There is most likely a reason why we don't already have one, seems like a simple thing to have. A trading board. It's really annoying to do it all in one thread. We could have 2, one for regular and one for hardcore.

I will actually head up black mountain on the servers I play on and try to establish a "survivor camp". Will try to get a defense group together to keep bandits away.

So, I figured I would keep a kind of "diary" here of what happens in the life of my DayZ character :P 26/10/2014 - Freshly spawned, I head for cherno. Along the way I meet a player that I can only assume is VERY new to the game. I gave him some bandages and food and offered to help him get some loot. We enter a barn in a small town just before Cherno and the "new player" accidentally kills himself but jumping off the stairs. He sound's surprised that such a small fall actually killed him, I'm not. I decide to not wait for him to spawn back in, he will only slow me down and become a problem. I enter Cherno and begin looting some of the high rises, all the while keeping a look out the windows. I spot a player down below, looting some of the cars so I decide to try and make contact. "Hello down there, I'm friendly, I have no guns" I say. He walks over to the building and we talk for a few seconds then he continues on his way. A few minutes later a hear a faint "Hey man, are you still here?" I go back to the window to talk to him. He found a SKS somewhere and he had come back to give it to me! What a legend! I thanked him very much and we both continued on our ways. After a while of looting, I went back to one of the smaller towns on the coast, In hope of meeting a fresh spawn to help. I sat on the edge of the forest for a while, scanning the area with my binoculars, waiting for someone to show up. After a while I got bored and decided to move to a slightly different position. I looked behind me (into the forest) and there is a guy in a white shirt sprinting at me with a fire axe. I quickly stand up from prone position and start running the other way, trying to get my SKS off my back (ofc I had to bash that fucking button 100 times before he did it). Once I had my SKS in my hands I double tapped caps lock and said; "Stop chasing me cunt, or I will shoot you" "Go on, shoot me then" He says. I think he thought I was bluffing. Possibly he thought I had no ammo for the SKS and was just trying to scare him. Oh, how wrong he was. I blasted that fool back to a fresh spawn :P Went back up into Cherno incase someone heard my shots and was coming to investigate. I entered one of those high rises that has the broken stairs and you gotta climb the ladder. After looting the building, I head back down. For some fucked up reason I thought I would just try going down the broken stairs instead of taking the ladder and my character fucking glitched into the wall! I jump/vault around, roll, everything you can think of to get out but it doesn't work, I'm stuck! I re-log hoping that will work but it glitches me even further! Now I'm stuck UNDERNEATH the building! After re-trying everything I could think of to get out, I give up. I go right into one of the corners and start dropping my gear, hoping I will be able to retrieve it if/when I die. Somehow, me taking my gear off and being right in the corner of this "glitch", it glitched me back out BUT ALL MY GEAR STAYED UNDER THE BUILDING! So, I'm alive and free again but I lost EVERYTHING! RageQuit! 27/10/2014 - Started to loot Cherno since I lost everything. Walked into one of the supermarkets and (in 3rd person view) I see a guy in the main room, pointing his gun at the door I was about to walk through just waiting for me. I retreat back to the far room and double tap caps lock; "Hey bro, I seen you there" I said "Don't shoot" "You friendly?" He says. "Yes, I am, but you're not?" "What you got on you?" He ask's after a few moments. "A mosin with no ammo and a fire axe" I replied. "Want ammo for the mosin?" I thought this was just a trick to get me out of the room so he could shoot me, but I took the risk. "Hell yeah bro, I'm coming out with my hands up don't shoot me" I walk out and he is there, fully geared, pointing his gun at me. He then proceeds to drop ammo on the ground for me, then walks out a door and closes it behind him (Most likely didnt trust me still) I thanked him very much, and never saw him again. I continue on my way, past electro to the air base right near there. After looting the place I head inland to the military base, and loot there aswell. Without a clue in the world where I am going, I head more in-land and find a large "military" town. After a few seconds of scoping the place out with my binoc's, I make my way to the closest building. As I enter I close the door behind me and start looting. As I'm looting the back room, I hear the front door open, footsteps and than someone eating... I aim my gun at the only door into the room I'm in and wait. The guy sprints in and I take two horrible shots at him, missing both. He runs back out the room and I double tap caps; "what the fuck are you doing here bro?!" I say. He doesn't reply. A few seconds goes by where I'm just aiming for that doorway. I see him sneaking a peek around the corner, I fire my mosin again at him and my screen goes black... "you are dead" Back to fresh spawn for me.

I've played on quite a few persistance servers now (claiming to be anyway) and they all seem to have literally almost no loot. I raided almost the whole of cherno. and the airfeild nearby. LITERALLY NOTHING. All I found was a fireaxe earlier.... I starved to death.. Is this normal for persistance servers?.....

I think the 60 seconds wait time to join the server is absolute BS. In that 60 seconds I was attacked, knocked out and killed by zombies! Like what the actual hell? I can't even see or move my character yet, but zombies can kill me? On top of that, all my gear dissapeared! My friend went to collect my loot only to find that most of it was gone. It was only him, myself and one other person on the server. I def could not have been killed by the other player, my friend would have seen or heard him!

That's so unfair in the case of a server restarting/crashing without warning. There's literally nothing that can be done to save you're life.

What server you on and where are you? 1st or 1st/3rd?

Just added a engraved 1911 to my kit. I know it's "very rare", but just how rare is that? Should I be proud of this find, or is this more common than I think?
