Meh..therer is a lot of pvp , we as a small group dont do it and still meet people we either help or just let pass..obviously helps when you are not solo and have a few more eyes scanning but even playing solo i manage to interact with at least half of the people i meet without getting shot. Maybe its because we never play regular servers ?

i have been killed in Berzino once in nearly three months, compared to the deathmatch towns it is paradise.

TL DR crew..what are you doing in this thread ? ..wall of text posters..same. ;) Broke one of my rules..don't run around in the middle of fuckbutt nothing shooting every moving thing like a happy gun retard when you are miles from a hospital and have no morphine. Me and my other half were just West of NW airfield when we last logged. Our mate was all the way over above the NE airfield..so we decide to hook up in roughly the middle at Gvzodno We have empty water bottles and no other drink so decide to quickly hit Petrovka and see if we cant get a coke. I spot a deerstand on the way and head in..fairly open field so i pop one with the dmr, agrro a few of them , switch to my 1911 pop the rest. Head to the stand and hear another zed real close, turn around and smack..crack..broken bone etc. Cap him and crawl off to the deerstand , no joy, crawl to the tree line. 8000 odd blood, eat a steak. Now i know chances of morph are sfa but my partner heads to Petrovka for a look , my mate is pissing himself laughing over ts because he knows i have noobed out. I ask if he has morph, yeh of course i have you tool he says..i will meet you in about 15-20.We are chatting while listening to her say no..no..nil anything. So we tell her to head down to Grishino and have a dekko (look). My mate shouts out suddenly ..piss off you stupid zed ! ..bang bang bang..oh fuck off ! I ask what is goin on (it was about 20 seconds of shooting and him carrying on like he was being ass raped. He tells me he came over a small rise straight into a stand and cleaned up five zeds ..last one busted his legs..*snicker* My partner is like ..well i cant shoot for shit- she really cant- but at least i can run..i tell my mate to sort himself and keep coming. Then i hear..Ummmmmm dude..i got no fucking morph ! Wait..what? you said you had morph ?? Yeh well..i always do..but i aint got shit it seems ! It starts to rain..i lol. My partner says she is upping her search mission to include 2 x morphine and some painkillers because we are making her head hurt, she is heading towards Grishino. He is at Black Mountain..eastern side and i have now crawled to about a midpoint between Devils Castle and NW airfield..hoping i may get lucky and get a morph spawn there. Still it rains. So we chit chat about how awesome our latest adventure is going and general bullshit..crawl crawl crawl. My partner heads to Devils Castle hoping for a random spawn. She gets hit by zeds ( she really is a shit shot ) and runs inside and bandages ..we ask if she is actually shooting at them or just pointing the gun and making pew pew noises..next thing we hear from her is... ohhh fuck! Ummm guys...i just fell off the stairs in the castle..wait up..i,m gonna make it.....'Parker is dead' comes up on screen..me and my mate hold back laughter pretty hopelessly. Yep im dead she says..really ? we say. She spawns at Kamenka. Destination Cherno hospital. About 15 minutes later i make the Castle, my mate was crawling around Gvozdno when he decides to turn around and heads for Berezino lol..i start spam crouching the stairs into the castle ..find her body just inside..grab some food for my starving out char and then get comfy for the long wait. Hey where are you girl.. Near the Cherno hospital Parker is dead. Where are you now? Spawned at Elektro.. Sweet ..do a mad hospital run and head up.. Parker is dead Outside Cherno Parker is dead Komarovo..running to Cherno.. Hey ! i found my other dead body !! Parker is dead. Ok i am at some place called ..oh fuck i didnt catch it...shovy.. soliy or something .wait up..i see a light..yay its a torch! Maybe they have morphine!! Parker is dead My mate makes Berezino..cant see shit because of the graphic glitches. He calls it for the night logged out in the treeline. I have spam crouched up and down the castle and i am now losing blood..wtf..my medical icon is flashing and i am at 6500 odd and dropping fast. I eat a tin of food, drink a coke, take some painkillers..nada. Last resort i eat my only antibiotics i have seen in ages..been hanging on to them for a long time since my last char got sick and i could not find any. Still losing blood..this whole time my partner is telling me to bandage..i am not bleeding though i say ! I bandage..blood loss stops. Fuck. She suggests spam crouching popped my broken bone out of my leg.. Parker is dead. I aggro some zeds and go down shooting with my 1911. I spawn at Komarovo..my partner spawns outside Cherno..i tell her to wait in a bush. I run through Cherno grab some beans and drink, not one morph in the tents or the hospital..all tins and bandages. We run to Elektro,,same..no morph,,tins ,bandages, epipens and painkillers. We head up to Devils Castle, stop near a Guglovo heli wreck and score an m14 aim and fnfal..run run run..finally make the Castle, both our dead chars are still there we grab our gear, nvgs,gps etc. We log at the castle..still no morph. 6 hour and 20 minute session. After all of that we are about ten minutes away from our original starting spot..with the same gear :) Was a pretty cool sesh with not really a lot happening.

