    Flecktarn, not flecktran

I can't believe no one reported this yet. It must have been in for ages. On another note that's what I always think about the bugs I find. Haven't filed a single report in over a year of playing... Edit: Yeah, missed Evil Minions post...

    Flecktarn, not flecktran

Yes, after looking it up, flecktarn seems to be a fixed term for this kind of spotted camouflage. There are a few armys that used, or still use camouflage based on an earlier german flecktarn designs. Still no idea about copyright issues, the gorka stuff is designed and named properly though. So if OP hasn't filed a bug report yet, just give the word and I will.

    Flecktarn, not flecktran

Yes! Finally someone agrees with me! I'm german and this bothers me everytime I see the damn thing! Anyway, the pattern is exactly the one used by the german army, and it's called "Flecktarn" there. But, without having any deeper knowledge about that matter, I don't think the name is copy righted. It feels more like a unique name for that kind of pattern, like i.e. paisley. So please please please file a bug report! Edit: @ sRacS: I don't think I ever heard camouflage translated as flecktarn before. It would probably be "Tarnung".

MP5 least practical weapon in game?

This was posted on reddit, like a week ago. I think it's for 0.54 stable, not sure though. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1Fw8hSVGHOwQ5WLVtQQQPZlolnWMviIopSVlSVRNb-Yg/edit?pli=1#gid=0 Someone above mentioned it already, damage is dependant on the caliber only. But either way, gunfights are so unpredictable at the moment, that choosing a gun on minimal stat differences like MP5-K & AKS-74U seems like a wasted effort. Just pick what you're most comfortable with, or what fits your caracter best if you're roleplaying. The best way to come out on top is still being smart, vigilant and careful.

    "Ctrl + x" must not be like "x" (!)

I don't know about that, mate. It isn't treated like pressing "x" only, but rather like all keys together. With the current system you can pull off stuff like throwing yourself on the ground while sprinting (Shift + y) or look around, all at the same time (Alt). So, yeah, the DayZ controls definitely need some time to get used to, but that's all there is to it. And if the devs decide to change the system after I played 800h with it, I'll go mental...

    Ghillie suit discussion.

I can confirm that every piece except the full ghillie suit can be spray painted. That's the reason I stick to the ghillie bushrag for now. But it'll probably be fixed with next patch, maybe even today. The only encounter I had was with a woodland bushrag and hood on, in the middle of a field next to the mil base in Zelenogorsk. A guy with the same camo was standing next to a bush and turning round and round, looking for something. I was looking for crash sites and only saw him when I was maybe 30m away. Quickly held up my hand, F1, thinking he already saw me, but he just turned and turned, while I stood in the middle of the damn field without any cover. Pulled my AKS and shot him then... So... if you're standing still, a ghillie can save your life.

The PM 74 RAK is it a good gun.

I can confirm that it's actually in game. I'm playing on stable and found it maybe two weeks ago on those Mi-8 crashsites. It was invisible or below the grass or something and I only saw it in the vicinity window. Dropped it though without firing a single shot, because finding a mag is probably a similar pain in the a**. Haven't seen those yet.
