a cap in the forehead. Dont cruise around Cherno or Elektro and expect much help , refer forehead capping. Hatchet is your friend as it is silent and deadly but requires a reload once you pick it up so you can deploy mad axe skillage. Do not waste your time picking up the double barrell shottie. It is not your friend. Read the forums. Do the tutorials. Dont come back and whine in a day about how everyone is killing you and you lost your gear that took you hours to collect. The forums are overfull of these inane posts already. Watch, observe and learn. This is not run and gun and achievement driven, and hopefully never will be. enjoy :)

can you even get a mobo without onboard ? Are you sure you do not have onboard sound ? There is basically no need for a soundcard these days unless you are an audiophile. The difference you would notice whilst gaming would be neglible at best.

I was thinking clip was slang for a pistol only magazine maybe, i was never really sure. I have also always understood that a magazine is a place ( i thought it was just a ship term though and didnt relate to land storage) where the ammo is stored. Guessing the Barham was not a fan ;)

Direct works randomly. Players within 80m can hear you, within a 40m range they can see your text. I say randomly because we have tried to use it in our small group and they can see the mouth animation but a lot of the time they do not hear anything. Same with text..sometimes works sometimes does not. Definitely not a good thing in a tight situation. We bailed from the in game comms and use skype or ts, i have tried direct a few times when other players are near but very rarely get a result so i assume they are not hearing me either.

Do not go anywhere without at least one morph in your ready to use items and a few in your backpack. Crawling for an hour sux the big one.Morph imo is the most important item in the game, especially if you are a lone traveller. Try to always stay above 10 thou blood, when under be more wary. Zig zagging zeds aside..when they are chasing you if you look over your shoulder while running, you will see when they get close they go into attack mode, turn quickly and headshoot them , you have a few seconds while they are standing still. Dont go anywhere without morphine. Zeds get through walls , its a glitch or whatever..be aware of it always :) When in buildings stay the fuck away from walls that give zeds the chance to get at you, especially if they know you are there. Dont go anywhere without morphine.

God i'm fukin immature..i lol'd :D ...If only it wasn't so true, i have lost count of the amount of AK's i have had to leave scattered around while people are struggling to get a hatchet. and did someone up there say crawl...crawl into Cherno ? .. If you just absolutely positively have to go to Cherno to get a gun..or Elektro, hit the place like a mad bitch on her monthlies looking for a man to scorn. Hit all of the obvious places like the fucking Flash, get in and out , dont worry about the marathon of zeds trailing you, duck , out and around buildings only stopping to pick up a gun , preferably a winnie or dinner bell and score a pistola as well if you can. Everyone disses the Mak but it will headshot as good as any other gun in the game at close range. Lead your little trail of dedicated followers to the nearest hill and pop them. You should be able to score a weapon in under two miutes once you get to the outskirts of either of these two sniping zones. Of course if your game plan is to hang around and enjoy the pvp fest then you need to go sneak mode..but crawl..fuk no. All you are doing is giving everyone a good zoomed view of your ass sweat as you prone towards a sure death.
