    Stable Update 0.61.136770

Ok yeah I agree, but it's still a bug. And he disconnected after we sat there for an hour using 3 E-Pens on him, he didn't wake up. No one unconcious seems to wake up. I put it on the bug tracker

    Stable Update 0.61.136770

Unconciousness is beyond fucked up. My friend accidently got punched by me and instantly knocked out, his health was totally fine. Used an Epen on him and he didn't get up. He tried reconnecting after I tied him up and untied, and then his body disappeared and he had to respawn. It's extremely game breaking and really shouldn't be in stable imo, status indicators and whatnot should of been fixed in exp before reaching stable.

    Inventory overhaul

Personally I agree somewhat. I prefer the basic grid system, I've always loved it, I just think it needs to be more responsive. However I think the items themselves should still have weight, and the more weight you have the slower you travel/or stamina decreases faster (if and when they add stamina). -- At first I fully disagreed to your idea but then I re-read it and looked at your example, and I like it. Having a grid system+a capacity system seems like the way to go, as well as allowing item stacks.

    Impossible To Have Fun Anymore

I agree, loot needs to spawn more. Also agree about the damage system; dumb how easily items get ruined on someone, i mean don't get me wrong items getting ruined from damage should still happen but the rate of it is insane right now. Items becoming ruined from bullets and melee should be a very low chance, it should go to damaged or badly damaged more commonly. I'm still having a blast though, I love having interactions at places like Cherno and going on a murderous killing spree with a trusty splitting axe with some pals ruining someone's day.

    Three Things YOU Still Want

No man. Something like this would ruin DayZ.

    Three Things YOU Still Want

Gore Smooth, awesome Zombie AI that's actually a threat Clunkyness to be entirely gone (new player controller is something I can not wait for)

One and a half years later....

Blah blah blah see ya buddy.

    No loot in .60

Remember, items spawn in clothes sometimes now.
  9. Imagine if some day they could add a block\parry system with melee, or a shove. Would be pretty amazing. Of course tho, I can't imagine something like that with the current desync issues..

So whats the deal with the Zombies?

Watch this video dude, this is in the current 0.6 update. Devs have talked about this. Hordes are coming, along with better ffunctional zombies- they have already fixed them going through doors and hitting miles away, they can run in interiors, meleeing them is a lot more responsive (they stagger back and stuff), and they can climb over walls and fences now(you can see this in the video). Just wait man, in the future, we're gonna experience running from 50+ zeds down a street in Cherno..
  11. I haven't heard about what I'm about to say, so I'm gonna suggest it. Finding CDs. In towns, such as apartments, some loot could include CDs that could be used on a radio/inside a car radio that would play music. (Not 1 CD that players a wide selection as music; A variety of CDs that plays a few songs/albums) There was a suggestion about a radio that plays music, but a CD would be much more realistic, and if people were killing for a drive with music than they could go hunting for a CD. Would be useless to some players, but would be nice for those players that would want it. Would add a variety to the game ;-) Sure, you could just open up youtube and listen to music, but this could be used for other reasons. Placing a radio in town and blasting music outloud, survivors near by would hear it and perhaps be attracted to the sound, and the person playing it could be friendly and just looking for some friends. (Dumbass scenario but possible xD) OR when the time comes when zombie respawning is a bit more realistic, a radio could be placed in town to attract most of the zombies at the town to the radio, so you can kill them all easily without clearing the town out by going everywhere. There could also be some type of CD that plays music that relates to bandit actions, lyrics with "I'm gonna fucking blow your brains out and take your shit.." which could keep other players away from such areas with this music playing.

An idea for when vehicles come..

Cassetes actually sound much better than CDs, and seem to fit with Chenarus a lot better.
  13. Mr_Joe

    The BIGGEST suggestion ever.

Awhile you're waiting for it to come to Xbox, if it does, you can invest into getting a PC. If you don't get it, its gonna take quite awhile if it does, so long that you could probably get a PC before it even does come or a decent PC if you have a crappy one ^_^

    Open can of beans with....what?!

Just imagining a survivor crushing open a can of beans with a sledgehammer and quickly throwing the sledgehammer behind him and making a crazed face and crouching down swiping at the can and the beans all over the floor and shoving it in his mouth.. Then another survivor walks into the building hes in and just stops, wordless.

    My first experience

Don't be saying stuff like this from just playing as long as you did.. Your first experience sounded funny. What makes this game fun is the number of assholes in it. You must overcome the assholes.

    Tupperware

Good idea! You have my beans. Would make the game more realistic and challenging for trying to make a good surplus inside your backpack/pockets.
  17. Nice idea, but I think instead of text telling you what happened, it could be actual art details. Such as gunshot wound decals, cuts decal, zombie scratches decals on the body, etc. Perhaps even blood puddles/blood splats decals on the floor and wall. Good suggestion though, I like it.
  18. Mr_Joe

A real good suggestion before people move on!

