hum, i'll try veresnik for backpack and vest, but i might see people there.... hope they are friendly, i have a stick too thought :) i was easily healthy with apples and berries only, but cold is a threat, i wonder if i tear my shirt into rags to make a fire and roast some apples to keep me warm, or if i leave my shirt alone for the moment...

i just tried the hotbar, it works amazingly well :o , switch like CS : GO edit : wooden sticks now take two horizontal slots and disapear if sharpened on the ground

yep, still no loot. i'll try to get more inland to have more chances to find new stuff when they come.

i agree with that. currently, the "biggest" streamer (1500-3000 viewers every streams) is a french guy (BIBIX) that play 95% electro PVP mayhem, killing almost every players he sees. i wonder if he was not invited because of his gameplay or because he seems to not speak english very well. he did a terrible work for the french community, leading a lot of players (often young males under 25yo) to that exclusive type of gameplay.

a lot of people (at least, those i encounter ingame) tend to play different styles. sometime veresnik geared PVP, sometime elektro mayhem, sometime the hunter, sometime the trapper, sometime the farmer, the friendly guy, the bandit that rob and release, the psycho, the traitor, the troll... i've done them all and they all can be funny as long as you try other gameplay experience too. most "CoD" players (i don't like this expression but it speaks to everyone) already left the game for me (they are not in exp or private servers, only on full public 3PP server in cherno/elektro/berezino), those that remain will evolve with the gameplay changes. DayZ addicted players will continue to adapt and play different styles. one thing i'm sure of : players will continue to PVP ;)

hoppers know that barracks are empty now, if you want to catch them, camp "bathroom" (guard smal building, unenterable, with one colum on the left side). just go one guy there, they stand still to loot these places, easy shots, easy loot :) . the guy that i got had PSO 1 and PSO 1-1, fulls smersh vest... no wonder if he hopped :P Harry, the first good advice i had on 0.56 was : "don't use your hotbar" ;)

i almost feel bad to find all this loot after a week of diet. cow are no more an endangered specie in chernarus :) seeing wild animals againg feels good, it's been a long time time since a saw a stagg. a few questions, i runned into a few smokers (american crash sites) and found a LRS, does it fit on anything now ? or is this just a relic from the past ? does somebody found a BUIS sight recently ? i'ts been month since i found one.

that wipe provoked a lot of action last few hours. a few minutes after the loot wipe, my girlfriend was killed by a guy that needed food, bad timing since food was plenty at that moment. i found myself running into two guys at the NWAF tents on UK 5 0-1, they were at 5m of me gun out, i freaked out (i never trusted geared groups), shot one of them twice, and killed the other one after a short pursuit while he was trying to combat log (i hate that). i didn't talked and probably overeacted, if they read this, my apologies :( . i still have the cooked meat glitch, pretty anoying ! and cooked meat stay hot in my inventory, making me overheating after a few minutes :| . i hat to get rid of all my cooked meat hardly earned

same here, glad to read this. they should take some time to adress these problems before rolling the update to stable. i'd still like a little wipe thursday to help us wait another week :)

it's getting a little worse every time someone loot an usufull item, so day after day... even far inland location are pretty empty, coast are picked clean, some isolated places retain some loot. i too have been able to gear up quite nicely, but with a good spawn and a good loot run, with a good amount of berry/apple picking. i had luck with southwest little towns, north spawn were hard ones, not mutch thing to loot. still possible to gear up, but it's getting more and more boring (very few players, normal items being very rare, hard to find backpacks, no infecteds, no loot in crashes/wreck/military area/big cities). i hope we'll see improvements in CLE soon, it's kind of slowly killing the game for most players right now. i still can't take a break, i need my dayZ exp session almost every days :D

i think that everyone that played the exp last two days had the same experience. CLE is obviously miles away from working as intended. i'm pretty sure that items does respawn, but not everywhere and about 1/10-100 the rate they should respawn. item despawn when untouched is probably an issue too, they seems to stay on the ground forever, which is why non usefull items are a majority now. all servers are almost empty, you have to pick berries or apples for roughtly 20 minutes before reaching a place where you can find 1-2 usefull items (with luck). found it fun at first, i still manage to gear up but it's gettin boring with time. i had the luck to find weapon accidentally dropped by peoples in front of deer stand, it's been my main source of weapons since 2 days. serverss crash are a pain in the ass too. when you spend 3h to find 1 pack of seeds and the server crash while your plants are growing just makes me mad. same goes for hunting, i mainly survived on putoshka cows, and encountered a bug that makes me die : i cooked 4 pieces of meat (hand drill, hashwood sticks, stone knife, no axe and low capacity storage, it's a pain), then the server crashed. i get back on it : my meat was looking uncooked but warm red. i cooked one of these pieces again (had to find all materiel again of course) : it looked burnt... ok, so i ate the last 3 thinking they were just cooked fine since they burn when cooked again : i became sick... and died somes minutes after (not easy to find charcoal when there is almost no loot). rage quited the game :P . i think we all need a wipe at least in the next few days !

well, that happen... i had bad luck with the crashes, i played roughtly 1h after this and didn't had any single problem/crash. the tower (green mirrador) that killed me is on the left side of the north "bathroom" in pavlovo military base. first time i die from one of those, they yield good loot (backpacks/weapons/food/clothes) and nobody seems to loot them. take a loot a those, you'll be surprise (but with caution ;) )

i made one garden today, full of tomatos, and before i harvested it, the server crashed. joined another server, made another garden, plated all my seeds, crash again... join another server, climb a mirrador, scoot a little with my winchester then pulled my weapon away without moving : made me apear out of the mirrador = death. not my day, definitely not my day :(

well, i harvest agaricus campestris (rosés des prés) since i'm old enought to walk, it's my favorite shroom. i was told by my grand-ma to not eat those that turn yellow, in fact i found very few of those, and they smell different and i heard many times that you can recognize immedialty them when they are cooked because they taste awfull (one bite will not make you sick). i harvest shrooms for about 20 years and i still not have been sick once with those. Cantherellus cibarius (girolles) and Hydnum repandum (pied de mouton) are my other usual targets, only the first can be mistaken with a toxic one (for very untrained eyes). i definitely woul not recommand to harvest shrooms with the only experience of things red in books, but if you harvest them for years, you can easily pick the good ones 99.9% of the time, and the 0.1% left, you'll know you've made a mistake on the first bite, which is without consequences.

it happend from time to time these days. click on the red cross in your inventory to remove weapon from your hands, then drag it back in your hand, all the attachments should be back on the weapon (including mags). repeat a few times if it doesn't work. i would have been quite mad if it happened to me in a firefight situation > :(
