There are some issues with the 0.54. In case you haven't, delete the startup parameters (-nosplash), it seems to help some people (personaly i still run -winxp -malloc and some others). Haha, I was experiencing the same yesterday. Trust issues seems to be the thing in dayz lol. I get your feeling all the time! Not to mention, how many times i bump into a survivor just so we say "hi" to eachother and stare in akward silence aka "is he gonna shoot me now?" "now?" "how about now?". Yday I met a girl survivor three times. I was checking the new lakes than headed toward Khelm. Im thirsty so i drop my sporter in a bush nearby and take a sip. At that momment a survivor runs pass me. "friendly, friendly". Wearing a pink raincoat she indeed looked like she's not looking for trouble, but yknow, girls of chernarus are usualy heavily protected by their TS buddies and used as baits :D so lets not get all too friendly. Second time i saw her in Khelm. I see her carrying an SKS - probably no ammo. I was already double carrying my guns so i took a risk of giving her a blaze. We could have just grouped up but i get that weird feeling of VOIP company again so i head my way. I continued my route towards Krasno thru forest. I spotted a chicken and just when im about to shoot it some1 appears from behind. Same voice. I started laughing in VOIP, like, no way it's you again. She offered me some shotgun ammo which i didnt need and soon after ran off. Pretty sure she didnt come after me for some shotgun ammo knowing i have a 30rnd sporter, more likely she got her trust issues going and backed off :D Ran to Krasno where I immidiately spotted a guy with a cowboy hat & no backpack. Friendly encounters always soften me up (baaad baaad thing!!!), so i just assume he's friendly. I check the plains for any animals as he finaly catches up with me on Northern part of the town. Hidding behind a house he asks me if im friendly. I replied "but ofcourse fellow survivor, I've seen you entering the town before you even got that drybag&replaced your cowboy hat. No worries" Got my trust right there. He came out and asked me to group up. We headed towards Chernaya Polanas car dump. He would hardly say a word but this time im just gonna blindly trust him. Server restart.

As much as i agree mosin is full of awesome, this video just shows a bunch of newbies being slaughtered lol. With situation awarness like that, a screwdriver could kill all 7.

Aw, i once fell unconcious due to starvation aswell. I was with a group of survivors i met a few minutes earlier. We took a trip to the new prison island. I was constantly getting disconected so i ignored my hungry status in order to catch up with them. As we started swimming over, i started dying of starvation. Just when we reached the wooden dock, i collapsed. Last words i heard were "dont worry, dont respawn, i have a saline bag!" In one momment of my unconciousness i got back my hearing and i could see my quickbar for a few seconds, than it went back to full black and silence again. I waited for around 20 minutes then i hit respawn in case any of the survivors i met is still trying to wake me up.

Best way for me is not to sprint at all. Lying in water all day, being wet can and will backfire at you with freezing status. If you see an orange HOT status drop everything you're doing. For me it feels like the hot status comes after you like vodka. Sure it say "HOT" now, but run another 5 minutes and youll be dying from overheating in 10, even if lying on the floor doing nothing. Keep hydrated status prioritised. Dont ever stuff yourself on food. Be constantly hydrated. Its never a good idea to move out if you're not. Sprinting dry from vybor to NWEAF in a full gillie will kill you. If you're on the move, walk in every water to get wet. Dont sit in, just refresh your wet status. Don't do it if you're about to stop. You dont wanna be damp when you need to sit still. Dont sit wet in v3s. If you're playing on a pers:ON, take a backpack and none of these problems will ever exist. Personaly im not willing to risk those 5 seconds on non pers. servers :P (fu murphy, i know you) Also, when you are crafting a gillie I recommend to have free slots for whatever you are crafting. I've already lost a crafted hood because i was wearing a helmet & had no room in my inventory. The hood simply dissapeared uppon being crafted.Othervise its autoplaced on your head or empty 2x2 slot.

My thoughts eactly... it works so well versus infected yet it always finds a way to dissapoint me when i need to defend myself. I cant believe i didnt notice this. You even have the same avatar. Oh well. uhm..Good luck finding home :lol: ? Btw, sun shouldnt go completey west anyway, I believe the sun rises towards SE and sets towards SW because the days are getting shorter in autumn/winter. Dont take my word for it, i could be wrong altho I read this almost every weak on reddit when some1 posts a broken compass :D