I've heard that apprently the devs are going to add more content first and then get to bugs and correcting. They are working hard you know, it may not seem like it. Just imagine what DayZ is going to look like when it's finished, just give it some time! It will be amazing. (Also its not october anymore; it's november) But yeah, just give it some time. Play it, try to find bugs, whenever a new patch comes out play it and support the dev team. When the time comes, the full game, I bet all those people posting shit at the dev team will look back and be like "What the hell was I thinking?" And of course, they are going to fix the zombies glitches. Hell, their gonna fix everything. Just keep on waiting, lol.
  19. Global chats imo would ruin the game a bit. I wanna hear people and talk to people that i encounter, not people somehow talking to me miles away. With only the direct chat, it adds to the apocalypse, you realize you really are alone until you encounter someone.

    Chokeholds and other moves

In DayZ, theres not that much to do when you encounter a danger other than use your fist. I was thinking about chokeholding.. It could be used on the infected, since they are just infected humans. If used on human players, the player being choked has a timelimit (not displayed) due to how healthy he is. The player being choked would have to mash a button in order to escape, however it would be a faster process if he was healthier than the person choking him. After the not known time limit, the player being choked seems lifeless in the guy's chokehold. The guy can either: Put him on the ground and loot or leave OR keep on choking him, because he's probably just unconcious. The player, awhile being choked, can also fake going unconcious from the chokehold or fake even dying from the chokehold, this will get non-careful players away. Other moves could also be there, maybe such as kicking and tackles. anyways, if a healthy person chokeholds a non healthy person, theres a good chance, a high chance, that the healthy person will suceed. If a unhealthy person chokeholds a healthy person, theres a very good chance that the healthy person will sucessfully resist. A possible scneario encountering could be where you go inside a building that your friend just went in and you see him being chokeheld. Just imagine seeing that. Possibily another mechanic could be where awhile chokeholding someone, you can take out your sidearm. If the person your chokeholding is being such a pain that you need to finish him off with a bullet, you can do so. Or he can just aim his gun infront of him, making the person's he is chokeholding friends back off a bit. There is also the chance of your friend hitting you in the head awhile being chokeheld xD would add tension. What do you think?

    Kicking,Stomping And Cutting Branches

Stomping idea sounds a bit good, although I imagine it looking weird though, I don't know why. And I think it'd be good if we could use other melee weapons, but if your using a knife I think it should take a lot longer, maybe a long timed animation, because with a knife you can't cut a branch in one hit. Also, when you post, pay attention to grammar please. Had trouble reading your post a bit, sorry If my reply is wrong or if your not native to the english language

    Time Alive

I like your idea of top 50 players, indeed it would make survivors try to get to the tops, and then those top survivors would obviously have a harder time surviving because of "Bandits/trolls" hunting them down just to get their place in the scoreboard for other players to see. But I bet in the full game, there's going to be a lot more satistics and mechanics to survival. I can't wait for the full game, It's going to be amazing. Good suggestion though! seems you put thought into it.

    Climbable Trees/Other

What I mean by this isn't the big ass trees. I mean seperate trees that are entities which allow players to actually climb on, and the model would look as if it was perfectly climbable. Once a player climbs into the tree, the leaves (If there are any on that particular tree) would camoflauge him, and he can get a pretty good view of the area ahead if he wishes if that tree is high enough. If a tree is a larger height, it'll take longer for the player to climb up. Shorter, it'd take a small amount of time. It could be used for escaping bandits, such as if your being chased into the woods, you can quickly, if you are far enough away from your hunters, climb up in a tree, and they will be able to run past you unless they are smart enough to check the trees. It would be a nice, realistic addition. Yes, I think people should be able to use weapons awhile up in the tree, and if this were to be added, the only thing I see people getting pissed off at are the snipers climbing up there and getting a really good spot. What do you guys think?

    Climbable Trees/Other

Also being inaccurate, I was thinking that since you'd be quite unbalanced ontop of a tree, if you're using an automatic weapon/rapidly firing a semi automatic weapon, there could be a system that represents a bar. Each time you fire in a tree, the bar will raise, and once it is completely full, you lose balance and fall off the tree. Mostly I'd like to climb up onto trees to remain hidden and be able to spot out my enviorment in a high tree Just a suggestion though, thanks for the replies guys.

    Slingshot (hand catapult)

Sweet Idea.. Ammo would be hard to find, but a weaker option but more common as such as a slingshot would be sweet. Stones are everywhere, so it won't be hard, and it would be a weak weapon, so it wouldn't be over powered. Good idea man, have my beans.
