Well not at fucking all actually. Spawn at Balota, enfield and maks going off near the hangars like a middle eastern birthday party. Hang back for a bit protecting my bandage and painkillers near the military camp, 2-3 minutes later and silence so i crouch in to have a look at the carnage. Couple of flyblown dudes in hangar 1, steal another bandage and score a morphine. Morphine, sweeeeet. Thats all i need to to survive this shitstorm.I suck it down. Have a look in the tower..sfa, but i take an empty whisky bottle so i can lick the lid later. Head out because some other random runs in and brings a fleet of zeds with him, i throw the bottle inside with him, smashing it against the wall and run to the warehouses east of the field. Some dude is in hnagar 1 with an svd and says hey you got any Morph ? A dude is down with busted legs not too far away. Oooops. Ummm no man i haven't seen any. He is shooting zeds with his svd..i round up the 978 he has aggroed and draw them away from him leaving them dumped behind various trees and bushes. Cruise into the warehouse and there is old mate prone on the floor..i say..'you must be the dude with busted legs ? ' He says 'yeah man..quite annoying.'..i agree. I check the other warehouse and sip on a coke , he crawls in ak74 out. I tell him some dude is looking for Morph for ya man, if you want i can do a quick run to Cherno and grab him a fix, he says nah fuck that, i will give you my stuff if you want and go suicide. I tell him, dude ..will only take me 20 and i can be back, but he has already dropped his ak74 and ammo and is heading out the door on his belly. He crawls up to two hoppers and is promptly attacked, i watch from the doorway and listen to his screams. Say goodbye and enjoy your death. After thje carnage the guy with the svd cruises over and i tell him what went down. We go over and check his stuff , i find out his name was Matt..forever now known to me as Suicide Matt. Svd lad and me decidie to head to Cherno so i can bag him as he is at 4800 blood. Which we do successfully. But my mind is occupied by the screaming of Suicide Matt as he lay there compliently having his face eaten. I only knew you briefly Matt but you sir were a true lad. Your ak74 took out a bandit several scenes later so all was not a waste. Suicide Matt. A dayz Boss with no fear.

The trash one is good and great for immersion :) Beanz my man. I often set up a few little fires in out of the way places and leave them in the hope that someone will come across them and get a bit jumpy, wondering if anyone is around.

ahhh to bathe ones sore trekking feet in the holy dew and ponder poor Matts sacrifice. If we get spray paint in the standalone, this is my first task. The old stories of people who passed. I totally do not understand the sense of your first suggestion at all. People will just camp the coast and kill people who are spawning at the coast..who have good gear and will be trying to kill the campers at the coast. It will be like a monotonous Normandy invasion...that never ends. With a static front. And then a moderate increase in loot in the second suggestion ? I thought you said hardcore. I must consult the beans before i am forced to slap you with bacon.

... i admire your comittment , but as a very wise man once said.....Choose your battles wisely. After all, life isn't measured by how many times you stood up to fight. It's not winning battles that makes you happy, but it's how many times you turned away and chose to look into a better direction. Alt f4 is of course never an option. Living to fight another day always is.

Sounds good, there is not enough hardcore servers around these dayz. Coming from locked in pit, no icon, online flight sim servers the first person in arma is like coming out of a small box. I really don't understand how people find it any harder than the usual first person views in fps type games, but that's just me. 3d totally takes away any immersion , especially when i know people get unreal views like looking over walls and around corners. Anyway, will be interested when you get it up and running. :)
