Only butthurt if we want to hear news about progress with game mechanics, server to client networking, and the game engine. But I agree with you that people should not be upset with no more sniper rifles. I don't get their cyring over that. -
Then what a really bad move it was to wipe the entire world just to delete hacked magazines in my opinion. It's a very weak and desperate move to address hacking without actually trying to prevent paid hacks from being so easy to use in the first place. I simply don't understand why they bothered to wipe. I guess this is why I don't make games for a living. I would quickly be fired form the team for wanting to first prevent paid hacks from being so prevalent before punishing all the people who only purchase one copy of the game. Guess I'm insane.

If that was the main purpose then there was a shit load of misinformation being spread around. If I remember correctly there were statements from the dev team that something like "we want to address hacking and duping first BEFORE we do the wipe so it's more effective". It was somthing like that. But they didn't so anything at all to prevent active hacking from working. All they did was the wipe and make it a little harder for people who only purchase one copy of the game to dupe. But people who purchase multiple copies of DayZ so that they can keep using paid hacks????? Those sons of bitches are still able to hack their asses off. So I say again, the wipe was lame in my opinion.

The game barely handles the loot tables trying to respawn. How in Jesus, Mary, and Joseph could the current game handle working 3 ton trucks? Is this thread a joke? -
This is my biggest gripe with the "great wipe". There was nothing done to prevent professional hacks..... the wipe only deleted the many cloned hacked infinite magazines. Although I think they did make it harder to dupe. But how lame is it that people who can just pay for professionally made hacks were not hurt at all by the character wipe. Only players who do not pay for hacks were hurt by the wipe. Does no one else see the irony?

Thanks for posting but a little depressing to only read about new trees and pistols. Is there a link for any interviews with the people doing the game engine work or working on the network between clients and servers? I'd give a handjob to the first dude to ask honest questions to those people (and post it for the public). -
What is the point of locking a door if zombies still ignore some of the walls and doors? This is such a horrible and weird way to prioritize their development. I'm literally at a loss for words.

I honestly don't know what to tell you either because I cannot believe everyone would not agree that zombies are still flying through many walls even today. How can this possibly be an argument? Do me a favor. Go in front of one of the two long barrack buildings, (where hi-capacity vests spawn), anywhere on the map...... then aggro a zombie, go inside the long barrack building. Close the door. Then go inside one of the rooms.... I bet you your freaking life the zombie will go through one of the walls and proceed to kill you. Zombies to me are just as broken today as they were 11 months ago. Just because they go around a few fences now instead of through every fence........ does not provide for a consistent gameplay. There are shit-loads of walls zombies still go through. So really, how can you say some people are having a wonderful time with zombies now? -
Man, I guess you never, ever have been in the long barracks of any military base or about 20 other certain buildings that zombies have been plowing through the walls of every since they first tried the so called "pathing". It's hard for me to believe you play the game consistently but never see zombies go through the walls? There are dozens of certain buildings that allow zombies to go through them. Also, have you not seen a single crawler/hopper zombie come after you? I think they can go through even more walls and doors than the walking zombies.

I'm glad they are working in it more. Perhaps locked doors are being worked on YES. Or less zombies going through walls, or hacking is being reduced. I would rather see less updates but valuable fixes to the game.

I think the judgement is from frustration by all of the Dayz fans/players. Zombies are still going through walls, there is no bike, and hacking has not yet been reduced. So I think all of us huge supporters of the game are in bitter moods both in the game and out. I'm new here on the forum but that's what I'm theorizing.

This thread makes no sense to me. The engine cant even give us more than a few zombies per city. So how or why would we want npcs to bog down this game and not even get to fight or kill them?

I also got kicked for no reason. The piece of shit rule breaker even had the balls to warn me by global chat so i wish i was recording for evidence. But thus only happened once to me. Hacking has been the only big issue I have experienced.... Well and zombie wall collision.

Wait, I'm excited they are going to implement such an interesting feature in the game...... but please tell me why on Earth would they start working on this if zombies seem to be going through walls and doors just as bad today as months before? What is the point of locking a door if zombies don't even recognize a lot of the walls? This is absolute insanity and a strange way to waist time and effort.
