^^ Did you read any of the earlier posts? regular restarts are still pretty common, certainly for me at least. I've had no problems finding food our getting geared and yes the zombies are now much harder to kill

Guess I got lucky with guns - Makarov (2 mags), CR75 (1 mag), Sawn off, magnum and SKS with ammo for everything. But I did get a Vybor spawn so its kind of expected.

Experimental servers seem to be down at the moment, could just be wednesday down time. Ill try again later.

???? ooo is that a new feature, have to give it a try! Looking forward to finding out whats within todays update! Zombies are so tough atm - female zeds seem to run circles around me, it takes a lot of luck to take them down in melee. stealth system seems to be working well enough, will be better when clothing has an impact.

Heres my experience of 0.55 so far - sporadic bouts of lag, about 60% of gameplay was laggy. I was on DE 0-5 as it was the only experimental server I could find. The playability seemed to have regressed to 0.48 (i think) when we had the odd clipping issues on clothing (its back) and melee combat was nearly impossible, its lucky there are no zeds yet! The issue with the "no wall buildings" is back too. Ill put these issues onto the tracker. Only change I noticed was to the fireplace - it no longer changes when sufficient fuel is added, I added 5 sticks and a book and was able to light it - it changed after 10 seconds of burn.

My FPS & performance is as expected - better on quieter servers with low ping. So no, I have no idea why that happens to you!

My first time on 0.54: When I first loaded this version I had a blue screen and no menu too, I removed al my extra launch options like -nopause -nosplash etc (I had copied all the launch options straight from ARMA) and it loaded the new menu fine. However I couldn't connect to any exp servers, after reading peoples different methods the one I had success with was viewing the server details and connecting from there, had a good hour on just now fairly kitted up with 5 guns and ammo for 4 of them, no massive loot explosions, i think i just got lucky and was on a low pop server. I would say loot is about as common as before atm. Tried out the new compass (damaged and worn) both pointed north - they genuinly did! Makes sense to have a silva type comass, they would be far more common than the old brass things - both were still spawning which I like.

Experimental looks to be up and running! Just had a nice hour on it, looted myself some basic gear and was promptly held up by a guy in a barn who killed me afterwards :-( ungrateful mugger! For picking up stuck items I've found if its food that if i start eating it then stop i can get it, for other items just inspecting it and hanging around for 5-10 extra seconds can make it work.

I have the same issue, the server's are no longer displaying the players that were on at the time of the crash but they're still not working, we just have to play stable and wait.

Had an idea, if you could carry a back pack in your hands it would add a little more to looting runs and allow people an easy storage point at their camp - tents hidden deep in remote area are currently the only real option but with lockpicks coming in it could easily be a building or just a couple of backbacks hidden in a nook somwhere. I know you could leave your current backpack somwhere and hope to find another but I know I would rather have some good gear with me when looting a town What do people think?

My pc is fairly basic but runs very smoothly on the experimental mode - give it a go.

The normal version is almost unplayable for me due to lag and did occasionally crash - try the experimental version, it works much better.

My reasonable pc lags like a laggy thing on the normal servers but runs like a dream on experimental - which one are you using? On that note does anyone else have this issue? Anyone know why it happens?

Overall this experimental patch is far more stable than 0.49 for me - I experience almost no lag as aposed to the game often becoming unplayable. A few points (I know many of these have been raised before on this thread) - there seem to be more injury/death spots, my first chap ran into a fence and broke his leg and took a lond time to die as suprisingly breaking his leg gave him gills as I couldn't drown him! The second chap died on a rooftop for no obvious reason. occasionally the game crashes when returning to the main screen from the server lobby. My current chaps been alive for over 2 hours, he's doing well, I havn't played with many of the new items yet though. Had one issue with him where his down jacket randomly disappeard - along with my ammo :-( There seem to be about twice as many zombies around which is fine, they were a bit sparse before. All in all it's looking like a good improvment to 0.49 Thanks guys!