I always do and generally you get at least 1 thats is stacked full of stuff,,this time both hospitals and the medic tents had cans,bandages or painkillers spawned around tha box so needed to be lotted first and then we would have had to wait for the respawn. Sometimes i will fully loot a drop the stuff outside so the bext guy who comes along get a fresh spawb but most of the time i just cruise on and find the next spot hoping for the goodies. Ouch. Indeed.

Dont get attached to your gear..dont get attached to your gear..dont get attached to our gear. I don't. But then i got this guy who has been alive for a while now, he went for his first bicycle ride, swapped it for an ATV someone left parked in a fence in the middle of buttfuck nowhere. Has journeyed to all four corners of the map with minimal gear. Just enough to hunt and eat and take out a few zeds here and there. We have built up a repetoire me and him, we understand each other, we know what we ae doing. He knows not to go near the bone breaking rabbits, he isn't greedy and doesnt lootcamp, he takes what is available and moves on. He spies on others from the bush and lets them go by in their own fashion. He avoids rocks and ladders if he can., he never swims past his waist. He is a good sort. So i trekked him to Berzino , time to trade in the AKM ,hopefully, and upgun a bit. Lying prone for a bit he spies out the military camp. All quiet..no zeds. Crouches in silently, first tent..AK74 Kobra, nice..drops the AKM. Next tent, GPS, lovely ..never had one in many months. Third tent ,bandages. Fourth tent..DMR ! Sweet, have not even seen one of these in all of the months i have been playing. He has to dump some gear to fit it into the Alice pack , shuffles some stuff around and is happy with the end result. Water bottle dmr and mags in the Alice, morph, ak mags, painkillers and beans on me. He decides he would like a bigger pack, Berezino..might as well hit the shops and apartments and have a dekko (look). Before that he runs away into the forest line and susses out the new hardware, gps is cool, trendy even. Sitting in the treeline he pulls out his shiny new gun. 2 x 20 mag clips, more than enough. Sighting down the scope a new world is revealed from afar , what a cool toy. He spends ten minutes just looking around, changing position , sighting zeds. Lines one up and pops off a shot.Shot goes long, next shot is short, next round the zed collapses. Going to take some practice this thing, plenty of time for that. Ok time to go look for Coyote. Down into Berezino again, into the apartments, nothing i need except some beans that i hoe down on and crack a can of coke, i fucking hate pepsi. Into the shops, apparently they were having a watch sale here because they are everywhere. I know there is a deerstand nearby so i head up to it , getting sleepy now and could not be bothered fucking around too much more so i take out the zeds around it and clamber up..could it be ..well fuck me, a Coyote backpack. I never have any joy at these deerstands and now i find a Coyote just when i need some more space. I climb back down , run a short distance to a small bush, drop my Alice pack, Look around..i look down at the alice..wavering..fuck..i feel naked without it. Dash back full sprint to the deer stand , climb the ladder, look down at the Coyote....session lost...what ..no.. No...NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO. click click click click. Back to six launcher, load the server..wait wait wait wait wait..load load load load..sweat sweat sweat..stars..blackness..i'm back in. Still in the deerstand..no Coyote..no anything. Check my gear. No backpack. Poo. Climb down and run to my bush..no Alice pack. My eye twitches. I stay crouched for a minute ..he remembers the feel and weight of the DMR , the lovely view down the scope. He sniffles a bit , wipe his nose, crouch runs off into the treeline, avoids a rabbit and settles under a big fir tree. A smile creases his face, then he laughs. Damn..so close. The adventure must continue though, he must find another DMR ..and a Coyote, and another water bottle. He pops his last coke for the night, mungs on some pasta and gets ready to rest. It starts to rain.