Personaly i rage threw the compass away the first time i realised it trolled me. Never used it again. Yday I made a horrible mistake of using a shotgun. The damn random pellet thing is just so random im never picking up a shottie again. First I saw a zombie train chasing a guy in Electro so I checked it out. Guy was so happy to see me he opened fire some 100m away without really having any chance of hitting me at all. He then literally ran into my barrel just so he received no dammage what so ever.I hit the dude 4 times for no effect. He didnt even bleed.. i was about to f11 and shoot myself in the head right there with my last shell but he managed to kill me in the end.At least it took him over 90 bullets, as he killed me in his 4th reload. I Respawn at Bere, get a bow & leather vest. Passing kami when some squeeker starts calling me "hey dude". I turn around and see a freshspawn with mp133.. yeah ok..dont mind if i run off...he starts screaming "ive found a bandit" lol. Seriously? a bandit? I guess the bow gave me away.. They start chasing me and he breaks my legs in one snapshot from bloody 100m -.- I pull out my sawed off (no legs no bow..) and wait for him to come closer to give me the double tap. I shoot him. No dmg. You're dead. Got electro spawn and ran towards kamy. Doesnt take me long untill i track the little rat. He and his friends were in a fight with another party. I ran straight in just as he pulls out my ex sawed off, oneshots some other guy and oneshots me from a distance I wouldnt even bother. On that day halp swore himself he will never use a shotgun in this game again. God was mercifull and gave me vybor spawn after months. Went to veresnik where i watched two squads fight each other. I gained the trust of the winner; i rushed in his face with pickaxe and begged him not to kill me when animation ends. I told him i just want to take the dead bodies shoes if I may. He didnt reply, but he didnt shoot me either.He hid in his bush and let me be. I laid next to the body and started gearing myself.This guy was decked. I was afraid to pick up his mosin and mp5, afterall i only asked for the boots. Then another guy rushes this dude and they start shooting each other. The fight lasted forever. I swear they both had like two secondaries lol. The attacker failed to spot me, so Im thinking of grabing the juicy loot and run off, but something told me to go and help this defender as I heard his character scream from being shot. I try to wield my pickaxe but the character just wont do it, so i run right infront of the attackers gun trying to take a bullet. Seconds later, i manage to get the pickaxe in my hands and as he falls unconcious I start hitting him. I hear an autorifle firing and my screen goes black. Got elektro spawn again. I run down the street and see a gillie dude. "oh look, a walking bush!" The paranoid wookie kept screaming "were you the one shooting with the magnum? were you the one shooting with the magum???" - No dude i just spawned... "you're the one who shot me with a magnum!!!" - No.. You're dead. Dissapointed voice followed "Oh...it wasnt you." Gotta admit, he got me laughing.

cant help it, its interesting to watch them try after they surrender. Or after being held as a test bunny in a prison cell... That's the one lol. Gotta admire his patience. Looking forward to it :)

nevertheless he is right. your character gets a certain ammount of injuries after time(remember all those hits that didnt make you bleed?yup...) which you do not see in the "tab" screen.

Hehe, no offense but i always hope they will try to get away or deceive/trick you in some way. Too bad he got so impatient/incautious in the end. Anyway, i think i noticed this before, you never tell them to take off their helmet..nor to take off their gear. Any particular reasons or simply forgot? The way I see it, you would knock him down in first hit and more importantly, saw his weapon in a backpack. I too think he had a fair chance of gunning you down, but he fked up :D Anyway, nice video and I wish you allot of interesting victims for your tag&release purposes :)

i found 11 in severograd. One shed contained two tho. Second best was berezino with 8. Zeleno is usualy empty for me... Pustoshka has tons of sheds aswell. You can find them anywhere from piano house to car wrecks really. I so feel you. Once i finnished my ghillie i kept picking up the sacks :D

i find the roads around the green mountain particulary dangerous. I sunk there 3 times. Whatever you do, dont step out of the vehicle. Once i got auto teleported back to the surface when changing 1pp view to 3pp and in other cases I hit exit (cause the view trick didnt work) and reconected on the surface. Twice i had a passenger, it worked for him aswell. Might be worth mentioning the camera trick only worked when I drove over the edge of the map. Reconecting worked everytime inland. Expect some possible bugged stuff uppon reconecting; In my case my buddy had to reconect again.

Yeah something defenately changed. Im gonna see a zombie running right towards me, ill take out my axe and wait for it when all of the sudden other zombs just teleport behind my back/around me. As if they spawn around the persuing zombie intentionaly for a cheap swarm effect, its weird.I guess the respawn rate was shortened, or maybe they're just desyncing ( they did warn us about increased rubberbanding for 0.53 i believe..) As for the sounds im pretty sure some zombies eiher forget(bug?) or dont do the "persuing" scream.

As im preparing to cash out on a new rig aswell, this sounds encouraging :) Quality looks amazing, at first I thought you used 200% rendering.

