Bored player is bored player. Boregasm. Plenty of challenges in this thread for you bored player, try and start a medic team and help out..only equip yourself with a pistol as self defense, you will be carrying so much first aid equipment you will not have room for any other ammo anyway. Create a safe haven settlement. Stack meat, drinks and non pvp gear in tents for people passing through. Create a vehicle stash and tell people where it is then govern it, tell them only one car per four people. Try and control that with a small group ..there plenty more you could do but i need to go home and have a friday night alcoholic beverage with a side order of salad. ;) PvP is not end game, its just the route people go down because they are so used to it in our gaming culture. enjoy

I think it is just that a lot of people have had their fill of games with vehicles with weapons hanging of them, they dont want dayz to take this direction. I know i dont :) Not saying it is unrealistic to be able to put a vehicle like this together when you are on a map that has military installations...i just think it would start to take away the feel of what dayz is. If things like this are implemented then of course people are going to clamour for more hardware as cars sit outside of Cherno or wherever just strafing away..what ? thats not gonna happen ? My ass. They will just be pvp tools and that is all, of course you will be able to kill zeds with it..but who the hell is gonna waste the ammo on them ? Very few. It will be like watching Black Hawk down with a side order of Zombieland. Not that i wouldnt want to watch that movie..i just dont want to play it.:)

Buit how long does it take for an unarmed noob to end up being a standard pvp'r on the coast or a lootcamper at NW airfield ? My guess is not long at all. The no gun at start stops everyone automatically killing each other at the beach, instead they have to spend 5 minutes making it to the closest city befoe they can begin blasting holes in walls, signs , windows, people and very occasionally zeds. The best thing is it initiates total newbies to the game , it shows them how to be stealthy and can even be intimidating and scary. Introducing even a melee weapon means most will just run like mental cases and axe as they go..a weapon takes away that initial feeling of any sort of paranoia/chance of defense. When i started playing dayz we had the mak..then later it was taken away. Of course by then i could get around a lot better than a new guy to the game , but it still brought in a whole new way to tackle the game at the start, and for mine..it was a big improvement. Just scrolled up and read Frys post..got it in a nutshell...have my beans man :)

Rub shoulders with the beefiest beef on the airfields or get down and dirty with twinky noobs on the coast. PvP in the cities to your hearts content,hook up in churchs, hang at the local pub or take a chance finding a partner in the hospital..will he be beef and sort you out or will he be a noob who lets you take control Become an expert in the usage of the slinky mak , the shiny black military torch or jump right up to the throbbing AS50. Pimp around with your mates in sexy european buses or get up close and personal with your teamate on secluded motorbike rides into a forest of your choosing. Will that be a one man tent or two ? Watch adorable fluffy bunnies hop around gaily and observe goats with long tongues..and mouths that never close... are you man enough to step inside the open ended world of GayZ ?

Dont drop them near each other and dont swap out on the floor in a building. If i am doing something like this i will go outside, find a nice clear piece of ground with no grass, drop my weapon..step back and make sure it is there on the ground with the ammo. Then swap my other weapon from backpack to on hand, then go back and pick up my first dropped weaopn and chuck it in my backpack. Havent had it go bad yet :)

Its only a char, what you are risking by not playing an alpha is a total wipe of your char at some stage anyway. Finally logging in and seeing the screen...choose your gender.. Play die play die , report bugs. play die. Its only pixels man :)

If side plating/adding armour was added as an option it should take over an 30 minutes to do the required welding to add it to the vehicle..thats 30 minutes of your char sitting their doing the work, plus finding the required plating, a welder and enough gas to weld. It shoud not be a ..find plating..5 second magical fit. Rockets..rockets should not even have a place in this mod.

Yep, true that...parents can be good at teaching you how to be and how not to be a good dad/mum..i know, i also have a herd :) ..and started paying rent at 16 as well ..but that was because i was earning my own wage by then, not because my old man was an asshole. Steps can be a whole different kettle of fish.

With the OP on this too. I cannot join Ausie servers because of the 100 kick, sometimes i spike to 120-150 odd so i use the US ones. Never had a problem with a lot of them and sometimes my ping climbs to 300 ish with them. I see stuff all problems with lagging players and others running with me see no laggging so i dont understand the low kick argument. A certain flight sim i play has many more calculations per second than arma ever will and when you are sitting on the tail of a 400kph plus fighter plane with another in turn on yours then lag or lack of warping becomes extremely important, i can join and play on US AUS and NZ servers with this sim and have no troubles at all so whats the go with dayz low ping kicks ? Heck , i have jumped in and played with guys in dayz that are over 400 and many that are 250-300 +. Not everyone is relying on mum and dads paid for top of the range broadband ;)

fixed it for you :) Unless you want to get stuck in the pvp shoot on sight, get out of the coast. Seeing as how you shot the first guy you saw, it seems that may be your place though . Its the loop.. ' i was shot..now i am going to shoot everyone i see ! ' Plenty of places to find gear and have more of an adventure than the two cities on the coast..either way enjoy, its a cool game. :)