whatever you do on ..dont buy a budget off the shelf like that dell you linked in your first post. :) waste of money. Like said above, speak to some of the sales people and see what sort of decent rig for your budget they can put together for you. If you could possibly squeeze a gtx560 and an i5 into your budget then you are well on your way to medium/max settings. You dont need a mega board, gigabyte do some really good budget gaming boards.

Found a tent and a tractor on the West side of the map the other night, tent was in an open spot on a hill..obvious sniper setup..we checked and only four others on server so took the risk and one of us went out..woodpile in tent :D Took the tractor for a lap then parked it back up with some fires going around it.

I think the inventory system is pretty easy really..point click..point click, yeah sure it has some bugs , but it is pretty intuitive and basic...but then again i come from the simulation side of things and dont do too much on rails fps type click kill click kill stuff. You tend to have a lot more patience with clunky systems in simaltions v rail shooters. You want to see a total humungous fuck up of a sim..try a game called Cliffs of Dover. That thing will make your fucking hair grey and your teeth fall out , instantly. Poor optimisation ? That game has it over Arma in spades. Remeber silent hunter 5 ? fuck. me. I'm pretty sure BI never thought the game would ever get the sort of audience it now has and the guys that are interested in it and have been playing it for years are quite happy with the smallish tight knit group they have (had). It isnt the casual gamers game or the masses either..the curve is too steep for a lot of the gamers that want a run and gun fest. Cod and the battlefield series deliver that in bucket loads. Now that the game has blown up and you get people jumping in that never would have looked at the Arma series everyone is up in arms about how absolutely crap it is and how the inventory works or does not, its too hard omg worst game ever. I am not saying Arma originally was not a bug riddled crash fest..i tried it for weeks before i gave up on it years ago and threw it to the cupboard pile..but there is worse out there. Arma definitely has something about it though that is hard to match. I hope for fucks sake they dont dumb it down too much to satisfy the masses.

Have you ever playedFallout3 or New Vegas ? it goes to a place where Arma would not even be able to dip its toes. But yeh..original arma was a fucking huge pain.Worst ever though ?..not even close.

I think a dog will add to the game..if you want it to. If you dont want the dog just cap it or leave it alone. Should be interesting to see how he implements it. I mean if you see a dog heading out into an empty field chasing a rabbit then straight up you are on the ball thinking there is a player somewhere within range. Follow the dog with scope and find the player. Send your dog ahead into a town to aggro the zeds then head in from a different direction to loot.it. People get overly attached to their gear and char, why not the dog ? It could end up being a vital bit of recon gear that once you know the mechanics of it, then it becomes a very useful tool. Alt f4 and the dog stays in game because you did not have enough time to save it. If you have spent a heap of time training the dog up to a point, then alt f4 does not become an option for people who previously used it without a second thought. I'm looking forward to how it will all work. Plus there is always the chance of an underground dog fights betting syndicate ;)

nvidia... ..just shit stirring ;) One thing..you do not need an i7 to run the game on max, an i5 will do it fine but you can throw money out the window if wish :)