I Often ask people to kill me. Only time I i ask for the "better spawn point" is when i get killed by some dickhead & must, absolutely, hunt that bitch down. The rest is pure boredom when i want to reroll but dont feel like pvping/KOSing untill someone puts me down.I already placed myself on svetlo square firing up in the air untill the first dude showed up & blew my head off. Sometimes i don't "feel" the area im in. Thats usualy the main reason. Im sure you can all relate to it. Sometimes i feel like being in svetlo. Sometimes i would prefer roaming around berezino.Sometimes i just wanna get a spawn near skalisty so i can have my peacefull farm there. If i get a cherno spawn that i was playing intensively for the past 4 days, i will ask you to kill me (ok i wouldnt cause dying in cherno is EZ). I dont really do it often because i have 10+ private characters on all different parts of the map for that reason only, but sometimes you just respawn in that "not again" Area. I usualy like kambiwobo spawn. I run up to msta and staroye and im all happy shooting my arrows. If, for some reason i get the same spawn some 2-3 times in a row, it gets slightly repeating and boring so..mind using that sledgehammer, pls? I think majority does it for the same reasons. Most people who asked me to kill them were either after for a vengeance or playing with friends who they wanted to meet up. Whoever asks you to kill him to get a few inches closer to the next mil. area.. well im pretty certain he cant be much of a good player if he needs to do that. This is pretty much my end gear. I have no desire to be an assault rifle pinata unless i stumble uppon one myself. Awesome story :D I was stalking a guy from topliniki(?) to NWEAF. I stalked him for so long i could tell whats his ingame name since there was only tons of [clan]folks. I didnt shoot him tho, just scared him a bit, talking from a bush, calling out his name "hello jack" . He pulled out his rifle, panicking and i was like "Dont do that jack" as in you gonna die ... and he put it back into his inventory and just ran off :D I had to go my own way as i was dying of dehydration. It happend at the prison, so he might thought i just used the wall glitch.

Not sure why but "very high" weather settings only added the weird black shadows to the pine trees. Was hoping for a cloud or two.

I dont think they are going to make an animation for every type of melee that can open a can...There's like 20+ different tools that can do that. 20+ different animations just to open a can? Sounds like a waste of resources to me.

Only when they desync.They are also more rare than weapons. There is so many weapons it's not even funny how fast i get geared up. If i dont get a firearm in first 5 to 10 minutes, something is really wrong. Just open up the dayzdb map... its all RED. Hell, i have no problem getting fully geared up on full pop servers... I cant tell how often i see people leaving the building just so i enter it and find everything from PU scopes to protective cases. I swear people are just blind. I guess they check the police station 'cause thats obviously the only building that spawns any kind of weaponry and than they walk to another town and try their luck there...idk Im trying to figure out this phenomena for a while now.. Honestly, as it is right now, i find gearing up is way too easy. Its not even a challange. Unless you deliberately avoid it, i find it impossible not to end up with at least LRS sniper or semi auto with a PU+ full gorka set within an hr of playing. Currently impro knife is bugged, but it takes 1 slot just like the can opener. There's plenty of can openers tho. I prefer playin the axe roulette. Sometimes i split the can and for some reason i pick the 5% end up...i would much rather suck the other 95% off the floor.

I like the idea of the new igname menu where players wont be allowed to change fov settings once ingame. I think thats a lil victory for everyone being bothered by it.

I played public for the first time since the wipe... I just found a mosin and some rounds when I caught a gillie guy near berezino parking dump who wouldnt talk, type, nor "F2". I caught him overlooking berezino and the bere-nižhoe road, but I didnt want to assume he's there for banditry. He tried to make a run for it..if only he didnt run in the pub. Too bad. It was a fair cqc mosin vs mosin fight tho.Than i tried to find a leather sewing kit which seemed to be mission impossible. I found a v3s and two mp5 magazines by the time server restarted. Second guy... oh my... I reconected on a roof to make a shot with Clouds ON (cant believe i forgot that...); http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/156341-lets-post-some-screen-shots-standalone/?p=2207538 Obviously this is a very bad boy roof as we all know and as soon as i connected, i heard a sound of someone climbing up the ladder. Eek, here it goes. To make things worse it was daytime. If i get caught with a mosin up here.. Anyway,Im on top of the roof, inside the elevator shaft waiting forever for this guy to decide to come up. I figured he must've heard me and is not comming up. I was pretty sure he will try to enter the building thats north from my position to get a shot on me.I try to get a visual but no luck.I go back in the shaft. I take my time and wait. in about 5 minutes i hear the ladder sound again. I look down the shaft but noone is there. Than my stupid brain realised what's going on. There's a guy ABOVE me. Someone actualy climbed the ladder and lied on top of elevator shaft or reconected there. Somehow he was blind not to see me.Seriously nervous now, i came out of the shaft as i see a guy with a wrapped AK, gorka, high capacity and what not. I unleash my magnum. No way we could talk this out. I lie down next to him. For some reason i cannot finnish him; my gun couldnt aim that low. I reload and start checking his gear. In the middle of it he wakes up and pulls out an AK. I spray him with magnum again, this time for good. His dead body falls down the ground, i still receive a few desynced ak rounds second later. I Royaly fucked it up as he had handcuffs & saline and this was the first guy i didnt kill in 3rd magnum shot. If he was there for the killing id leave him handcuffed and lighten up the roof with fire. Had to share it 'cause i think the story goes great with the photo i took :D Ended up in blood bath.
