Make the Infected (Zombies) harder to deal with ______________________________________ Playing DayZ, I feel like the game is mostly around PvP, which makes sense I guess. But I would love if zombies were more important, as in much more dangerous and hard to get past. Some ideas I had were: "Zombie Speed Boost" Currently, if you just keep sprinting away from Zombies, they never catch up to you. I was thinking of a way where the zombies get a temp speed boost, going at speeds that will quickly catch up to the survivor. Things that could cause this speed boost could be: *Gunshots coming from you or ahead of where your running to *You are bleeding *A small chance of it randomly happening *You are typing a certain amount of messages or using your mic for a period of time in Direct chat *Anything else that I can't think of I think this would make survivors be careful about alarming zombies, as they would be able to catch up to you if you're doing anything that could trigger the speed boost. "Add "Hunter" Zombies" Some zombies should be the ones that actually go out and hunt. Instead of just spawning somewhere and wandering around that area, some spawned zombies should immediately start sprinting towards the area of the nearest player, no matter what the distance. These types would spawn much more frequently if there are gunshots somewhere in the map. "Zombie tackling and grabbing" Sure this has been suggested before, but zombies should be able to grab you and you'd have to push your movement keys a bunch of times to get it off. (This was seen in a DayZ concept video I believe) It'd add much more tension and make the survivors not get so close to the zeds. Getting grabbed from the back, you wont be able to see him, but getting grabbed from the front, it'd be right up in your face, biting at your eyes and snarling and making other fucked up noises. "MAKE THEM SCARIER!" Make these bastards a lot more scarier! Scarier than the players! What I'm talking about is random horde spawns, much more scarier noises (Just imagine a zombie snarling a fucked up noise as it comes closer to you, it'd make you panic and be like What the fuck) Speed boosts, as I mentioned, and a lot more animations for them. Scary ass, fucked up animations, movements that if someone sees they'd want to stay away from an infected acting so fucked up. (Flailing arms out of no where, incredibily odd behavior) For the hordes..I'd love big ass hordes, the stuff you see from the game Left 4 Dead..It'd be amazing. Gunshots going off in a city, all of the sudden you hear a roar of infected. It'd add so much more to the gunfights, hell, it might even make both sides unite and fight off the infected together. Another thing that could be added is huge ass mobs of zombies wandering, or slowly walking, to a certain area (For example, that herd you saw in the Walking Dead). If a survivor suddenly goes up a hill and sees that, just imagine their reaction xD (Sorry If I'm repeating stuff a lot). Certain addable decorations and others _________________________________ When I say this, I mean objects that players can add to the world for other players to see. For example.. "Head on a Stick" Survivors could chop off a zombie head or survivor (If they have the right tool/weapon) And stick it on a decent sized stick they found, and place it somewhere on the ground. Just imagine stumbling upons a scenery where the town is covered in heads placed on sticks. It'll be freaky. "Grafitte" Players, if they have the tool, spray can or paint brush whatever, could paint/spray on the walls their own words. "BEEN LOOTED AND ROBBED" "BANDIT LOCATION, BE CAUTIOUS" "FUCK OFF" "BANDITS, FUCK YOU!" Etc. "Dolls/idols/other placings" Players could craft or find idols or dolls or other, and place them somewhere in the world. It'd be creepy stumbling upon a group of dolls in a house or a hospital, or finding a body surronded by dolls, candals, and idols. Updated* "Brutal" Death animations _________________ Mostly just to add more detail and Oh Shit moments to players watching someone die, it'll be nice to see some extra, awesome death animations. What I mean by this, Getting shot in the neck that results in death would make your character fall or stumble back, gripping his neck with blood gushing out, and gurgling noises coming from him. Then after some seconds, he falls over and dies. Getting riddled up a bunch of times in the chest/stomach, it'd be nice to see your character fall on his knees with blood gushing out of him and then hunching over, faceplanting onto the ground.
